In this case, Rory got enough preliminary info on the vehicle needing recovery to know how best to address the customer, who is footing the bill! That is next level!! Having researched the type of vehicle and all its nuances shows why they are so good at what they do! No oopsies, ever! Trailmater rocks!

If enough people don't watch, then the tool bag seller will decide to find other ways to make money. Complaining about it on someone else's RUclips channel probably won't have as much of an effect.

That was amazing! I am so glad I talked my daughter out of buying one of those and paying for it for 6 years. Plastic pan on an $80k off road vehicle makes zero sense. I love the way you so eloquently described it for what it is… and I’m a Ford guy 😅
Not a day goes by that I'm not vindicated in building my classic truck not buying new. I just can't imagine spending 90k + on an off road vehicle that can't go off-road 😂
My wife having owned the big old school Bronco, laughs at the new ones. Myself, I just keep my Silverado diesel on the pavement. Regardless, the scenery in this video, as with many others, is breathtaking. I have so much respect for team Rory, strong equipment and talented people. 😊

l would really like to see Rory take a Bronco on one of those trails and see how far he can go with it using his skills, knowledge and years of experience. Especially if the Bronco had a few minor mods like decent bash plates etc. lt would be a great challenge and l think we'd all be surprised how well it would do.
Note to self: put some skid plates on my Bronco before driving it on a trail like that one. So far I have stuck to easier stuff, like the White Rim Trail. I enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing with us.
Note to self just because it says 4 x 4 worthy doesn’t mean it’s 4 x 4 worthy they’re built like junk from the factory. I know they don’t tell you in the owners manual that want to spend 50 grand bronco you’re gonna have to put 25 grand in it to make it worth of shit. Have a good day
@@beaumont9072 Actually, mine was under $40K and has been great for driving in the hills and through mud and snow. As long as I stay away from the big rocks it works very well unmodified. You must be a Jeep guy or something.
Certainly if you are going off roading you want at least the factory skid plates. BD and BL come with them. WT only gets the front if it has the Mod Front bumper.

My prior 3 zj version grand cherokee all came with factory skid plates, my current 98zj lerado upcountry edition has even beefier versions than the prior 3 regular laredo ones had, and a 5.2 instead of the 4.0
I saw on Andy’s Instagram that he cracked his trans pan in Moab, and he said he had to hire a recovery team. But I was not expecting to see his rig on Rory’s video. Such a weird collision of worlds lol

You guys should do a little episode of the wheel tire setup and sizes on each of the rigs… might not be cool to some people but to some like me would be super cool to know are those 35’s 37’ 40’s would really help put a lot more perspective on just how big some of these rocks are and how deep some of the stuff your going through is. Haha, Love it. My groups had the first bronco to find that flaw in the trail during a deep snow run. Ended up doing a run for parts, spending the night and then replacing the pan the next day. Talons Garage fixes that issue now;)

It is just beyond me how people think because they bought the "Super Off road" version of any brand of vehicle. That they can then go run the same trails they have seen purpose built vehicles do. And to do so without looking their new car over to see if there may be a weak spot. While it does make for some great content and revenue for Rory and crew. This type of recovery has to be very expensive, or at least it should be, for the owner. As always this was a great recovery for the team. Big D seems to be a bit long in the wheel base for these trails.

You could just roll it on it's roof, and put the transmission fluid in the hole it came out of. Then stick the putty in the hole. Hope this helps next time.

Two words - skid plates. You can order them with the vehicle or put them on after market. It's not all that difficult to protect the vehicle.
