0:41 am I the only one who thinks the former Queen Beatrix looks stunning? Something so confident and powerful in her walking. I hope to be iconic like her when I'm in my 70s/80s lol
mimi lol ik! She's always seemed that way... Somewhat self-secure/self-content, even in videos of her as a much younger Queen she always walked with a certain level of what i'd call 'Beatriliciousness'! Lol. Her unique outifts that ONLY she could ever pull off, her huge hairdo which takes her facial features well and her huge smiles lol, people say she's ugly but i actually find her rather beautiful in her own right and veryyy original. And in photos of her as a young princess and Queen especially, she was quite charming. She gave me those western movies kinda vibes of the beautiful ladies in huge feathered-coats with big cheeks, tiny red lips and a fancy curled hairdo, kinda like etta james in her youth or the actress who played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz.
Yes and she has a more lively smile than Queen Elizabeth

No, that;s not right. But house Hannover is of course one of their best friends in history. There;s is more "prussian" bred into house of orange during 18th century ( Also reason why Der Kaiser fled to Holland after WWI, wich was neutral and family as well )

It's not that The Nethrlands isnot respected, it's just that after so many years of fighting the Hollanders or the Dutch it's become the common perception, passed down from generation to generation.

Calm down, every Englisch speaking country says Holland in stead of "The Netherlands". It's our country's former name for al lot of century's for godsake. And even the National tourism campaign put us out as "Go visit Holland". It's also easyer to remember then the Netherlands.
It's the same that a lot of people calling Great-Britain England while the actual name's are Scotland, England, Wales and North-Ireland.
Okay, let's call it Frisia again, that was the former name of Holland!!!!

The first Dutch king of the house Oranje Nassau abdicated in 1840, so did Queen Wilhelmina in 1948 and Queen Juliana in 1980. So there is a history of abdicating in old age. Different traditions.

It's not the same thing. British refers to people of the UK e.g people from England, Scotland, Wales and N.ireland collectively. English refers to people only from England. I didnt mean to seem rude but I'm from another part of the UK outside England and I don't like how the queen of the UK is referred commonly as the "English queen" or the "queen of England". I hope you can understand that I like us to be considered under a collective British identity rather than the queen is English and doesn't belong to the other nations. I'm not anti-English though!

they're both head of state, therefore they can't bow to each other. Prince Charles would bow to Willem Alexander.
It`s also called ``courteseing`` syleriam. Kings, Queens, Emperors, Kaisers and Czars don`t courtesy to each other. The Dutch king and queen and queen Elizabeth kiss each each other. On the other hand (the now late) Prince Phillip would have to ``bow`` to Queens and Kings of other nations as well as to his own wife on official occasions. That is the protocol

Have you ever seen a British Coronation? The King/Queen swears before God to serve the country until he/she dies. Also, Prince William will never become King before Prince Charles.That is tradition. Lastly, The British monarchy has never been more popular and does not need to be rescued at all. Thanks for your concern though.

Also, Her Majesty cannot just abdicated at her own will like other monarchies. She is Queen of 15 other countries in addition to the UK. In order for her to abdicate, it would require the permission of the parliaments of ALL 16 of her Realms.

Just remember that the Netherlands is the little Northsea-coast-neighbour of the UK above Belgium, and Denmark is a bit further northeast between Germany and the rest of Scandinavia (which is technically also a Northsea-coast-neighbour of the UK, lol, though I woulnd't try to swim that distance).
Genetically we Northwestern Europeans are pretty much all the same though, thanks to the Vikings/Longobards/Saxons.
