@@sameyeams Thank you! The William Shakespeare's Star Wars books were an inspiration, but I only had I and IV, and of course there is the popular conception how ye olde englishe is written. And of course, a lot of words made by Shakespeare are still in usage, even if some of them have become obscure. The world felt like it needed to be medievalized, and the word "Sith" is likely a reference to Cat Sidhe, so I used the contrast of christian civilization and pagan nature and mysticism that is all over Arthuriana. Unfortunately I could not make for a substitute for Darth Plagueis and the midichlorians. Too bad the word "Seidhe" turned out to be from Witcher. Oh well. Of course, the first step was to copypaste the original dialogue, and merely to give it light touches. It's easy to do good work with such great source material.
@@tacticalphantom313 Considering that Anakin's sword is actually shorter than Obi-Wan's - who wields his with only a single hand - I don't think that it was intentional.

Era tuo destino portar equilibrio ne la forza, non abbandonarla ne l'oscurità! Anakino: Io ti detesto! Obi-Wan: mi eri fratello! Ti amai come tale!
I speak spanish and since they have common roots I can tell you that definitely I can see the dialogs of the movie in ancient speech. Or I could be lying and you wouldn´t know either.

@thhor *Middle English Old English is more like Beowulf. It’s an entirely different language in itself, and not really something a modern English speaker will understand (unless they’re a scholar, and have learned it for scholarly purposes) Middle English, what people are commenting in, is like late Medieval and Renaissance era King’s English (and therefore the early modern ancestor of modern Queen’s English). It is fairly easy to understand, provided you can get used to speaking and writing in iambic pentameter.
Can we just appreciate that they are perfectly represented Obi-Wan the Defensive Warrior with a shield and Anakin the aggressive Warrior with a Long sword
Honestly I imagined it to be more fitting because, this being medieval times, there obviously wouldnt be robotic prosthetics, so Anakin would in fact be one-handed, and therefore incapable of using a shield.

T’was mine brother, Anakin. For I hath lovest thee.”
Again, I appear to be the nitpicker of early modern English. It should be "not join them" in this case, as the Sith are inherently a plural noun (it is a group), thus thou shouldst use the second person plural (you/they/them) in reference to them, not the second person singular (thou/thy/thee).

Real talk, "Only a Sith deals in such foul treachery" would've been a WAY better replacement for "Only a Sith deals in absolutes," gets the point across of Obi-wan's accusation without the blatant hypocrisy that's so obvious as to be oft-meme'd.

How awesome though, would it be for a Star Wars AU in a medieval-fantasy? Battle of Hoth in some sort of tundra, with weapons like trebuchets and battle rams instead of AT-ATs, the Force being a form of magic channeled by Knights of the light, and Paladins of the dark (Jedi and Sith). The Emperor being some sort of evil wizard, Vader being a scarred warrior wearing the armour to hide all of the injuries given by his original Knight master, etc. Grievous being some sort of resurrected abomination made by Count Dooku...fuck, that would be so god-damn awesome
Not necessarily. Choral music was very closely associated with the church, whereas instrumental music was shunned from the church and relegated to secular music. So, the question is....do Obi-Wan and Anakin count as proper religious mythological figures?

"you hast done that yourself. "
"you shall not take her from me!"
"your spleen and thy lust for power hast already done that. Thou hast allowed this dark lord to twist thy mind, till now thou hast become the most thing thou swore to confound. "
"don't lecture me, obi-wan. I see through the lies of the jedi. I never fear the dark side as thou doth. I hast brought peace, freedom, justice and security to mine new empire. "
"your new empire?"
"don't causes meself dispatch thou. "
"anakin, mine allegiance is to the republic, to democracy!"
"if thou art not with me, then thou art mine foe. "
"only a sith deals 'i absolutes. I shall doth what i might not but. "
"you shall try. "
"Thou hath brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to thine newest Caliphate."
"Thine newest Caliphate?"
"Forbid thee to slay you."
"Dearest Anakin, thy fealty lies with the Vatican, to the Papacy!"
They did have choirs back then. More commonly than now actually, so the singing in the song could still fit I think
Not necessarily. Choral music was very closely associated with the church, whereas instrumental music was shunned from the church and relegated to secular music.
So, the question is....do Obi-Wan and Anakin count as proper religious mythological figures?
@@Reeal15 Who says we can't have both though?
@@KARKATELCESARENVIADODESA-pv4yd New headcanon: Clone Wars-era Obi & Ani but they are "Sir Kenobi" and "Sir Skywalker" and are both medieval crusaders spreading the word of the living force.

These will do a fine addition to my collection
