Based on this and a few other reviews, I got a Linden. Every other fin has some sort of issues for me: the Fin Funs work fine and are inexpensive but are EPIC to get big wide feet into. The Luna is lovely and flowy but it irritates the base of my arthritic big toe on my big wide feet. The Mahina is all power and flow, but it is also friggin EPIC to get into (someone suggested coconut oil). I love all these but... The Linden is the first one that just goes on. Over the light neoprene socks (approx 2 mil). It doesn't pinch, pull. squash or irritate. It adjusts (I even had to tighten the foot straps once I was in the water). It has total butt kicking power. It is agile, and it fits in the Fin Fun skins. not to mention the cool colors I fascinated a pod of little girls today and probably just sold like ten more of these fins... Thanks again for the reviews. They are extremely helpful (and why I now own more fins than you want to know about)...

According to the foot pocket size issue, I can tell you we had spent a lot of time to finalize the size, the challenge is we have to fit a huge size range in only one size, and this is also a unisex item, so this increase the difficulty for us. I am sorry for someone who cannot fit in the foot pocket, but this is the best solution we can offer to the customer. I think Courtney, your foot fit perfectly on this foot pocket as the perfect way to fit this foot pocket is having your heel outside the foot pocket around 2cm -4cm. Don't forget this is an open heel foot pocket design. Let you know one more thing, there is meaning on the bottom design of this monofin!! Enjoy the Monofin!!
Sierra, thanks for mentioning the point about the monofin fitting in a finfun tailskin, which I have, I looked at the fin for awhile, but was concerned if it would fit in my current tail skin
I just bought this monofin tonight. I don't want to have too many monofins, but I'm ready to treat my feet. The mahina has given me plenty of foot blisters and even my Rapid has started to give me toe blisters. I'm so excited to hear you say that it is like the Ferrari of monofins. I love a good fast fin! I've found using lube helps with not cramping as much with the linden. I have really wide natural flipper feet. I also have physical limitations, I broke my back when I was eighteen. I was almost paralyzed, so I have a bunch of nerve issues. But mermaiding has helped me regain alot of the motion I had almost lost.
The sports car is a great way of putting it! The rapid is like a minivan. I have gotten mine and swam in it since you asked that question she did such a great job though! I love this fin so much. it moves so much better than the rapid. Also, Mermaid Linden told me that the rubber is now integrated with the plastic so it won't peel.

Good review! I have the Fin Fun monofins and got a Luna (heh heh based on your review)... which is gorgeous but no more propulsion, I think, than the Fin Funs. It is more durable, and easier on/off. My only issue is the foot pockets need to be boxier: it rubs on my bumpy big toe joint ( I have "Hallux rigidus, a form of degenerative arthritis, which can cause pain and stiffness in the metatarsophalangeal joint"). I am considering the Mahina (a cousin has one, but too far away for me to try it) and the Linden as future fast fins. The Linden looks boxier and roomier in the foot pockets, as well as adjustable. It also fits in Fin Fun skins... though of course, we'd like to have a Vancouver Mermaid skin... Anything larger than my feet (a generous size ten) is great, then I can wear neoprene dive socks, pad my feet, and fill in the space.

Honestly this sounds like my dream monofin, the shape, speed, fit, EVERYTHING about it is just what I want in a monofin. It's just so expensive (for a 14-year-old) and I probably won't be able to get it for a couple more years... Right now the only fin I have is a cheap off-brand kid's Finis monofin that will NEVER fit my size 9 feet and a terrible tail skin that you don't even have to stretch to see through. But hey, everyone has to start somewhere right?

It definitely solidified my excitement for this fin and I can't wait to get one! My only concern is the one size fits all foot pockets, but I have small feet so it should be okay.
You look so beautiful with the monofin and the leggings. I feel like that's the look I want to go for. Just a random swimsuit top, my black goggles and a comfortable monofin with a nice pair of leggings, instead of a tailskin. I think that just feels more like myself and I can't wait for my Pacific Pearl leggings and the Fin Fun AMP to arrive so I can test them out ^^ 💗

MinaZubia I have widish feet. I can normally wear m instead of w. However I used snapple bottles to stretch my mahina but I hate my mahina and want to sell and try this. Little nervous it will be too narrow though
MinaZubia how do u like it. I was considering that on too. I have weak or loose ankle joints and the mahina is too bulky for me. Feels like my feet are detaching from my leg its yucky. I have suntail and finfun monofins and those are comfy

Honestly they all really provide an amazing workout. I use the Luna the most because it is the most comfortable for me and because I am able to swim longer in it, I am able to get more of a workout. It comes down mostly to your form and how you are rolling through your kick.

I have a question😄 since u have the Mahina comparing the two, what are your thoughts? I have the Mahina and the fantasy mono fins. For me the Mahina beats the crap out of my feet. But I love how how strong and fast I can swim with it . As for the fantasy mono fin it’s easy on the feet but not much strength. For me I have to swim harder to get my distance. Thank u . I personally prefer the Linden monofin to the Mahina. It is far more comfortable and has excellent propulsion. The only thing you lose is the flexibly nature of the Mahina.

You say it fits in the FinFun Skins? Can you elaborate? Does it fit tight, a bit loose, or has stretch? And I'm assuming this is for adult skims?

My favorite thing about this monofin is that it fits in a fin fun tail :D it's a great step up from the amp.

I am blessed to have kid sized feet and I tried the mermaid linded for kids and I already love it! But I bet the adult is even better!!!

How big is it at the widest part? I'm making a tail and I am thinking of using this monofin specifically for the straps and foot pockets.
At it's widest part it is just over 22". It makes a great monofin for a mermaid tail!

Most monofins will do that to some degree. I do notice it a little in this fin, but not a lot which is good.
