You... You did it. You explained to me how to find the p-value using this table. After many, many hours and so many videos and guides all which did not tell me that the third number is how you determine the column. I love you, I actually love you right now, we should be friends... With benefits. Those benefits being that you help me with stuff like this and I shower you with praise. I'm crying tears of joy right now, thank you. God bless Alexander.
All of my lessons for school are online and through videos. They never taught me this they just assumed I knew how to use it. Thank you so much. This has been such a big help that I am litterally in tears.
Z-Table is a table that tells you what percentage of values fall below a certain z-score in a standard normal distribution. Z-Table PDF (Online Reading - Download): www.toevolution.com/blog/view/2274759/z-table-pdf-onlne-reding-download
+Granit Mehmeti =NORM for normal curve = .S for standard normal distribution, i.e. has a mean value of zero and a standard deviation of one Z-value is the value number of standard deviations True to give a cumulative probability distribution, instead of a probability density function. a cumulative probability distribution is how most Z tables are normally read if you put in =Norm.S.Dist(1,True) will return a value of .841345 if for instance you know the Z value to 4 decimals, you could put in =Norm.S.Dist(1.0002,True) to return .841393 My version of Excel will return up to 15 decimal places of precision if you change the cell formatting
This was an excellent explanation, however.. I'm getting different numbers than what the video is showing... Im having trouble understanding why does the top left of her table start at .5000 .. The intercetion of z0 and 0 should be zero... the chart in the back of my Stats text book starts at .0 and .0 and gives me a different answer for her z= 1.23
How do I make a z table if I don't have one? One of my homework questions involve a z table, but it doesn't include one. How do I make one if I don't have one available? I know this is a dumb questions.
TLDR: his z-table is backwards His table also shows what is to the right of the z-score not what area the z-score covers. For instance, a SD of 1 should cover 68.26% of the data, so at 1.0 his z-table should read .3413 to reflect that instead of .1587 which reflects the area not covered by z at 1 SD.

Covid was rough wasn't it.
Took exactly 44 seconds into your video to learn what my class couldn't tell me in 20 minutes..
Lol/rip

Ashutosh Shrivastav no.. cause classes aren’t a good style of teaching.. I think it’s time to change
@@thescorpion7288 oh it changed alright...
yep, my professor said the columns represented the probabilities, and the values in the row were x. So, this video was a life saver.
you have the voice of Christina Yang from Greys anatomy!! and thanks for the vid.
I actually hate how my teacher can't explain how simple this is... thanks for the video helped so much
Thank you for this. Watching it in 2021. Still very relevant. Perfectly done.👍👍
Thanks so much for the help! Seemed like rocket science in my stats class at Arizona State, seems like bread and butter now!
Omg I needed this! I spent two days trying to understand and this absolutely broke it down
lmfao me rn
What to do if we get z more than 3...
the table is up to 3.0
what if we get more than
Thanks for the video, forgot how to use the z table, couldn't find a good video in my native language and this helped a lot
Thank you so much. This has been such a big help
Thanks, for making a video that was so easy to understand!!!! It really helped me a lot!!!!!
Best and simple explanation ever. Thank you so much
Thank you Kari you are the best go Stats
simple explanation, straight to the point , thanks
WOW, my stats professor took 3 hours and I still didnt understand. Thank YOU
Lol I'm In the same place lady is awesome
Thank you, you helped me to understand how to select the column.
You got a new subscriber ❤️❤️
Thank you!! You told me exactly what I wanted to know!!
I’m watching this video 5 minutes before my stats exam I hope it’s worth it
Hahaha so long before the actual. I don't need the intro but I commend you Maam for getting into that extra mile.
this was so helpful. I couldn't understand it in my statistics class
If only my profs and TAs could explain this to me
Awesome video sir! Thank you!
Randomly select an Ex, I immediately thought about my ex, I miss her so much, I am sad now
you are free now
Best video I've ever seen
Thanks alot for the help now I finally understand how to use the z table :)
Should we subtract 1 or 0.5 from the tabulated values?
*You started studying the evening before the exam didn't you?!*
You are the best thank your very much
hi mind sharing which z table you are using?
Thank you so much! Such a great help!

Thank you, good explanation.
Thanks. This clarified it!
I kind of forgot to cover if someone had a 3.5 or greater value to find on the table.
This is super easy now! Thank you so much!!!!!
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
thank you awesome explanation
what about a negative Z such as -.88?
2:08 is how to actually use the table.
i'm trying to find the z score for 3.63, but all these tables on google stop at 3.4. So frustrating.
It should be approximately 0.
you might not see this but thank you so much mam
What is partial z table. And how to use it
Thank you so much ❤️💕💖💝❤️
thank you very much i love you
Thanks bunches! I've got it now :-)
Nice video. My question is how do we find a z value upto four decimal places?
+Aaron Machado Use Excel!!!

If you use the function =NORM.S.DIST( Z-Value ,TRUE) you will get the probability for a give Z value to an arbitrary number of decimals
+Fairly Nerdy can you explain the formula
+Granit Mehmeti
=NORM for normal curve
= .S for standard normal distribution, i.e. has a mean value of zero and a standard deviation of one
Z-value is the value number of standard deviations
True to give a cumulative probability distribution, instead of a probability density function. a cumulative probability distribution is how most Z tables are normally read

My version of Excel will return up to 15 decimal places of precision if you change the cell formatting
Sat in a 2 hour long lecture, didn’t understand any of it. 3 minutes, i can finish a 20 problem worksheet in maybe under a half hour now
This was an excellent explanation, however.. I'm getting different numbers than what the video is showing... Im having trouble understanding why does the top left of her table start at .5000 .. great video
thank you mam very clear explanation
Terbaekkkk
Now I get to understand this.
Thaaaaaaanks alot you saved me😍😍😍😍
She has the voice of Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi! :D
Thank you.
How do I make a z table if I don't have one? One of my homework questions involve a z table, but it doesn't include one. How do I make one if I don't have one available? I know this is a dumb questions.
It's a standard table, you can't make it. Search z table pdf
you use the second decimal. oh my god why couldnt my teacher just say that
🙏🙏🙏 very much necessary 👍
Thanks, very explicit :-)
Thank you
Thank you very much - got it !!!!!!
Thank you so much
Thanks
so helpful!!!
thank you!!!!
Z value is to the left not right

it starts at 2:12
Unless you want some context, for which the first two minutes work quite a bit better than my professor did :p
I hate this deg on chart! I would try the left and right chart numbers and only half would be correct. Some of those numbers are BS
Thank you!
just like alll the other videos on this subject, not good
I think you're the one to be blamed :p
thank you
thank you mam
Fucking LOVE YOU!
No values r readable no clarity in the video nothing looking then blurred
My table doesn't look like that. Thx for nothing
hey
bump
no entendii
zed
this is not a proper way to teach about the z value , women..first learn how to teach please
Thank you so much
Thank you.
thank you
