    Enter Padmé
    Padmé
Mine Anakin, I have been sore afraid,
Yes seeing thee here, all my fear’s eras’d.
    Anakin
‘‘Twas thy ship landed here, O, praise the day.
Yet wherefore art thou here in this dark place?
    Padmé
For thee alone my deep concern hath swell’d.
‘Twas Obi-Wan-he spoke a fearful word.
    Anakin
What hath he said to thee? I prithee, tell.
    Padmé
He said unto the dark side thou hast turn’d,
And that thou didst slay younglings in the temple.
    Anakin
‘Tis plain that Obi-Wan doth speak these lies
To sway thee from my love most broad and ample.
    Padmé
He cares for us-by thee hath he been priz’d.
    Anakin
“For us”-how doth he know that we are us?
    Padmé
He hath found out the secret of our love.
‘Tis well, fear not, he shall not be unjust.
    He fain would help thee.
    Anakin
    -Ha! Aye, there’s the rub.
    Padmé
O, Anakin, say wherefore speak’st thou so?
Know’st thou thy love is all that I desire?
    Anakin
Yet shall it save thee? Nay, not love alone,
But only these strong, newfound pow’rs of mine.
    Padmé
What price, say, wouldst thou pay to have this pow’r?
Thou art a noble man-turn not to darkness.
    Anakin
Thou’lt not die, as my mother was devour’d.
The power Palpatine gives to harness
Is far beyond all other Jedi Knights.
I do it all for thee, for thy protection.
    Padmé
O, fly with me, my love, fly in a trice.
Escape! Let not our child grow up neglected.
Leave all behind and flee while still we may.
    Anakin
Yet do thine eyes not see with vision clear?
We do not need to run-be not dismay’d.
I’ve brought the peace th’Republic so reveres.
Above the chancellor my pow’r doth rise.
Together, we shall rule the galaxy-
Aye, thou and I, my sweet. This thought abides:
What we desire, thus shall we make indeed.
    Padmé
What mine ears hear, my mind cannot believe:
Thy words have neither rhyme nor reason, nay.
Aye, Obi-Wan has it: thou art reliev’d
Of ev’ry sense, transform’d by dark thoughts insane.
    Anakin
I’d hear no more of Obi-Wan tonight.
The Jedi turn’d from me; do not the same.
    Padmé
Who is this who doth speak with tongue like knife?
I tell thee truly, I know not thy name.
    Mine heart is broken by thine alteration;
This path thou follow’st is not mine to walk.
    Anakin
‘Tis due to Obi-Wan I am forsaken?
    Padmé
‘Tis that within thine heart thou hast unlock’d-
What thou hast done and further plann’st to do.
I prithee stop this now, and come thou back.
    I love thee still.
    Enter Obi-Wan
    Anakin
    -Thou, liar, shalt die soon:
Thou didst bring him to kill me-‘tis a fact!
[Anakin begins to choke Padmé using the Force]
    Obi-Wan
    Release her, Anakin-indeed, at once!
[Anakin releases Padmé, who falls aside, unconscious.]

True. The plot of Star Wars is heavily inspired by Arthurian legend. Lancelot (Anakin) is one of the greatest knights (Jedi) to have ever lived and destined to find the Holy Grail (bring balance to the Force). But his character flaws and his illicit, destructive love for Queen Guinevere (Padmé) leads him astray and he is unable to complete his quest. Manipulated by Mordred (Palpatine), his desire to save Guinevere (Padmé) leads him to betray King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table (the Jedi Order) and he massacres many of his former friends and allies, leading to the eventual destruction of their order at the hands of Mordred (Palpatine), who usurps the throne. Yet through his doomed love he conceives a son, Galahad (Luke), who surpasses his father and becomes the perfect embodiment of knightly virtue (the Jedi Way). Young Galahad (Luke) is then able to redeem his father and find the Holy Grail (bring balance to the Force).
Aside from Galahad, with the sequels Luke's character arc also has gained a strong paralel in King Arthur himself, with both being the son of a father who was prophesied to be "the chosen one" but who failed and turned evil, both defeating the big evil threat (the foreign invaders in Arthur's case, the Empire in Luke's) and fulfilling their father's prophecy, both building up a glorious new kingdom (or Jedi Order in Luke's case), only for it to be destroyed by the betrayal of their nephew (Mordred/Kylo Ren). Devastated with this betrayal, Arthur/Luke retreats into isolation and in his absence evil flourished once more. Finally, Bedevere/Rey is able to persuade Arthur/Luke to return and face Mordred/Kylo Ren in a final confrontation, after which Arthur/Luke perishes.
There are differences between Star Wars and King Arthur (and it also depends on which version of the Arthurian legend you go by), but the similarity in themes and characters is pretty obvious.

Star Wars, the Jedi Order especially is based on Buddhist principles and the Japanese Samurai. George Lucas originally wanted a Japanese actor to play Obi-Wan in A New Hope but he refused citing cultural appropriation…

When you get here when there's 8 hours to go
    [ Edit 1 ]
I just wanna talk about how amazing this channel is, hahah. Waiting here for 8hrs+ is worth it on this channel. All the time and effort Samuel Kim probably puts into every single premiere. Kevin Kiner, John Williams, and Samuel Kim are by FAR the best music-makers on the earth right now, I can tell. I decided to jump on the computer at 3am, and I'm glad I did (5AM right now.) because I got to join this premiere. All the fame this man Samuel Kim deserves is what he earns. Not to mention, the people in the live chat are super nice, and they don't hesitate to make a good reference every now and then. I can't put it into words how happy I am that Starwars exists- and how happy I am really to have this channel making amazing music like this. Not just Starwars music though. This man has TALENT. Thank you for all the wonderful music!
    [ Edit 2 ]
Also just wanna start a tiny reference maker in the comments. Choose which reference you wish to complete.
    1. Hello There.
    2. Obi Wan told me terrible things.
    3. Always remember I am fear, always remember I am a hunter

ETA: Oh, just after I clicked save on this comment, it segued into Padme's funeral theme as heard over the Revenge of the Sith epilogue. That was truly stunning and masterful and really helps highlight the tragedy. Really, it brought a tear to my eye.
