Its cause Smash uses a lot of "frame interpolation" in which a computer or in this case the Switch is given certain keyframes of an animation and told to animate between them. It sometimes works well like with Dedede but it obviously will never match up to full hand animation but when you have to animate 70+ characters cutting corners was probably necessary to get the game out in time.
Wario is a good guy. Not only does he enthusiasticly clap, but he actually cheers for the person who defeated him.

Mainly cuz losing equals permanent death in older games and classic mode. Think about how many of their dear allies have died due to the player's poor choices, them losing must have given them that flashback and disappointment towards their player.

So Yeah the Monado sucked the ether out of his parents and the rest of the expedition team he was with when he was about 5 years old and Dickson found an unconscious Shulk next to the Monado and a bunch of dead bodies. It’s one of the reasons why his job as a weapons scientist and as a scientist in general is to study the Monado because he clearly had a special connection with it and most importantly it never tried to kill or hurt him like with Dunban. Also I’m ironically a Shulk and Robin main.

I’d have to disagree on Chrom. If we analyze his look and take into account his personality, I’d say he’s rather sincerely clapping, or it at least started that way, but at some point he completely zoned out, reflecting on the battle and trying to work out what he could’ve done better, where he’s lacking and what to improve on.
