Yes I was watching Dan ☺️ I think the pill centre is a great idea, that was unexpected wasn't it! I've pre ordered the purple 14 Pro Max today, just need to confirm the payment at 1pm tomorrow. Ordered watch 8 last night in starlight, pity there wasn't a purple watch! I'm ordering the Airpods 2 Pro tomorrow as well. The outdoor brightness will be a huge benefit, hell of a bump up! It seems a huge improvement this year for the Pro's, I'm really looking forward to using the camera Dan! 👍🏻🙂❤️xx
14 vs 14 pro I returned the pro and got the 14. I went from a 11. Pro model was heavier and bulky with extra camera and I felt the screen size was smaller on the pro. Very happy with the price and quality of the standard 14… just my 2 cents. The battery is amazing..

Which one do you guys think is worth it. I can get the 14 for 15$ per month for 24 months, or I can get the pro for 23$ for 24 months. Meaning I could get the 14 for 336 dollars, or I could get the 14 pro for 552 dollars. Is the difference worth it?
dynamic island is a very clever way to incorporate that pill design lol. im pretty sure apple already has the technology for a full-screen design, it is frustrating to see that their creative process is extremely slowed down just to be able to make more sales throughout the upcoming 2-3 years.
By full-screen design, you mean by hiding the camera and the sensor behind the screen and having a bezeless screen? Then that technology is still not super good to be implemented in smartphones yet, apple is known to hold design features and technologies to actually make them better than the competition, apple may not be the first but they could be the best at it (most of the times).
I disagree. I think Apple has the technology, yes. I don't think they have it running at the standards they put on themselves. For the last decade, Apple has stopped being innovators because they choose to give up that title in order to bring features to their best capacity on their devices. They won't release just because they can. They'll wait until it's better than what their competitors can put out.
@@TheWindsofWonder they technically didn’t stop being “innovators”, they still invents some stuff here and there which can be pretty minor but most of the time when apple does something, other competitors will copy it no matter how good or bad their implementation is. But always apple will have the best implementation when it comes to hardware and software features.
I'm excited for the 14 pro, been waiting to switch to iPhone and was going to miss some Android camera features but that pro-raw is what I wanted. Purple is way nicer than I thought it would be. I love it when companies do something different and the dynamic island is a perfect example of that
Nice 2000 nits display but it will probably sustain that brightness only 1 minute until the phone gets hot and need to throttle down the processor and display brightness to literally unreadable. They didn’t drop a single word on better cooling so this is gonna be cringe probably.
@@anunzie It's just basic physics. There's no display that can convert 100% of energy into light. 60% of it is lost as heat. The brighter the output is, the more energy is converted to heat.
Dynamic island in my opinion is a cleaver way to hide its downside, when u watching or gaming it will feel more obstructive than a notch believe me I use many android equivalent, it is make me feel more annoyed than a notch, so they made a way to feel like it is a feature not a failure in design. Good job Apple
it's a clever way to make people feel like they need the latest new thing. It's objectively worse than the notch because it goes further down into the screen.. PLUS all the notifications and nonsense are now at the top of the phone- meaning I have to use a second hand to address or dismiss them.. which is another inconvenience. But everyone will want it because Apple.

@@bvhgvkjkgybjv well, i mean the pro has features the plus doesn't have- 120hz promotion screen, higher peak brightness for outdoors, slightly better cameras, the always-on display (which does drain more battery, but shouldn't be an issue on the larger pro-max). You might get used to the dynamic island, or you might like it. I just wish it didn't exist to begin with.
I’m still on my 6s and thinking to upgrade… the more I watch video reviews, the more I’m confused which one to choose… it will be a great leap regardless… I feel like a 14 pro would be an overkill but I’m afraid I’d regret getting just a 13 (considering there’s barely any change between 13 to 14)
i think if you are planning to use your new phone as long as you used your 6s.... i would go for the 14 pro model. it will last a lot longer in the long run. specs, camera, battery etc.
I currently have an i phone 8 and am looking to upgrade. My main concern is the size, i have small hands and i like the size of my 8. I am very tempted by the 14 pro but am worried about the size. Update: i got the 14, i went to the store and did not like the weight of the pro but am very happy with the 14 :)
My question is if the 14 pro max is brighter in outdoor sunlight, won’t it dim when the phone gets too warm? It’s a pointless feature if the phone just dims itself like it so often does on my 12 pro max while driving.
Can you turn off the dynamic island? Because it's taking up a big portion of the screen, the actual hardware is muuch smaller and it's separated into a pill+hole
@@samf15h3r pretty good . Battery last all day and response speed is quick. It’s the better version of the iPhone 13 but I never had the 13 which is why I’m pretty satisfied with what I got .
finally a hardware change thats worth upgrading to from the 11 pro to 14 pro not to mention huge improvements to the battery. Eventually we'll get a portless phone which I'm sure apple will include or offer a portable wireless battery charger with which I can see them doing. I don't see the flip version out til 2024/25 possibly lineup
One thing that I don't see anyone focusing on is the 5G vs Superfast 5G on these new phones. With more people traveling and living on the go, I would think Apple would have given some attention to this. Are you able to run some speed tests between the iphone 14 with 5G vs the Pro with Superfast 5G for us?
Dan they do have the newest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 modem inside the iPhone 14 pro series. Just because it wasn’t talked about for 10 minutes in the event doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It’s the worlds newest and fastest 5G modem…… until they release the x70. But due to the September release schedule, they couldn’t acquire it in time for mass production. Apple is always ahead of the curve, even if they are behind a few years on certain features. Once Apple introduces their own RF modems, they will no longer have to rely on Qualcomm and can make more of their component’s in house.
Is it me or is it does that new dynamic island just gonna draw Mayeye now to this giant black space that wasn’t in my phone before. They did a pretty good job of just keeping the screen underneath the knot so I never really notice it ever. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video or anything where the notch has been in my face. Idk let’s see how it works!
I decided to not upgrade this year. My 13 pro max is a beast and although now I wish I would have gotten the 1 TB option instead of the 512gb, it is just to good of phone to upgrade. I did upgrade my first iPhone 11 ( which I still have ) to the iPhone 12 base but I had so many display issues with that phone I traded it in for my 13 pro max because I wanted the best biggest display and beast of battery life. So couldn’t be happier with my 13 pro max. Will wait to see what they do next year and maybe even the year after. Still got apple care plus so that will make my iPhone last longer to. But can’t wait to see your video

How can apple have the self respect to be so shameless as to announce the ever so shitty, useless and nearly non-existent changes coming to the iPhone 14. At this point, keeping in mind that not even THE PROCESSOR SPEED has changed, I would advise people to consider the iPhone 13 when contemplating about the purchase of it and the iPhone 14 much more heavily since the price is lower on the 13 and basically nothing has changed on the newer model. Apple is smart the price of 13 is 999$ vs 1099 for 14 in Canada so people prefer to buy 14 although it’s not much different. If the gap was larger nobody would buy the 14s. I personally am going for 14 promax as only pro versions are considered new🫢

I upgraded from the xs max to 14 pro max! I think it’s definitely worth the upgrade from the SE. I would’ve been fine just going with the 13 pro, I don’t need the best or the fastest anything and I wasn’t jumping over the dynamic pill. Only reason I went with 14 pro is it was actually cheaper with my phone plan. That deep purple is something else 😍
Great video! 14 pro max w/ for me, primarily for photography, videography, gaming & so much more... I do like the onboard storage options and the dynamic island. For now I think that is an exciting & creative use of that space. Looking forward to discovering more to like with this new model.💖😊💖

I’d like to know the difference in photo size in MB 14pro max compared to the 13pro max…. Am I going to need more space compared to last year‘s model?

You should put your phone mount in front of a vent so it gets constant cold air! Makes a huge difference

That 2000 nits does no good when the display can’t sustain that and dims after 30 seconds. (iPhones get hot)

How can apple have the self respect to be so shameless as to announce the ever so shitty, useless and nearly non-existent changes coming to the iPhone 14. At this point, keeping in mind that not even THE PROCESSOR SPEED has changed, I would advise people to consider the iPhone 13 when contemplating about the purchase of it and the iPhone 14 much more heavily since the price is lower on the 13 and basically nothing has changed on the newer model. Shame, Apple, shame.
Apple is smart the price of 13 is 999$ vs 1099 for 14 in Canada so people prefer to buy 14 although it’s not much different. If the gap was larger nobody would buy the 14s. I personally am going for 14 promax as only pro versions are considered new🫢

I upgraded from the xs max to 14 pro max! I think it’s definitely worth the upgrade from the SE. I would’ve been fine just going with the 13 pro, I don’t need the best or the fastest anything and I wasn’t jumping over the dynamic pill. Only reason I went with 14 pro is it was actually cheaper with my phone plan. That deep purple is something else 😍

Is there still an issue if I get 128gb for iPhone 14 Pro Max? Should I get 256gb? Do 512gb unlock something that 256gb is limited to? Hope someone will answer all 3 of my questions 🔥!
