I thought the same thing about Giovanni’s team in FireRed and LeafGreen. Not having Rhydon felt weird, and I think it would’ve been cool if he had Persian. I also liked your suggestions to give Lt. Surge Electabuzz and to give Blaine Magmar.
@DawnLong-s3k I did consider that. I initially wrote Natu off since Will uses Xatu as his ace and I thought Natu was a lot weaker than it actually is, but it learning Night Shade to deal 13 points of consistent damage would be good at that point in the game. I also would make Will's ace not a Xatu if I had my way, so I definitely could see Natu as a good ace for Faulkner. Thank you for the input.
@@DawnLong-s3k Spiritomb works well on Cynthia's team, but Fantina could totally have one if she didn't. I think she could also get away with Dusknoir if she were the 7th or 8th gym, but I think her team is a very appropriate challenge for where she is in the game.
In Pokémon Black and White 2, I personally think that Burgh, Elesa, and Skyla should've retired as Gym Leaders and got replaced by someone else. Also, I would have Driftveil's type remain the same, but Clay passed the baton to his successor. Castelia City Lee (Rock type) Boldore Lv. 23 Shuckle Lv. 24 Archen Lv. 25 I would give him Archeops, but that might be a little too powerful. Anville Town Mira (Grass type) Whimsicott Lv. 29 Tangela Lv. 30 Lilligant Lv. 31 Driftveil City Claudia (Ground type) Claydol Lv. 35 Stunfisk Lv. 35 Seismitoad Lv. 36 Both Claydol and Seismitoad are at the level where they are legit. Lentimas Town Blaze (Fire type) Camerupt Lv. 39 Heatmor Lv. 41 Darmanitan Lv. 42 Darmanitan got no love in Gen 5. In this new town, a Fire type Gym Leader would be a perfect fit.
@DawnLong-s3k I do agree that BW2 should have shook things up a bit more. I'm more annoyed with the E4 being near identical outside of I think 2 changes to their teams in total. I considered making Burg and/or Clay E4 members since there are a lot really good Bug and Ground types in the region and having a new Fire and Grass Gym Leader to replace them. I still might do something like that when it's all said and done.
@@DawnLong-s3k My thoughts exactly. I couldn't say he had a "bad team" since he got those Pokemon from the mine he works at so it works for his thene, but it definitely is not what I would have given him.

It would make sense for Natu to be Faulkner's ace. It can be found just west of Violet. Also, Natu isn't too OP like Murkrow.

I had just realized that Fantina could technically get away with using a Spiritomb.

Castelia City
Lee (Rock type)
Boldore Lv. 23

Tangela Lv. 30
Lilligant Lv. 31
Driftveil City
Claudia (Ground type)
Claydol Lv. 35

Lentimas Town
Blaze (Fire type)
Camerupt Lv. 39

Darmanitan got no love in Gen 5. In this new town, a Fire type Gym Leader would be a perfect fit.
Edit: Better team for Lee
Shuckle Lv. 23
Archen Lv. 24
Gigalith Lv. 25

I feel as if Roark is a copy of Brock. They both use Geodude and Onix.
