I have a pair of TCX Hero boots and I love them, the Blends should perform similarly except without the zip. I've run them through incredibly heavy rain (like, huge torrential thunderstorm with tornadoes nearby with trees falling on the road sorta rain we get here in Ontario, Canada) and the only thing I will say is like all other waterproof boots, if you're in heavy rain and not wearing waterproof pants, rain's gonna flow down your legs and waterlog them. So get a waterproof pant layer too, if waterproofing is important to you.
I have the x-blend v1 and the Merlin bandit. Both are great. Bandit is more rugged - d30 in the ankle is unobtrusive - I wear them even as normal boots. Wearing them right now!
I don't like laced boots if the laces are not covered. Stopped at traffic lights went to put my feet down and one lace hooked onto the gear lever nearly ended up on the road.
Hello from France ! I'm not really new rider ( but it 'll be realize soon !) and I was looking for my riders equipment, and discovered your channel ! Well, such a lot of information, and vids, pics and so on !! Congrats, and I subscribed But, I was looking on BELSTAFF DURATION, and... I couldn't find them in stock in my size ( 42) :-(( I'm very disappointed,, could you tell me if the will be on stock soon ? Have a nice evening, Regards, John Christopher
I didn't want boots that were too chunky so went for the Alpinestar J-6's. Cracking boots, bit tight to start with but now I've spent some time in them they are really comfortable. I only ride vintage scooters so don't need mega chunky boots but wanted something that would offer me a level of protection.
I had the earlier RevIt Rodeo boot. I loved the style but will never buy a RevIt boot again due to faux heel inserts and a glued on sole rather than welt so they couldn’t be resoled. For the price that seemed ridiculous. I’ll buy something with a welt sole next time. Lesson learned.
Hi Julio, if you go onto the product page and see the reviews section you will be able to say all the feedback from customers: www.urbanrider.co.uk/belstaff-duration-pull-up-leather-boots-black.html - Iza
had the TCX Blend before, great boots. the TCX Blend 2 are terrible, the leather on the left boot scuffs after a few rides and the toe of the boot indents. loved my other ones but they have stoped making them
The TCX Blends (1 and 2) always felt a bit off to me, they don't seem like real leather somehow? The Merlins actually come off better in this video but I haven't actually handled them to verify this!
Tried the Blend 2's... ended up returning them. They're nice overall but my biggest issue with some of these boots is they are not flexible enough around the ankle for me. It makes it very difficult to pull the shift lever upwards when going through the gears. Also the toe area is so devoid of feeling, I can hardly tell if I'm making contact with the gear level or not.
"not flexible enough around the ankle" Are they not AIMING exactly to archive that?!? No flexibility no broken ankles. ANYWAY maybe you ll try to check out the TCX Dartwood GTX, extremely comfortable shoes, even for walking :)
I wish I could still buy the x-blend, look way nicer than the blend 2; I have the TCX Fuel, and although nice, they’re a bit too big and bulky for my levers and can occasionally get my foot stuck under the gear lever (but I am still a noob 😂)
Are these that much different from a good pair of sturdy leather work boots like Blundstones or Rock Roosters? I find those work boots to be supremely comfortable, great for touring when you need to walk around for hours in between rides. Cheaper too.
Are any of these REALLY waterproof? Why not test them in Scottish rain on an actual bike? Otherwise this 'review' is just an advertorial for trendy lifestyle boots for poseurs.
I've owned two pairs of tcx boots and the durability was terrible. Would not recomend. CE accreditation is a low bar, so traditional boots are more protective.
The main thing you want if you are going for a construction boot/safety boot is one that has a stiff shank. The sole should not flex or twist too much.
I’m hunting for a pair of boots that are going to hold up for a long time and break in before falling apart. $200 would be a bargain. I’m a poor person so every so often I will buy something expensive that I expect to last a really long time. And you have to spend some money for things like that.
It is actually affordable compared to the rest, but hear me out brother I just looked at amzn and there are quite a few from 80 to a 100£ range which is quite decent, I think they were Richa, RST, but if you get an Alpinestar that will be above that price.
The belstaff boots, either these or the laceups, are the only ones worth buying. the leather quality and construction of the others is pretty much garbage
All ugly! True, some are more ugly than the others, but when all is said and done, ugly is still ugly and you've managed to find some of the ugliest available--no easy feat, that!

I've got the TCX Metropolitan GTX and I absolutely love them!
Great to hear!

HI James! Great to hear!
I have ,gasolina boots,Goodyear welted sole, absolutely top quality, been riding 45,years,superb boots, hand made
Daytona AC classics GTX are amazing.
So you choose to let out the very best of all the classic biker boots, the Daytona ac classics gtx?
I don't like laced boots if the laces are not covered. Stopped at traffic lights went to put my feet down and one lace hooked onto the gear lever nearly ended up on the road.
I'll second that. Bikes and laces don't mix (or they mix too well !)
That's why you tuck your laces in !
@@dietznutz1common sense really
I have an earlier version of the TCX - was and is great. Highly recommend them.
Yeah, sucks that they discontinued them

Hi Christopher, glad to hear you came across us and you enjoy our channel!
We should have a restock of the boots in a few weeks! - Iza
Make way for Indie ridge boots!
I didn't want boots that were too chunky so went for the Alpinestar J-6's. Cracking boots, bit tight to start with but now I've spent some time in them they are really comfortable. Thanks for sharing!
Whats the melody at the start of every boot showcase
No Indie Ridge???
Your opinion of budget and mine are a long way apart!
I have a size 14 shoe and what tends to happen is the boots are just too giant for the bike… so frustrating.

TCX for me. The John Doe offering looks better in black.
yeah white shoes on a moto, that's a no go
Have the TCX Blend replaced the Hero?
love the look of the belstaff duration boots. some reviews mentioned they're not great for wider feet, which is a bummer.
Is there a shorter patch you can sew onto a botboot toe box
Are there any urban boots with ankle bracing like the A* SMX?
No Lewis leathers?!
Looking at getting the Belstaff. Any bad reviews out there?

De alguien su pie mide 25.5 CM? Que talla debo elegir para comprar las REVIT PORTLAND?

The Txc blend one looked so much better too
Please do top boots for heat waves because I live in your heat wave temps 5 months of the year
Look at the FURYGAN GET DOWN 😉
I have the John doe. They would be better if they have a zipper cover. My bike side panel is all scratched up cus of the zipper

You can adjust your gear lever up and down. Most bikes it just requires loosening a nut on the shifter and twisting the shaft (ha).
@@chorseundgrd aha nioce, but seriously thanks for that, I’ll have a look into it
Are all of these Goodyear welted? That is a requirement
Are these that much different from a good pair of sturdy leather work boots like Blundstones or Rock Roosters?
I find those work boots to be supremely comfortable, great for touring when you need to walk around for hours in between rides.
Cheaper too.
The ankle and toe armor is the biggest difference. The moto boots might have stiffer soles too, even tho some work boots do have really stiff soles.
TCX BOOTS £190 VERY AFFORDABLE?? MAYBE TO THE WHITE COLLAR WORKERS..
£190 is very cheap.
Steel cap zip up work boots. £20.
Just use old Army boots. Alot cheaper & tough enough for the battlefield.
Belstaff looks like sandals with socks from certain angles.
Are any of these REALLY waterproof? Why not test them in Scottish rain on an actual bike? Otherwise this 'review' is just an advertorial for trendy lifestyle boots for poseurs.
Nothing is water proof, only water resistant.
Also goretex is a scam.
I've owned two pairs of tcx boots and the durability was terrible.
Would not recomend.
CE accreditation is a low bar, so traditional boots are more protective.
good pair of cat or timberland boots will out do most of these boots and half the price.

£190 …”a nice affordable price” urban rider I love you but for a lot of us that’s far from affordable,
For bike equipment, yeah that’s affordable lol

Haha, white motorboots. Clutching 3 times and the left boot has got a black stain on top.
All though boots are frecken ugly...give me a pair of Danner Boots, and life on my Harley-Davidson makes for a relaxed ride!
👊respect👊
there are a lot more better boots than these here featured
