Story 1: honestly boundaries should have been set after the confession. It was naive to think their friendship could go back the way it was because romantic feelings aren't something you can control. And it's a given her feelings would just grow stronger the more their relationship kept going like that

Idk I kinda get it in the sense that if you suddenly change ur friendship dynamic like that, the girl might think its like a punishment for confessing? So it's for the poster they may have thought the best way to keep the friendship was to keep it the same to avoid awkwardness. But obviously with that specific type of friendship dynamic, it's not the best idea necessarily. But if I was the poster and I decided to do that, I'd probably have stated beforehand like "I don't like you like that but we can still continue being friends and I just wanna make it clear that any flirting is still strictly platonic from my side" and continue reminding her throughout, either subtly or directly

Idk. The guy is definitely a person who likes to mirror the other person and will change themselves in order to match with the other person. I don't know if that is completely wrong (e.g. learning more about K-pop and getting into BTS so that you can share a topic with someone you're interested in is completely fine imo). Also, they never really got into specifics on HOW he changed his entire personality. It was more of spending less time with his friends and matching with his partner. I personally think that the friend in this situation IS the asshole.
First of all, they're doing all of this behind the guy's back. I'm not sure about everyone else, but if my 'friend' started leaking information about my past to people I was interested in (that I didn't want them to know), I wouldn't consider them as a friend any more. Second of all, there is nearly no way they're doing this out of concern for the friend. The friend in this situation seems to harbour some sort of grudge towards their friend and doesn't want him to date other people (they're literally contemplating telling any potential future partner of this friend of his past relationships and exposing them to sabotage their romantic pursuits). Third of all, the person speaking behind their friend's back is acting as if they're virtuous, 'I decided to be the better person' by exposing information about his friend. They show very little guilt for going behind their friend's back or breaching trust in that relationship. If they were a true friend, they would have a talk to their friend why that behaviour is wrong or just have a conversation about it, not go behind their back and ruin any potential romantic relationship they want to build. That is that their own issue to solve. Not something that a 'friend' should decide that they're going to intervene in, instead. There are boundaries in friendship and the friend is 100% crossing the line.
That's just my opinion though. Let me know if you disagree at all.

I am (sadly) the type of person who tends to change with each person I get close to (romantically or not), so to imagine having a friend just spilling all that is kinda of... gross. I don't think he was necessarily changing his personality, but instead getting into new things.
I, for one, use to *hate* Country music, then one of my friends came around and gave me some recommendations. And you know what, they were pretty good. Did I change my personality? No, I just heard/found my taste *in* Country music.

Honestly, I’m so happy that you’re so open-minded and that you look out to both sides of the story, because most if not all, stories *do* have both sides of the story can really shift once you hear from the opposing side. Most AITAH are biased towards the storyteller cuz it was in THIER perspective. And in the end, sometimes there really isn’t an asshole, not every story is black and white, there’s going to be grey areas. This video was super enjoyable please do more 🙇♀️

This sounds like some kind of trauma response or a mental illness and doesn't seem to have been done with bad intent, he should definitely be telling his partners about it but you have NO PLACE to be telling them for him.
