The beginning of this is HILARIOUS! I was laughing out loud the whole time - Maxwell's expressions were priceless, as was Jean's reading of the excerpts from the book! I'm looking forward to the whole playlist!
Hi Jean. It just struck me how much like his daddy Maxwell is. He looks so very smart today. Oh yes I so wanted to see how you made that lovely 'sewing tidy' THANKS Jean and Maxwell.
I get such a kick out of watching you two banter back and forth. I just laugh out loud! You two are great together. Maxwell looked very nice all dressed up. You too. 😀
Awe Mother & Son working together how nice. I think your caddy is adorable and look forward to seeing all the steps involved. Thanks Maxwell for helping your Mom. Thanks Jean always so nice to see your videos. 👍❤️😊
I just needed this Jean the interchange with Maxwell just lifted my spirits; love his sense of humor. Looking forward to having a go as I follow along.
I know you have always advised viewers that you are a chatter box. Me too. But I get so tickled at poor Maxwell trying very patiently to get a word in edgewise at times. And he has some very good ideas. I love your videos and your lovely family. This one is a must do. Thank you. I have that same book.
Oh Soooo many times it is ME who gets so excited, all A.D.D. and all over the place, and it is Maxwell who has to calm ME down!! LOL! LOL! Thanks Carolyn:)
Hi Jean! Oh how precious! I sat and laughed delightedly as i watched! Maxwell is such a sweetheart and such a good sport! I have raised three of my grandchildren. I lost one at age 17. That was really hard as was losing my daughter. Two of my 8 grandchildren are still living with me. On is 25, autistic, bipolar and interracially challenged. The other is 23 and severely OCD. So im familiar with some of the same scenarios. God bless you and yours Jean!
The two of you together are a hoot !😂 Sew funny. With all the fabric you have, Maxwell choose something you really don't like. Donation or next fall's 4-H sale !
You two are hilarious. So nice to see a mother and son doing things together and getting along. That's a true bond of love. And I know his father and him do things together too,so as you've shown in some other videos. So nice. This sewing organizer looks like something that would make my life easier.and looking forward to making one too. Where's Maxwell when I need the cardboard cut?...lol
Oh no!! I'll send Maxwell over soon!! LOL! He and Ian just finished a project....we needed a hand rail for our back stairs down to our kitchen here in our old house. Tool boxes out, saws, brackets...and poof...the two of them had it up in no time:) Take care Christine:)
I was laughing so hard at the beginning over the discussion of the box with Maxwell ... 😆 🤣 😂 Same conversation happened between me and my adult son not too long ago.... cute 😍
You two are so funny together! This is going to be a really handy item, I’ve needed this on my cutting bench for ages. Oh and perhaps a couple of little ones to put next to my machines to hold snips, seam rippers and the like. I’m always hopping from one machine to another because what I’m looking for is never where I’m at! 🌹❤️
I so enjoy your videos Jean and look forward to part 2 of this. I am going to go pick out my fabric right now and watch again and take notes. I will be ready for part 2.
The start of the video gave me a good laugh. Very good sport of Maxwell to go pick a fabric and cut cardboard for you. He did a great job. Cutting the cardboard is not an easy task to get it even. For me I wouldn't even bother with the various fabrics; I would just keep it all to one. 😆 Hope to see you and Maxwell in part 2. Glad he is doing well after the accident.
Great idea about just one fabric...keep it simple :) Thanks for your concern...the boys are having ongoing treatments for their backs and neck issues. Not quite up to par, but slowly getting there. Poor Ian...is such a fit man...to see him down and out is not fun! Thanks Christine:)
Wow this is exactly what I need to make. I was going to buy a wooden one now I don't need to. Yours is a lot better and prettier too! Can't wait to start. Thank you 😊💖
Sure! I am using Pellon 931TD Fusible Midweight Nonwoven Interfacing. In part two, I show exactly what it is and how I apply it! Coming soon:) Thanks Cindy:)
Thelma writes: Hello Jean lovely lady, so lovely to see you again. Thank you also to Maxwell for supporting his lovely Mum in this tutorial. Maxwell looks so dapper in his suit, bless him. Love the beginning of this video, pretty hilarious 😂 😂 to watch you both, Mum and son duo having fun. The caddy is going to be very useful, Jean. I guess it is also useful for the kitchen bench as a recipe book stand, can't see why not. Thank you Jean for bringing in such details into the making of this caddy, as always! We don't mind you repeating yourself at all, I think it is very beneficial especially for those who are maybe slower in picking up what you say. 👍 👍 Look forward to the next chapter in the caddy tutorial. Bless you Jean and love to the Trueloves from NZ.
That is a great idea Thelma, or even an iPad holder for your lap. Someone else suggested it is good to hold cards (in playing card games). I am enjoying sharing this tutorial with those who appreciate it:) Take care!
I really am gearing this to beginners! It may not LOOK like a beginner project, but hopefully I can explain it well enough for those to try:) Thanks Anna:)
Sweet Jean, I'm grinning from ear to ear. Do you realize Maxwell chose the same fabric as you did on the original?? Cherry 🌸 Blossoms 🤗 he went from blue to pink.. yours was blue lol his is pink.. I just got a tickle from it. Great minds!!🤩 Love Maxwell, Ian, and Yourself . Have a blessed day see you in #2 this is really a great lil idea for toroidal. Love seeing your sewjo coming back into full swing. Peace n love to you friend🥰
Hi Jean, I made your sewing caddy today and I posted it on my facebook page and gave you credit for it. I hope this was okay. I love the caddy and hope to make more for gifts and to sell them if I have your permission. Thanks again for the great pattern.
Sounds great! All fine by me:) Thanks for sharing ~ I'd love to see a picture and we can show our other viewers your lovely creations:) If you'd like you can email me a picture(s) to: Truelovequiltsforyou@gmail.com
I didn't know Maxwell was left handed. I am too! When I learned how to use scissors, the left handed ones were soooo stiff you couldn't use them, so I learned to use the right handed scissors. Its hard to find a good pair of left handed scissors.
I think it’s so funny: He’s picking fabric out of YOUR stash; (at your request-“let Maxwell decide”) he chooses (NOT blue) and you’re like, “I don’t love that. 😐 Why don’t you pick something else?” 😂 lol 🤣 (you must hv originally chosen it; why did you buy it if YOU don’t like it???) 🤣😛😂 Q: Cd this be made w a smaller bottom so the A-frame ends up thinner? So it cd stand up on a windowsill, for example?
Jean i wish you would stop treating him like a small child. Stop critizing him on verything. He is a very smart man. He needs to be told what he is expecting to do that day, Dont throw him into something ,He gets upset with you. Let him choice the fabric he likes. I'm not critizing you I had a son with special needs and had to learn how to teach and treat him like my son . Maxwell be yourself.
Perhaps two, even three, boards glue (stick) together. It really depends on the amount of 'tools' (notions, scissors, cutters, rulers etc.,) and the weight of them. I use the cardboard box as it is very sturdy:) Thanks Patty:)
Maxwells is so handsome all dressed up.
He DOES look handsome, doesn't he?!?! Thanks Flo:)
Hi Jean and Maxwell you two crack me up. Love seeing you work together. Like the caddie. will be following along
