    I actually bought this product last year, however when I apply to my skin, it felt abit tingling 🤣. Therefore, I'm stop using it, and only apply the product on my body. However, I feels like I need to start using this product again, but I'm abit confused how to incorporate this product into my routines.
    This is my current skin routine:
    -Oil cleanser: Kose Cosmeport Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil
    -Cleanser: COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
    -Toner: SOME BY MI, AHA.BHA.PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner
    -Serum/essence: Yuja Niacin 30 Days Blemish Care Serum/ The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
    -Moisturizer: Yuja Niacin Brightening Moisture Gel Cream
    My additional night routine (which I use 2-3x a week interchangeably)
    -Deriva Adapalene Gel (3x a week at night)
    -COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (3x a week at night)
    So how can I incorporate COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid in my skin routine? I'm scared that I will be over exfoliating my skin.

      Hello :)
      Well, that is because it contains Glycolic Acid, which often leads to issues in sensitive skin types, or let's say it is like rolling dice if you tolerate it well or not ;)
      The best would be to use it instead of your BHA Blackhead Power Liquid because you are already using Differin and, on the other days, the Some BY MI toner, which also contains exfoliating acids.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  3 года назад +2

      Deciem/The Ordinary recommends not doing it. And based on my experience, I agree. It can be a very intense combination and lead to irritation. I mean, unless you are counting the drops, so let's say you use 2-3 drops of lactic acid and 2-3 drops of glycolic acid and mix it in the palm of your hand and apply it to your face. But if you use both exfoliants after another and do this for several weeks, it will lead to irritation sooner or later. It's just too much exfoliation over time. So be careful with the amount and frequency.

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  Год назад +1

      Glycolic acid is a type of alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that is commonly used in skincare products for exfoliation and to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. While it can be effective in helping to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells, it may not be the best option for treating milia. Milia are small, white, cyst-like bumps that commonly appear on the face and are caused by trapped keratin under the skin. They can be difficult to remove and may require a different type of treatment, such as manual extraction by a dermatologist or esthetician.

      Hello Aisha,
      I suggest visiting a local dermatologist because if you have fungal acne, you need to use medication you cannot get over the counter.
      Also, Benzoyl Peroxide and AHA (Glycolic Acid) are unsuitable for sensitive skin. So you basically got the wrong products 😕
      The correct order would be (keeping the frequency in mind for AHA and Benzoyl Peroxide) :
      AM:
      Cleanser
      Benzoyl Peroxide Gel (Not suitable for sensitive skin and often leads to redness or further sensitivities)
      Moisturizer
      Sunscreen
      PM:
      Cleanser
      COSRX AHA Whitehead Power Liquid. (Best would be their BHA, the Blackhead Power Liquid)

      You would only use an AHA to work on your skin surface for textured and bumpy skin. Still, you need to adjust the frequency of how often you can use it.
      I haven't tried Neutrogena's PHA cleanser so I'm not sure how gentle or intense it may be. Still, overall you would use a gentle (non-exfoliating acid) cleanser when using an AHA exfoliant or Differin Gel to reduce sensitivity.
