As an Astros fan I still believe 2019’was a co AL Cy Young year between Verlander and Cole. As a retail associate ran into him had a small conversation I won’t forget. I still love Cole to this day even if he’s in a Yankees uniform. Shows nothing but class.

Gerrit Cole handled himself very professionally and was humble and respectful to NYC , Yankees, us fans and everything else he spoke about including New York City. He was a class act, especially to Derek Jeter. He’s lived up to the expectations, hype and bill. He spoke great . Very humble.
If I had a private moment with him about the city- he would probably say, City is a mess, subway system is not safe, stores , business and restaurants are closed and out of business, homeless is everywhere and crime is sky high but he handled himself professionally in front of the camera. Just get us #28. He’s lived up to being a true ACE!
