Repotting Gloxinia

In this video I repot my Gloxinia into a slightly larger pot. After flowering my Gloxinia has died back to just a tuber. Whilst in its dormant stage its the perfect time for me to repot it into a larger pot with fresh compost.

That was quite fun ! If you had seen my face at the beginning of your video you would certainly have had a good laugh as well. The title told me you'll repot your Gloxinia and all I saw was a broken pot with something dead inside.😂😂😂 Where was your plant ? 🤔
You have to know that I didn't know anything about this plant 😉.I've absolutely no experience with bulbs and therefor my surprise.
Once I was tempted to grow an Amaryllis but they seem so top-heavy ( such a long stem ) and I couldn't find a dwarf Amaryllis in my Garden centre.The flowers are so beautiful but after watching your videos about your Amaryllis I'll definitely give it a try.
I've still so many of your videos to discover and until now I enjoyed them all. I really like the way you share your passion and experience !

You should give Amaryllis a go, they are really easy to look after and have such giant showy blooms. There are many different types, although most are very tall, if you look online you may find some smaller varieties. The best way to keep the stem shorter is to not water them too much and make sure the flower stem gets as much sunshine as possible whilst its growing. Mine don't normally need staking unless its a particularly big bloom, the stems are usually pretty strong.
