September 😱😱 it was very cool and damp out this morning but by afternoon it’s 30c. So few jobs like pruning and sowing broad beans 🫘, plus Chinese greens. Great update happy sowing, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

It's only been 17 today. So frustrating. These tomatoes are really trying their to ripen. I'm sure a week or 2 sunshine would make a difference, but it's very autumnal here

I grew cress in primary school on cotton wool too, must have been nearly 50 years back
I 'harvested' and made a sandwich with it - good times!

Mark I grow radicchio. Tried eating it but tbh I grow them now for the pretty blue flowers when they bolt we eat some and leave the rest for beneficials. Leave 2 or 3 parsnips & wild rocket for the same reason too.

I've never tried radicchio before, looking forward to trying it.
I've let the last of my turnips go to seed as well. Got some beautiful looking yellow flowers on them at the moment, just need some bees now! 👍🌱👍

@@marksallotmentplot I leave lettuce wild rocket & allsorts to flower for the insects. But word of warning for chard. I couldn’t get up to my plot one year & chard self seeded everywhere. It took me a few seasons to control it 😂. Same with plot marigold tbh. Only leave a few seed heads or it’s a nightmare 🫣
