Prossional horticulturist always recommend a hole at least twice as wides the container but no deeper and never put stuff in bottom of hole. But if you have a good soil your plants might do okay.
It’s a bit safer. If you plant in the heat of summer it’s more stressful and you’ll need to make sure they get consistent water. We planted them in August of last year and made sure they were well watered.
@@mylifeasnih it depends on if you get moisture or not. If you get rain/snow than I would think not so much but if you are in a dry climate then yes. Best way if unsure is to check the soil a few inches deep. If it's dry, water.
They’re doing great. We did a one year update video a couple weeks ago where I talk about care, maintenance etc. you should check it out if you like. They’re such beautiful evergreens.
It looks so pretty! All lined up in a row - this will make a beautiful privacy screen. Much better than the chain link fench.
Thank you. I completely agree with you and the quotes for privacy fences were outrageous.
Looks very nice! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching! Hope you’re enjoying the videos.
Mo finally doing some work lol.Another very informative video ❤
Couldn’t do it without him. Thanks so much.
I love it!

You’re right. I always plant high too
Hey! The video was super helpful 😊 How are they doing now?
Thank you. They’re doing well. Starting to put on size.
Also you recommend waiting for fall to plant them?

@@dirtanddishjust planted 3! Sorry to bother you, but do you know if they need to be watered during winter as well?

@@dirtanddish thank you!!
Beautiful hedge but 2ft from the fence is not far enough. You may need to prune if it bothers your neighbor.
They grow up to 4ft wide at maturity, that’s 2ft from the center of the trunk on all sides so it shouldn’t interfere with the fence.
Hi I just planted 18 arborvitaes that are the same size as yours. How are your arborvitae’s doing?

@@dirtanddish I def will. Thank you!
❤💯♥️💯
Thank you
Nice.
When they grow you’ll have a hedge in about 50 years. 😂
They grow much faster than that
