Haleiwa Joe's is a favorite place to dine, and the 2-lb. prime rib is awesome. I didn't think I could finish, but did. Everything on the menu is good, you cannot go wrong here.

This location is epic and the drive there is so Hawaii! I remember taking the bus from Kailua to Honolulu as a young kid and from Pearl City to Honolulu as a teen. Ko olau range is amazing! Happy birthday Felix!!!

Haleiwa joes Kaneohe holds lots of good memories for my fam, me and my husband had a mini party there with our friends after we got married. They also offer take out for the prime rib if you don’t wanna do the wait. We ordered last year for my birthday so good we got two but ended up only sharing one cause it was huge. Sliced up the other for French dip sandwiches the next day 😋 also picked up a baby cake my fav. They used to offer a Sunday brunch buffet with the prime rib too I think.

My absolute favorite place in Hawaii for prime rib. Great taste, HUGE cut. For people who havent been here....Make sure you go early when they open for dinner....they run out of prime rib pretty quickly, especially on the weekends and special occasions like the holidays and valentines day, etc.

I always wanted to go to this location (I've been to the North Shore location only and can't remember what I ate it's been years), this location looks so beautiful with those views/garden. Food looked great and what a way to celebrate your birthday Felix, happy birthday again! Have you ever been to Buzz's Steakhouse? I've never been there and was curious as to how it is.
A method I did for Prime Rib or Ribeye Roast is to cook it at 500 for 30 min then either shut the oven off and let it slow cook or lower the oven temp to 250 and slow cook until it reaches an internal temp of 125. Did it last Christmas and it worked great. Big thing is to make sure it gets to room temperature before putting it in the oven and get one of those digital probe thermometers if you don't have one.
Have to make sure your oven retains the initial heat. Have to bake it and not use convection mode. When you turn it off in convection the heat leaves tbe oven. Anotber way is to roast it at 250 degrees to desired doneness like medium rare. Remove and let stand covers for 30 minutes, then broil it for 10 minutes to get a crust.
