Thanks Christine. I'm hoping the strawberries on the allotment pick up a little in the coming weeks. If not there could be a bit of a Winter project coming to revamp that area of the allotment.👍🌱👍 Already got half an idea brewing 😊
Ooh, I wish I had an empty bed or 2. I still have a lot to move out and no space 😞 My plot is full to overflowing. Wish I hadn't put 4 beds down to flowers now, but I do love my flowers. Still have all my courgettes, leeks and tomatoes to plant out. I am hoping to take up the onions this weekend and then I will have space to get some things out. The ants will love the soil that is dry where it has been covered. Happy gardening 🙂
I'm not even sure how I've ended up with 2 empty beds at this time of year. I started off so well earlier in the year planning everything out but must have got lost along the way. Think I'll be parting with some hard earned cash at the garden centre soon to fill the gaps 👍🌱👍
Best leeks I harvested were Musselborough, tried Elefant last year and they bolted and were lanky. So back to Musselborough again this year. Jo Devon 🙂

I think the person had not long spent a wee bit on getting the fence put in as I remember it being a nice wooden one as opposed to the cheaper chicken wire ones a lot of folk have. It all just looks a bit comical with the fence missing and holes where the posts used to be 😂😂😂😂
Hi Nicky, I was lucky to get most of mine from a local community group here in Linlithgow when they were bulk bought a few years back. I've picked up a few since then mainly from Facebook marketplace. Make sure you shop around for them though. They're a lot more expensive than they used to be as I think a lot of places have cottoned on to folk using them in gardens. 👍🌱👍
