I too agree. I also hate how the sound gets muffled as your HP drops, it makes rechalling extremely hard to time because of how much info you're stripped of
I think the db shotgun is better than the ak, It's a one shot close range and you have two shots the only thing making players not using it is because you can't just miss your shots and you have to train your trigger finger. The db is op with the splinter cell operators aswell, having wallhacks or invisibility can help you get closer to your enemies.
Honestly, snipers in general just need extra flinch. If I take a 1v1, And I have an M4, and they have a tac50, If I shoot first, I should win 90% of the time if we are equal skill. But if he lands his skill check and hits me first, then he deserves the kill. I should never be able to push someone perfectly, aim perfectly, move perfectly so they miss, just for them to rack a new round into the chamber and delete me because of the ridiculous fire rate and 0 flinch. I die way too often to that shit and it's tanking my stats like crazy.
Ye it's just straight up good, I have been permagrinding last beta. Will grind it now aswell. I reccomend you try the p90, that thing is a beast. (Extended, rapid fire, grip tape, precision n ultralight)
I like this game a lot. I wish I wasn't killed around corners so much, but its new and apparently netcode related, like everything with a newly released title. The only critique I can think is it feels kinda barebones. I want flak jacket (or any perks) after seeing 2000x nades, given there's not many nade options to even choose from (sticky grenade is NOT a different nade, its the same fkn thing man) I also like killstreaks. I miss them here. But the abilities feel really solid (besides the stupid watchdogs robot that jumps on your face) and I love trying out the different guns and seeing what I like.

The server is super delayed. A lot of the "Hit detection" issues are literally just the server being a low tick rate. The reason your bullets did nothing is because you were dead before you started shooting. The guy who killed you had killed you LONG before you managed to shoot them back.
this game is pretty simple and easy to play, but i think they should add more contents within a few months or it will die, it can run on bad computers unlike the finals so thats a good thing
The finals died because it added SBMM to casual playlists and made every "good" player go against meta slaving 3 stacks. It was amazing and doing great UNTIL they added SBMM.

XDefiant reached 1 million players in 2.5 hours, that's faster than Apex Legends and is now over 3 million in a couple days and holding that player count. The only people not enjoying XDefiant are the people that SBMM protected

I’ve tried Mp7+p90 & they melt. Ak is my favorite rifle but acr, m16, m4 all fry too. Snipers & shotguns are balanced & actually require skill, there isn’t a gun that’s way better than the rest & feeling like this off launch this game for sure deserves its flowers
The actual *feeling* of the guns is good, they don't snap around, very minimal visual recoil, and overall are smooth experiences all round. After playing further, the current gun tier list is: S: MP7, P90, ACR, Tac50 A: SVD, M44, Vector, AK B: MK20, M60, MP5, M16, M249 C: RPK, 93R D: M9, M1911, Deagle, Magnum, M870 F: M4, AA12, Double barrel. The MP7, P90, ACR, And snipers need nerfs imo. Snipers need WAY more flinch when shot, or someway to punish them for missing. The MP7 is just objectively the best gun in the game. It beats ever gun in every category, P90 is close behind and only beats the MP7 in terms of TS potential. The M4 is genuinely one of the worst guns in the game. I have it level 100 now and since switching to basically any other gun in the game, it shows how terrible it is. An M4 built entirely for a specific purpose is still worse in everyway when compared to every SMG and rifle.
the hit detection is quite bad, you can sometimes shoot someone 7 times and they 2 tap you and another thing is I can't tell if i've been domed either theres no headshot thing in the killfeed
I am enjoying my time so far, just some (for me) high sens sniping. My main concern is that the game does nothing new enough to stick, I fear it will die within months. Would love to be proven wrong tho.
I was testing the hit reg but it feels like it's an accuracy problem with guns at longer ranges, I put all accuracy attachments on my ak and I was beaming people long range because of it. It feels very battlefield like because you definitely cannot just spray others without missing on long range without recoil or accuracy control.
I really liked the game. Not sold on the abilities though. Shields are lame af, invisibility and wallhack is retarded. Pyroman abilities are super cringe aswell. Only healer feels somewhat ok, but ultimate just gives you 2 hp bars... I don't know that that premium faction abilities do, and honestly haven't seen them once in-game after 10 hours, but I hope it's not at the level of lameness and cringe as invisibility or shields. UI for sure is ugly. When I first booted it up I was shocked, it looks either outdated by a whole decade or like it's a budget indie game. But it's whatever, as long as gameplay oriented things are fine UI is digestible.
I kinda wish they had taken a direction in terms of art style. Maybe something unique. I know ur channel is basically 'sweaty FPS' but yeah..... It's not a gameplay issue obviously, but the presentation feels like generic slop. Kinda reminds me of the Finals. It makes these games feel kinda soulless. I hate how we went from things like Battlefield or CS, where each team is representing a faction/allegience - and visibly & thematically so - to these modern games where each player model is a generic, diverse, interchangable NPC (that will later be replaced with garish skins from the shop). It's like this safe, corpo approved, inoffensive 'yes skins will be our main source of income' vibe I get. If u look at iconic FPS games over the decades and their styles to this it's just sad. I think it really hurts the ability of these games to appeal to new players. Idk maybe i'm way off and it's just me.... Having said all that though, I do really hope this game can be a success.
