I like the texture of the Leyland Cypress but have been continuing searching for just the right evergreen. The Golden Hinokia is it. Its really beautiful and I love the Golden color. I want to plant them across the road edge of our property interspersed with White Spirea (Bridal Wreath) and Hot Pink Weigela. What do you think? White or Hot pink? You made me laugh again today from the git go. I'm glad you are good with a bit of levity. It makes things much more fun. Love it when you crack up and keep going. I've not watched the video all the way through but a good idea to mention that while it's good to enjoy privacy in your garden, burglars like it as well as it hides them from prying eyes who may see them trying to break in allowing them to take their time. Here in the UK we had an advertising campaign on this a few years ago reminding people on how dangerous this can be.

I planted fruit trees on the edge of my property on 3 sides. My back yard is buttes up to a state preserve. The front and 2 sides are lined with various different fruit trees all 8’ appart. The only reason it works is because I trained them all to an espalier form. So the bottoms cordon is 3’ high and when they’re full of fruit and wood they stand a good 6-8’ high and give plenty privacy

One you didn't mention that is an amazingly fast grower is the Murray Cypress, a close cousin to the Leyland, but a lot more disease resistant. We planted a row of them when they were between 12-18 inches tall, and they are now, without exaggeration, about 30 feet tall only after eight years of being planted. A beautiful conical evergreen that the birds love as well for sitting in.

The Emerald Green Arborvitae seems to be the perfect choice!
Can any of these be left in pots for years so they can be moved around if necessary?
Also, another video suggested bamboo trees as privacy (which can be left in containers). Would you suggest this for Ontario climate? Sorry, I don't know the zone we're in.

Please help us!! We live in far NE Oklahoma, closest town is Langley. We have 5 acres of heavy clay. There's no way we can amend all of our soil. We're soggy in the spring, & get seriously hot (in the 100s) earth cracking droughts, all summer to fall. Unfortunately, we can't irrigate the areas where I need privacy trees. We are literally on the Zone 6b/7a line. I need something that grows fast, & isn't too expensive because I need 30 or 40 trees. What do you recommend? Thank You so much!
