  • In the Hall of the Mountain King by E. Grieg because the guy in the practice room next to me was playing it 😂 Just for fun - not a great rendition (this is the first time I've played it in years).

I dont know why this was recommended to as a non-tubaist, but i enjoyed the premise and honestly good playing for not playing a piece for 5 years for such a hard piece. Keep it up!

I remember when you played this five years ago. Someone was watching with me and hummed along!

What brand and model is your tuba?

I'm not totally sure of the model, but it is a full-size Miraphone tuba

@@tubakessa5368 Thanks! I have a Conn 20J (6/4 size) and an Olds 0-99 (supposedly 3/4)--quite a difference in size and especially in weight between the two! I find the large Conn easier blowing. However, I sometimes wish I had 4 valves in at least one of them so I could have a better chance of getting into the pedal tone range, but at least I can get a solid Eb false tone, and even down to a C on the Conn but it isn't very strong. I noticed that the keys for your rotary valves are arranged in somewhat of a curve to fit one's fingertips better, which is excellent. I had never played rotary valves until I got a French horn.
I'm looking forward to your future videos! 🙂
