Day 3 and the xbox and microsoft news does not stop. After shutting down Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, Sarah Bond went on bloomberg to talk about everything in an interview. Safe to say it did not help much.
Not to mention the continued amount of backlash online social media like twitter and tiktok.
Now it also seems that Call fo Duty will be on game pass even though its been proven that game pass is not profitable. Finally it looks like xbox has destroyed any possible future with game studios in Japan. Is xbox gaming dead?

Thanks for pointing out how disastrous the timing of the Tango shutdown was in relation to those Japanese holidays. It's as if they shutdown a western studio right on Christmas... not a good look indeed!

Me: “Well I’m glad I stuck with PlayStation. Their Single Player games are big hits! Online multiplayer games are sh*t!”
I really don’t understand this mindset out of touch Execs have that SP games are dead. The best games I’ve played in the past 10 years were nearly all SP games (or mostly SP like Baldur’s Gate 3)

Their biggest sellers are Single Player story driven games like God of War, The Last of Us Parts I & II, Uncharted series, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man and so on
Xbox Game Pass was a terrible mistake. Started with good intentions, but the games industry does work like tv and film. There’s not enough content to fill the pipeline, so people will constantly be unsubscribing.
Yeah, especially with putting AAA games date and day on it. I leads to people subscribing just to play the newly released AAA game for a low price, play it for a few weeks or months, then unsubscribe again. This makes it all completely unsustainable.

Oh Ninja Theory is absolutely gone. Tameem has already left the studio, Because Xbots don't buy games it will sell zero copies. They don't have years to wait on WelfarePass content. Double fine is probably after Ninja Theory and, Obsidian is probably after that because Avowed doesn't look great, The Outer Worlds wasn't great. The only thing that MIGHT keep Obsidian around is MAYBE they get put onto Fallout because they're not going to wait 14 years for Bugthesda to pump out Elder Scrolls and Fallout

NO it isn't Jesus FN Christ im so tired of Xbots and their garbage whataboutism. Sony a few months ago laid off about 900 people. Microsoft laid off 1,500 the morning after they had a private $500,000 Sting concert for their exes, then a few weeks later they laid off another 1,900 people, now they've laid off around 2000 people. That is around 5,400 in the span of a few months. 900 is not equal to, almost or more than 5,400.
Your job is not your friend, your job is not obligated to keep you working until YOU decide to leave them. WelfarePass is not profitable or sustainable. People with brains and common sense have been saying that, while Xbots cheered on MS trying to buy up the industry. Phildo Sphincter himself has said that WelfarePass was not sustainable. They didn't buy Zenimax and Activision for the studios. They bought them for the IPs, so they could make them, so they could publish them on EVERY platform under Microsoft Games Studios.
They're not going to lose millions of dollars, because thanks to WelfarePass , Xbots don't buy games. HiFi Rush didn't SELL 3 million copies. 3 million people downloaded it from WelfarePass. Because Xbots don't buy games. Unless you make games fast and dirty for WelfarePass your getting closed. Sony and Nintendo don't have problems making compelling software that sells millions upon millions in days. Just Microsoft because Xbots don't buy games. Even Helen Keller could see they were going to go 3rd party publishing because Xbots don't buy games. Its called REALITY, IF Xbots are lucky they might get a streaming box but they're clearly done with expensive Xbox hardware, because Xbox has NEVER made Microsoft a penny. Their 3 Trillion comes from Windows, Office and other business products
