The service (on this and your previous visit) looks TOP NOTCH, and this new system means a huge amount of fetching and carrying to each table per waiter/waitress. I hope people are really generous with tips (which was never typically the case in the old paradigm of buffets).
I think the key to this kind of buffet now is to order your next food items a bit before you finish your current food items since it will take some time for the waitstaff to get the items to you. Timing is everything now!
WOW !!!!! If this is any indication of new buffets to come, I'm all in. Being a former restauranteaur , the meal you just enjoyed ( including table service ) would easily command over $100.00 each. Great job Wynns. And of course Derek and his lovely better half for bringing it all to us. Can't wait for my next visit to LV. Thanks Derek, and stay safe.
By the way, Derek, I like having your fiancé on the show as well! She adds an extra dimension to the reviews. Just hoping we will one day see her face! One day...
Agree with Russ, not showing her face is like Tim the Toolman Taylor's neighbor, Wilson, on 90s sitcom Home Improvement. Regardless, excellent review as always.
Living vicariously through you as I watch. I had to reschedule my vacation because of what’s going on. So instead of going in April, I’m going in October to Vegas. So I watch your videos and it gives me encouragement. I’ll be staying at the Bellagio and I’m super excited.
I love the look of surprise that comes over Derek’s face when he takes his first bite. It’s almost like he’s had so many bad buffet dishes that if it’s good he’s amazed, lol!
I like to visit Michelin-awarded chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Wolfgang Puck, etc. BUT I’ve been to buffets too. The ones with best taste are: Cosmopolitan, Wynn, Bellagio, Paris, Hollywood (same chef as Paris), Caesars .
So at least there were butter beans for the vegans. Yay! Actually, they are so accommodating and willing to whip up something. The chef came to the table when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Not a bean in the house! It seems they have more ingredients to work with. You 2 make such a cute couple! Your fiance adds a valuable perspective to the show. Love that she's a foodie with a good palette. A whole different perspective.
Hey Bill. Derek loves the beef rib like you. Saw your wicked spoon buffet and I agree. Wynn gets the mid. I know what I'll be ordering in a few weeks. 😂
There are cheaper buffets at Flamingo & Harrahs ($25) but to quote Gordon Ramsay: “Tastes like shit.” I tried both & never went back. Wynn and Cosmopolitan buffets are gourmet-level where the food tastes great. As good as a restaurant
Nice video, as usual, Derek! The food at the Wynn looks great! Your fiancee has transformed you from a "meat and fried chicken" guy into a real food connoisseur. 😄 I like it. 👍
“Tastes like Restaurant steak”,while eating steak in a restaurant! But I get what you mean. When you eat lamb chops try drizzling a little vinegar or a balsamic vinegar whatever the waiter can offer you, it’s very tasty and it enhances the flavor in a good way. You can Also ask for some lemon to squeeze on them, I prefer the vinegar.

@@johnpurdum8126 I agree... but between the $50 room fees per night, the $15 a day fee for parking, and increased food prices no one can afford to go to vegas anymore. Vegas has done this to themselves by being greedy. No one goes to vegas to gamble... they just go to eat and sit by the pool because thats all they can afford to do now. Something has to give.
I prefer to get my food. I’ve seen reviews of servers bringing the wrong food, taking forever to bring the food and even forgetting to bring the food. Not sure how they continue to do this when they allow more customers. I like buffets because I don’t have to wait after I get seated. Walking around in excitement while looking at all the food I can eat is the best part of a buffet in my opinion. Wish they could give people the option of getting their own food if they want. That way people can get served if they want, and those that prefer to get their own food can do it too.

Looks good but 70 bucks? I think I’ll pass
A lot of dough for a lot of dough. LOL!
I think it's worth the $70. Lots of high quality seafood. The sushi, however, could be more upscale for the price.
Depends how big an appetite you have I guess.
What a lovely meal of TAPAS! Do you know exactly how many plates you ordered so you can calculate the cost per plate? BTW, you can make Lobster bisque at home using Better Than Bouillon Lobster bouillon added to a milk/dairy base. That's what many restaurants do! Lobster meat is optional!
Im diggin ms. derek's recent cameos... Youve got a siskel & ebert meets statler and waldorf vibe going on lol. Its cool and keep up the good work! On a side note, not seeing ms. derek's face it gives it a hint of intrigue kinda like how we never got to see charlie in charlies angels, just heard his voice from that talking box lol
Another WONDERFUL video! Thank You!!
Great video everything you picked looks so damn goodI'll have to get out to Las Vegas and experience all that myself I know it's a lot of money but we got to treat ourselves every now and again also your fiance has a very lovely voice she's offering up a lot of information on how and what guys are tasting excellent
Looks lush...can’t wait to try on my next visit 😊
You're helping me accept the new buffet concept and I didn't think that was possible! The Wynn's quality helps too. Thanks for the video!
Another great video Derek! I think all the dishes looked delicious. I can’t wait to try a few buffets next week!
Wynn is the only open buffet
electrictroy2010 The Wicked Spoon and the Garden Buffet at South Point are also open.
Last Wynn video you referenced The Alarm. Great band. You can't have butter beans without thinking of The B-52''s song. "Butter Bean Butter bean..." Great song! Great job with this.
Dim sum looks gourmet. Overall with everything on the menu a bargain especially if you have a hearty appetite. Outstanding video and the best to you and your fiancee Derek.
I watch a lot of Vegas videos and All You Can Vegas is my favorite Vegas channel!
Your review is getting more and more polished and the introduction of your fiancé is a winner. Thanks from UK and Saigon.
Hi Derek! Another great video. Just as an FYI if anyone asks the Southpoint buffet is open now as well. Its the same as Wynn where they serve the food. Im sure you don't want to go there after your last experience but I thought I would share the info.
Thanks!
Getting to know the way the Buffet is served sharing is a good idea and I would ask for two plates to split the dishes! Best way to try more dishes or zero into the really good ones and order more...LOL, The food looked good.
65.99?! I remember going to the damn buffets in vegas for 14.99 wtf
Directorial skills are fantastic also commentary is on point
I wish I had your appetites. I never liked eating a lot of food at one time. I do not know where you put all of the food...LOL. Enjoy your show. You are very nice to your fans.
I love it I cannot wait to have dinner there. That pork belly looked awesome as did all the seafood. Yum yum thanks for posting.
Looks like it’s well worth the elevated price. Thank you Derreck
and fiancée for an amazing review. Once the travel restrictions are lifted, I’ll be back.
Derek you are the bomb. You always bring the good in the food
Hey Derek, the future Mrs Thomas compliments you very well. I enjoy her knowledge and opinion on the dishes. One person may not like something (like cilantro) while the other does. She has taken your channel to a new level 👍. Excellent review, as always. Thanks!
Looks awesome. Hey Derek looking forward to a Southpoint buffet video. They also reopened as you have probably heard.
Last time he was there, there was a hair in his food. I don't think he's in a hurry to revisit them.
Southpoint buffet is open, I know you had a problem last time but you gotta take what you can get these days
We went last week it was really good .We went in at 245 and got brunch and dinner for 37$
