This video was really cool, i got a few questions after trying it out though 1. How does depth limit on vox hide work?, like ill change the number and it just kind of goes as deep as it wants, i tired really hard to figure it out. Like it doesn't seem like its a global setting because ill have it set to 0.1 then go to another hide and its like 10 times deeper. Does it still take into account the depth of parts that are hidden already? like i have no idea its like magic or something. 2. When I use split i don't get any nice panel lines, it does nothing but split the piece into another like sub object. There is a nice clean cut there but the edges aren't like beveled like they are in your video they aren't defined at all. Some help you be greatly appreciated, Thanks I'm using 3d coat 4.9
1. Depth limit is fucked up. It's really hard to deal with it usually starts with the first point of contact but I really don't like as it is quite unpredictable. 2. Hm, check the voxel border at the top by default its 2.500 should be 0. Otherwise, its about the voxel density and I also run Smooth command all the time on the mesh. I assigned an F12 hotkey to smooth the model when I fell like it.
The voxhide workflow looks awesome for making machines! Thank you so much for sharing!
yup and I have a whole big tutorial on going pretty deep into vehicle design here - gumroad.com/tenitsky?sort=newest#QtgqzJ :)
@@AntonTenitsky as soon as I get through the mech tutorial! I just bought the amateur license on a steam sale.
more like this for 2021 please!
we'll see :)
that was really cool! thanks for these 3dcoat videos
thank you for watching!
Спасибо,Антон! Как раз то, что нужно!
пожалуйста :)
Beautiful tutorial!

how can I not cut through the whole object with VoxHide? thank you
ah, just found out from looking harder, there is a depth limit
Hi Keth, just wanted to answer this :) yeah it is the depth limit in "E" panel
@@AntonTenitsky thanks anyway :)
are you used a wacom for this or just a ordinary mouse ?
Hi Mim, i was using wacom CTH-480 a small A5
А клиренс не маловат для броневика?
наверное маловат :) я сейчас глянул в том фотопаке броневичок был повыше
Антон,помедленнее, я записываю)
Да, переборщил :) будет медленнее.в будущем
Usually enjoy your videos very much. But this tutorial was horrible. Too much movement and speed made it too hard to follow...
Hi Ken, thank you for your feedback! I will make sure to keep at a slower pace in the future.
the original idea was to make the whole video shorter but I wasn't sure if it was too much now i know :)
you do know you can slow the video down if he's too fast for you?!?!?
