I cannot stress how important basic gear is... a couple of weeks ago I saw a guy go down and he was just wearing jeans and a t shirt at about 35mph. I stopped to help him and phone emergency services, both of his arms were basically skinned, his legs were covered in gaping patches with no skin underneath and his shoulder was almost scraped to the bone. It was a horrific sight and I couldn't imagine the pain he is going to go through on his road to recovery.
i got lucky on my scooter and hit a car going 30mph, skinned my right leg but i couldn't really walk well for a week cause i couldn't bend my knee and had to keep my wounds bandaged otherwise i'd get an infection. i realized how important riding gear is after that even though i got out of that crash relatively unscathed
@angeryanimal398 I hope you have fully recovered my friend. We shouldn't need one but wake up calls from near death experiences will absolutely shock you into gearing up properly in the future lol
@@yobaafett yeah man im good now, thanks. But we as humans learn from our experiences and the two things i learned from that is to be more careful while lane splitting and wear gear. Happy riding 🙏🏿
I don't even have a motorcycle just an ebike but I'm buying safety gear since at 35mph your body doesn't care if it's a motorcycle or a bike on steroids.
Same here but actually i was the idiot that wasn’t wearing the gear. I just got into the motorcycle world and was not that cautious, the only thing I was wearing was a helmet and a t-shirt and sweatpants. And oh lord did i regret that quick, i fell at around 70kph and thankfully my head was ok but i cant say the same with the rest of my body. Please stay safe guys👍

So glad that you gave Speed and Strength their due in this video. They are an underrated apparel company when it comes to motorcycle clothing, IMO. I've always enjoyed, and felt protected, wearing their gear. P.S. You can always hem or fold up pants that are too long. There are no remedies for pants that are too short.
I'm really surprised that this channel is so under-sub. Like you deserve at least 2M. 5M at max for now considering how long and consistent your channel is
I just bought those shoes last week and was very surprised with how much air flowed through them considering how thick the leather is. Definitely worth the price and will buy them again if they're still available when the time comes.
ok the visual gag about "makers" struggling to not plaster their logo as F9 logo was emblazoned across his chest is just fantastic, multidimension writing. great work y'all.
The delivery of the politician joke absolutely KILLED me! Even if I wasn't into motorcycles, I would still visit this channel for their amazingly entertaining content.
I subscribed immediately after watching this review first time. Revzilla and other product influencers out there need to learn from you. Great job. Keep up the good work !

Love these videos. Looking forward to the dual sport episode. It would be great if you did one for women's gear (maybe a female F9 staffer can model?) - us ladies always get left out.
I have the Black 9s in black and LOVE them. You're 100% on the air flow, above 40 mph. The fit is nice if you've got wide feet. They feel great if you have to walk in them long distance.
Not going to lie to you FortNine, at first I thought you were an annoying nerd, but the more I watch your videos the more I find myself enjoying the person/personality whatever you've got going. Keep at it man; top notch videos for sure. Peace
"A thick enough piece of leather to choke a vegan on their tears"... Honestly this is the most quotable ad for motorcycle gear I've ever seen. It's inspiring. You're my content marketing hero.
Lol, sounds like something Ryan would say. Made me laugh. Anyway, have you checked out the Alpinestars jackets? Very short on a guy and a few even have reverse position zippers. Saw some on eBay.
Revzilla is getting a wider array of women's wear regularly. Hope you can find something that fits well soon. Was able to use their charts to find a nice Olympia jacket for my wife about a year ago.
Seems like a lot of the women's gear was designed with tomboy women in mind, not real women. Can't find a jacket to fit my wife's "generous" chest measurements...despite her not being a big person.
I don't know if they are still working at Joe Rocket, but several of their in house garment designers were women. I had one helping me get the right fit on a jacket and they appreciated working the show booths for retailers so they got feed back from riders, male and female.
@@scotteger6271 "Tomboy" women not "real" women?? WTF does any of that mean? So not only do we have the worst time finding gear that works, which apparently you're an expert on, now you're here to tell women what kind of bodies make us "real" or not? Kick rocks, man. 🙄

I bought S/S shoes about five years ago. About a year after that the soles at the foot pegs were almost gone. Who knew Shoe Goo was still available. I found the Shoe Goo at Walmart for a few dollars.
