A breakup is WAY more likely to be permanent and is for when you no longer *want* to have that person there and when you KNOW you don't want to be together. Obviously, things happen, and situations change, blah, blah, blah.
Breaks however do hurt more if you're not the one who needed them... saying that while being on one

okay answer for 13:18 personally for me, i think if you're on a break promising to get back together it's to work on yourself or let them work themselves or just to take a break from each other to then be together again and have a stronger relationship. If you get close with someone else like relationship close during that time alone on the break, i think it's like emotionally cheating because you are promising someone else that you're going to get back together with them but possibly giving them false hope, leading them on, if you want to be with this new person.
