    I'm an Indonesian. I support this event. And I support the preservation of nature and forest dwelling animals

      The Indo-Malayan rainforests have largely been wiped out. Exploitation of what little remains of these once-great forests needs to be halted immediately, development projects that are going on inside them need to be canceled or soon the jungle in this part of the world will be only a memory.
      The Kinabatangan River and its surrounding forests therefore need to be declared a top priority conservation area. All of it. From the mountains all the way to the Sulu Sea. The rest of Sabah is mostly deforested anyway so we may as well keep this area natural. The animals that live there need the room too. .

    Malaysia needs to declare this area a protected zone and restrict development and forest clearance. If not it will be destroyed.

    The Sunbear and the Clouded Leopard must be preserved. They are gifts to Sabah rainforest. There is nothing like them..Both are the smallest species and very unique. Adorable and cute though they might bite us.

    Amazing river, habitats and species, though many tragic stories due to human impact.

    Thank you for this documentry. The opposing notions of preserving wildlife and providing for expanding human populations could be resolved by family planning. Is it beyond possible in Malaysian Borneo?

    Do people that have millions know just how lucky humanity is by having such precious creatures that is on this river? Why not see if palm trees can grow in the Mississippi, United States? I have three acres. I would give it a shot to grow them. If it works then three acres of land can be saved for the endangered animals. The money I would be getting off the palm tree would go to a family that is trying to make a living over there. Of course I will go there to see if those family members are doing what we agreed on.

    Why did they capture the orangutan, if they immediately released him? They were unable to even tag him or approach the cage.

      This comment clearly shows you did not pay attention to this documentary. The trap was not for the orangutan, he accidentally walked into it. Next time pay attention more.

      My understanding is: They wanted to trap the Clouded Leopard but accidentally the Orangutan went in . The large Male Orangutan is not an easy task to tag. They,re fierce and aggresive, they will attack you.

    I feel sorry for the animals, why do you want to disrupt their lives for a picture? How often do you check the cages? I hope no animal ends up in a zoo which are noisy because of the number of people, small cement enclosures to allow the people to see them! What type of life is that?

    • @michaelholmes8848
      @michaelholmes8848 2 года назад +4

      They said the cages are checked daily and what these people are doing is in the aid of conservation.

      Before jumping to conclusion listen carefully. He is trying as much as he can to spread awareness that these animals need to be protected/preserved. Itoi and Cede are both Conservationist.

    Why the cage? It seemed staged and I felt very sorry for the orangutan. I don't agree with that method of trapping animals just to get some pictures!
