I can only make 8 hours of SOT on my 14 Pro Max. A far cry from the 13 Pro Max.
My camera has been shaking much worse than your clip. i do not know why it does it.

Weird my 14 pro max has had no issues at all. I will say my 13 pro max had way better battery life. Always on display is turned off as well. I get about 15 hours battery 🪫

At times it gets super laggy for a few seconds. And the maximum brightness is much lower than the iphone x plus from my mom. Battery life could be better too. My 20w adapter is charging my iphone super hot as well

Definitely feeling blessed. Got my phone on launch day and have not had any of these issues.
I feel like the best time to buy the new iPhone is in the spring. You get a new colour option and iOS has had time to improve by then. Also you can get delivery next day.

I wouldn’t do it. The quality is terrible. My son has had nothing but issues. With the screen not coming on and the battery is no better than his 12

This is why I never rush to get the new models. When I finally decide to upgrade I like to wait at least 1 month after release so I wouldn’t have to deal with all the issues
All smartphones have their own bugs and glitches. Waited 1year+ for Oneplus 8T, still has a few bugs.

Don't listen or watch these drama for clicks videos. I've had my 14 Pro Max since launch day and even though I'm running iOS 16.1 beta software, I haven't had these issues with my phone. There will always be some issues with some tech when it launches, but you don't hear from the people whose tech is working properly. Which is usually 99.9% of owners.

iOS 16.0.2 has fixed some of the issues you mentioned. Camera flickering on third party apps, black screen on setup, copy and paste issue. This update came out around 12 hours ago
If you Google the most buggy phones over the years, it's Iphones.

I think you make one of the best critical points of the Pro phone than most of the RUclipsrs, who tend to praise the phone and not be critical of the some of the shortcomings of the phone. The Island covers more screen than the old notch when watching a full screen video/image, coupled with the users saying that Pro Max has less battery life than 13 Pro Max, makes me re-consider my order for 14 Pro Max.
💯.. have read all the so called apple loving reviews we all know who they are.. not a single mention of any problems just perfect reviews like always.. such BS reviewers but they fool 10-15 million people.. guess not that hard 2 do anymore with all the sheepy
14 pro max has better battery life and performance, even with the always on display mode, it was just the ios 16 that was causing that iphone 14 pro max issue, now its fixed

Luckily a lot of this seems to be software related. This is why I always wait for the .1 update before jumping into a new version on ANY software (not just Apple).

My iPhone 14 pro max which is less than 7 days with me just hanged! And literally frozen. I had to bring it down to Apple to get it reset

Yes it’s scary. I rarely had this problem with my other iPhone and as my phone is my daily driver to access the internet and solve problems. I can’t do much until an Apple engineer at Apple Store fixed it for me. And kindly chuckled and said oh well yes I heard many complains of ios16 and I’m like darn

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who didnt experience any of the mentioned issues. Even got the 14 pro the day after I ordered it. Battery usage on the other hand can be better, but that must relate to indexing and all that on the background.

most if any of those are software issues, and most of it is already fixed on the public beta ... i didn't encounter those bugs, battery life on mines are really amazing and higher than the 13 PM i got , specially if i left it all day idle next to one of the 14 PM i have , the 13 PM will loose way more battery despite not having the AoD... the issue i got was the copy paste , but it's been fixed since a few days on public beta.. no biggies...
How much battery you got on 14pro. Not the max the pro.
The only issue I had with my 14 was UPS refused to deliver it. When I went to the UPS customer center to pick it up I saw 10+ identical boxes on the shelf.
I had the black screen issue. I was scared but was able to fix it by holding the volume and power button. Glad it’s not only me

I set up my iPhone 14 Pro last night (upgraded from the Xs) and I didn’t experience black screen. The phone did restart I think one or two times but that was not a problem.
I’m also okay with the always- on display. It’s not bright or distracting at night in my bedside table.
I’m getting copy issue but no other significant issues so far. I need to test the camera.
Your phone restarting for itself 1-2 times in less than 1 day is definitely something that you should be not ok with. The fact that you said that you’re ok with that is concerning. The fanboyism is real 😕
@@badkarma8689 Yeah, such a fanboy when they are upgrading from a 5-year-old iPhone and wanting to be content with that decision.
My partner and I got 14 Pro Max 256gb iPhones on launch day and they both “bricked” when transferring from our older iPhones. I got them to work again by holding the power button. The set up continued from the stage before the black screen.
I also had the camera noises when scanning my ID for a banking app directly after configuring the phone.
I thought the permissions pop up when copying and pasting was odd.
Did you end up with just a black screen? I had a similar issue with iPhone Pro I just hard restart it with volume button and power button
If you are able to reset a device by holding the power button down, then by definition, it is NOT "bricked"

Other than the benefit of longer battery life with the max which size would you suggest and why?
Just got the iPhone 14 Pro Max (15 minutes ago) and using the "set next to other iPhone" option it now gets your country origin, goes through facial recognition, set up Siri etc, then transfers the sim info to the eSIM and then starts updating to iOS 16.02, reboots and then continues the data transfer.
My 14 Pro max battery life is incredible, I have AOD on as well as haptic keyboard and easily get through the day, finishing with about 50%. And that’s with 8 to 9 hours screen in time. Only issue I have experienced is the low volume on Car play, callers say they can hardly hear me. Overall loving the 14 Pro Max experience

My 13 Pro Max would be around 20% right now but it was a year old.
Battery was draining slightly faster than expected for about 3-4 days after moving to it but it’s all good now.

Got mine a couple days after launch and have had zero issues whatsoever.
I’ve had my 14 pro 3 days and I’m not experiencing any of these issues thankfully.

My year old 13 Pro Max would be 20% or less at this point with battery health @ 93%.
Battery drained faster than expected until about Tuesday (transferred over Friday evening) but battery is all good now.

The Pro models are "sold out" in the Netherlands and Belgium, but in reality they wait with delivery until the software problems have been solved to prevent damage to the cameras.

Bricking issue I had also last year transferring data from iPhone 12 to 13.
I wish review channels would do more thermal tests on phones with more real world situations. Like GPS + Qi charging + music / video or CarPlay like you’d be doing on a commute.

PSA? The screen scratches pretty easily. I was carrying it around in my pocket and accidentally had my keys in my pocket (I am usually extremely careful to keep keys and anything except the phone and headphones in a different pocket) but it happened and there are now pretty deep scratches in my screen.
I have gotten the newest model past 5 years but held off this year. Glad I did. That camera shake sounds crazy!!! Wonder how they will fix that

I always buy Spigen tough armour cases for my iPhones, but never tried the chargers!
Their chargers are good. I don’t use it to charge my iPhone but I have the 45W PPS charger (not mentioned in the video) which comes with a nice braided USB-C cable.
I also always get the Spigen screen protectors, they feel higher quality than the cheap Chinese ones and have saved my phone from scratches and cracks

The problem with patenting software features is the other team will just argue they use different code and different style. This is why software features are copied easily between brands.
I remember when I had that stabilization issue a while back on my galaxy s6. I would have to give it a little pat in the back for it to stop shaking so aggressively. Ahhh good times

regarding the video you made about the 13 pro vs 14 pro cameras, are the issues that you pointed out about the 13 pro taking better pictures in some situations a bug? or is it something that we will have to live with as a fundemental difference in cameras?
This is why I never upgraded this year. It’s just not much of a difference at all. I’m happy with my 13 pro for another year then the 15 pro max will be my next

I’m so happy I bought the 13 pro max (Alpine Green) had it for about 4 months now. That’s a huge upgrade coming from a iPhone 6 Plus.
I’m coming from iPhone 12 Pro Max, so upgraded to 14 Pro Max. Not even set mine up yet waiting for that phone case to come in mail.
I had severe camera issues with mine, you should open it just to make sure it’s not a faulty unit so you can return it and wait for a new retail unit. The issues persisted in the apple camera app preinstalled with iPhone.

Imagine if the 13PM had AOD, a photonic engine, 2000 peak brightness (higher brightness in general) bigger lenses, and better network connection (by far compared to the 13pros). And on top of all that, it carries a smaller battery?!? Good job on the 14pro models.

Its hilarious to hear the 14 Plus sales are worse than the mini. but as some tech you tubers were saying the Plus was put in the lineup to show that for just $100 more you can get the Pro.
I am lucky enough to have not experienced any issues. I have not tried battery indicator, I will give it a shot now.
I also noticed that watching RUclips videos while on a phone call makes the volume of the video to go up and down as the person on the other line speaks or makes background noises. It drives me crazy!! It goes from very low volume to very high in a millisecond. I’m using AirPods 3

Issues with new electronics of all kinds is very common thats why u wait about a month or so then buy a new electronic device to increase ur chances of avoiding these issues
My 14 Pro Max is doing well so far but the battery life is ok, i know it s battery is slighty smaller than the 13 Pro Max but A16 sould be more efficient than A15 but my 13 Pro Max battery still outperforming my 14 P M , the good thing is they are similar and they are good enough to take us all day long.
What about the 14pro.
I have better autonomy with A16 on my old Xs MAX.

has anybody had screen flickering while typing on ios 16? Only happens when screen is on about 50% brightness or less. I have an iPhone 13. It's not really intense flickering but a really subtle flash almost as if the screen gets a little bit brighter for 0.1 seconds after pressing a key on the keyboard. I'm certain it's not a hardware issue since it started happening immediately after updating to ios 16
A pain in the ass to upgrade to iPhone 14. Upgrading to iPhone 12 has been so smooth. Had so many issues yesterday with iCloud sync and iMessages (still have this issue: Uploading to iCloud Paused Plug in your device and connect to Wi-Fi). Today, I lost all my playlists in Music on my iPhone. I still have them all on iMac and iPad, but my phone is empty. I don't like my iPhone 14 at $1500 so far.

What about the major issue of cellular network issues? I myself and many others are not getting cellular connections. Most times, I have no bars and would be lucky to get 1 bar. Without wifi internet, there aren't any cellular bars.

Which of these issues (that all can easily be fixed in software update) are categorized as "MAJOR" issues? "You're holding it wrong" is a MAJOR issue, but is it the battery indicator that is a MAJOR issue? The camera shake (which is a software problem and is fixed in a week) ... or?

I’ve gone with cheap chargers before and even though they’re smaller and cheaper… we’ll they’re smaller and cheaper because they’re lacking the internals that Apple packs into their quality chargers.

The SIM card space not being utilized sounds like it was a decision made late in the design process so they weren’t able to make any adjustments to the main board. Adding a piece of plastic just supports the display without actually changing anything.
My iPhone 12 and 13 pro had this cameras shakes. They replaced the back of the phone twice
I have had a lot of carplay issues, most notably connection drop over wired carplay. My old 12 pro almost never lost connection over wired carplay and my 14pro Max had so many issues I stopped using carplay.
This sales figures, are they US only? Cuz honestly for me I prefer the 14 Plus and a lot of my friends are getting that one too. More so after this video ^^

I’ll also be upgrading from the 8 plus, but I’m not sure if I should wait for at least a month so that the issues get fixed, or just place an order for it right away. Ordering now meaning it will be shipped after a month.

My iPhone 14 pro has a major overheating problem. The device gets unbearably hot when streaming online gaming. This is even went on Wi-Fi and after about 10 minutes.
