Only the real ones know the Playstation disc, was also the full game soundtrack that could be played in CD players back in the days..Another reason why Wu Tang is one of the best to ever do it.
My brothers and I played this religiously as kids (along with Tekken lol) - I don't think another music group could ever do something like this again and have it actually be good!
I remember this game at my godmother's house, it was one of my first exposures to M-rated games as a kid as well as the Wu-Tang Clan. Game hasn't aged well but the soundtrack was cool. Fun Fact: This game was made with the engine for the unreleased game, Thrill Kill. The same engine would later be used for the X-Men Mutant Academy series and Rock'em Sock'em Robots on PS1.
i got that game in 5th grade from a ninth grader. i became a wu-tang fan and hip-hop listener ever since, that vibe always stayed with me for some reason. it resonated with me as a 5th grade where you had to hide in grimey places that look like that game to smoke and drink. in the 5th grade you also often fought, some times you had a fist fight before the sun even came up
I miss this game! Such a great title that sadly never got the attention or serious love that is deserved! Never the less, it's nice to see so many people in the comments who have appreciation and good memories from playing this late 90s gem.
56:42 "Can it be all so simple?" y'all might recognize the inscription on the wall, in the film "Black and White, 1999" to which Method Man replied "no it can't"
One of my favorite PS1 games. This was my first ever M rated game in experience, 1st game I played on the system, and me and my father love the Wu-Tang rappers (RIP Ol Dirty Bastard). We used to play this all the time back in the day. I'm an expert at Deck, but I never could reach the very end. I'm stuck at 34 Chambers...! Seeing what happens when you reach 35 C finally answered my long question for 18 years. Such a shame what happened to Master Xin... :( I love the fact that this game used the same engine of an unreleased AO fighting game: Thrill Kill!
I loved this game as a kid. Hell, still do. Combos and movement like Tekken 3 (Stiffer but still felt familiar) and better gore/fatalities than MK4. I wish I still had my physical copy.
I remember always renting this game out every weekend and always had to play without the uncensored code because some fool ripped it out of the manual..Still great memories with game.Wu Tang Forever!
One of the most underrated fighting games of all times. And I am even a metalhead who hates rap. This game was fucking awesome! Needs a remake/remaster
🔥 This is a close 2and to Def Jam Vandetta for me as the best hip hop based fighter. Actually, one of the most underrated fighting games ever. They should remaster this...🤔
i came here to figure out the final boss, I played this game non stop when I was younger like 20 years ago. Could never figure out the final boss. Like LEGIT OP
I bought this game in a five dolar bin at Walmart back in the day. Me and my roomates spent a hole summer drinking natie light playing the game . In our old dilapidated house in a bad part of town but the rent was cheep . Best couple years of my life. No money going to school dead end jobs to make ends meat. Wouldn't chage that time of my life for nothing
I beat this game, back in tha day, with all the characters. I use meth, deck, ugod, gza, odb, rza, but reakone is my favorite. I use all these guys first because their hard to use. But reakone is the man on this game, if you get into him. You, the guy who is playing the game, you can use X,O, and triangle to do other kill moves also.
I Like This Game That's My Favorite In Back The Day WU - TANG SHALION STYLE 1999 RZA GZA Method Man Raekwon U God Inpeseck Deck Ghostfacekillah Masta Killa

i got this on a copy whilst on holiday in malaysia when i was 13!?? There was a shop in this mall that had all playstation 1 games that were copies 🤣 and me having a chipped ps1 back then, was in my element 👌 lol... The games in the store where like 30 or 40 pence each (£0.40)... i had to buy a separate suitcase just to fit the games in so i could bring them home 🤦🏽🤣... nostalgiaa
I had a pirate copy of this game after having my ps1 'chipped' as it was known as. There was a few of their songs on it so the game doubled up as a cd/album.

i remember how i bought this in germany and the finishers were completely cut out, when the game freezes and the camera starts spinning is where the fight was over 😅
I seriously think that this game deserves a reboot.
A sequel..
everybody says that about every other game
Facts for sure, i remember being a kid playing this. A reboot would seriously bring back that nostalgic feel for fans
😂😂😂😂😂😂
That is the best idea EVER! Seriously, I'm currently playing it and totally holds up even in 2021

Yeah. Fucked us over when ps2 came out though. Would only read it as a music disc, couldn't play the game on ps2.

Trying to do that myself! Want to unlock those Chambers and learn new Fatalities but they want like 12 hit combo's hahaha
You're not alone.

Imagine the HD remake of this 🤩
To me this is a game that never got enough love.
It's not the best game ever, but boy can it be a lot of fun.

Man, U-God's opening verse was badass.
This game was legendary growing up. First introduced M rated game I owned. Brings back memories

Isn't this what Thrill Kill became?
Yes, the engine is said to have been developed for Thrill Kill, and then got recycled into this game since the former was scrapped
Yes. Toned down a little, but yeah.

I hear ya. Most metal heads I knew loved Wu Tang and DMX
GamesMaster Magazine really tore into their games back in the day. One would think it was based on their dislike of the band itself.
Bruh this game was so dope, childhood memories 😭😭😭😭😭
They should make a remastered of it
Fuck yes . I think that is what Def Jam was all about
If they do, the controls need to be better. Other than that, loved it.
It would be perfect timing with the Wu Tang Saga on Hulu

Hey don't forget Def jam fight for NY.

The precursor to Def Jam Vendetta, one of the greatest games of all time.
More like Fight for NY, as that game is more violent.
