it would have been incredible. Its crazy how once he joined the reds he just started getting injured year after year. With the Mariners he was already a hall of famer after 10 years.
I always love saying he's the Modern Eras Mickey Mantle, because both truly had a similar path, if they would've stayed healthy both could arguably have the title for the GOAT
Junior is my all time favorite player hands down! For over thirty years I’ve dreamed to be able to sit and talk baseball with him like this, or play catch with him. I know to some of you it may sound silly but this man saved my life sometimes. Being an awkwardly shy and introverted young kid and teenager, school was tough for me socially. I became very depressed and had thoughts of suicide. And crazy enough, watching Junior play, going to his games sometimes and seeing how well he was doing made me so happy watching the game. It gave me something to look forward to and helped me through some very dark times. I know many will not read this, and Junior will never see this, but George Kenneth Griffey Junior, thank you so much for the wonderful memories of watching you play! You were simply amazing and I can’t state this enough how much you mean to me. Perhaps to you it was just a job, just baseball. But to me it meant so much more. Thank you so much for everything you did, and for everything that you are today. God bless 😊
They just created a great idea retired players do a homerun derby would be great to see myb it’s just a waste cuz I wouldn’t watch it but still good idea
Choosing to ignore all the all star stuff this week due a lack of Reds players. There should be a lot more Reds players on the NL team. 2nd best team in the NL and just one all star? What a joke. Every team should have at least 1 player and no more than 5 players featured in the all star game.
I agree I was never fan of 5 players from one team there were so many Texas rangers players. At one point they had half the redsox team and half the whitesox team. Baseball has so many stars like Elly de la Cruz should’ve been there
bro griffey owned the 90s but cmon Pujols owned the 2000s. From 2001-2010 he was just insane. A guaranteed .300 30hr 100rbi 100runs .400 OBP 1.000 OPS minimum.
@@zoatengtv5644 can’t lie with numbers. Pujols once he joined the angels wasn’t the same either but his final numbers eclipses Griffey so of course in my opinion Pujols was the better player.
@breadandcircuses8127 what was your team cuz andruw jones was my arch nemesis too haha. I would go to games and he would hit homeruns every time if not make the best diving catches he would steal doubles all the damn time
@breadandcircuses8127Griffey was actually voted player of 1990s by the media/players and named to the all century team yes injuries derailed him but he was the best player from 1990-1999 period and in my opinion 1994 Griffey is the best version of a player ever
Love seeing Griffey Jr around the game!!!! Imagine his numbers if he wouldn't have gotten hurt so much in his 30's!!! One of the Greatest ever!

Ken Griffey Jr., once a Mariner, ALWAYS A MARINER!!!!
They really should have a fun home run derby for past players.....that would be fuckin awesome.
And have an ambulance ready on the side.

So much greatness in one shot
That was great. I’ve never seen him like that before and loved it.
How great is this. ⚾🇺🇲🙏
Man, This was GREAT!
Legends..
That would be a great idea. Have a old timer home run derby. Griffey vs pujols
I’m sure they have that swing to hit it out still
Junior, one of my favorites and an all time great!!!
I love that Jr has a name for his bat. 😄
They just created a great idea retired players do a homerun derby would be great to see myb it’s just a waste cuz I wouldn’t watch it but still good idea
Do a retired HR Derby everyone mic’d up it’ll be must watch and filled with laughters
Sure would love to see in involved in Paintball again. Paintball misses you Jr.
These guys must have all been amazing teammates. Goat teammates lol
He is HILARIOUS!
LEGENDS
Lucille is a great name for Ken's bat!!!!!
Straight cut Griffey off. Didn't let him finish what he was saying at the beginning of the video.
Oh I wish Joe Morgan was commentary on mlb the show
Jr almost unrecognizable
love this 🤣🤣🤣
I hope Ichiro is that the
All-Star game!

Bring the all star game back to atlanta.

Lucille is thirsty! She is a vampire bat!
Pardee Should've Made Griffey An Vampire On His 1993 Card Design

It’s hard to be a better player than Griffey. But pujols have a shout

Pujols was definitely better than griffey. Griffey ended up in the same division as pujols and didn’t do much
Pujols, and easily. Griffey’s glove adds value, but Albert was probably 20 percent better with the bat.
Would've been the best player in MLB history if not for injuries.
@breadandcircuses8127I agree but who would you say was better than griffey in his time ? Barry bonds maybe ?

Could you imagine if he stretched?!? 😮😮😮
They should have asked him why he is pimping the Queen of Beers.
What does this mean?
Jr.'s injury history makes a lot more sense now that I know he didnt stretch lmao
