With Jordan Hicks. I'm happy we got him but was it a year too late. Coupled with being a flamethrower how often do injuries occur. I look at 3 current major leaguers who fit this category. (Stephen Strasburg, Noah Syndergaard and Jacob DeGrom). He's a welcome addition but with any pitcher regardless of how volatile always have that in the back of your mind.

The Asking Price for 2 months of Hicks was big as-is and if this was last year and you had over a Season of Hicks coming then the Price would have been Tiedemann and then some 👀
…and STL, right up to the last minute, was trying to do something long term with Hicks so he would not have been available last Season
I hear you on the Injury potential, but feels like that exists for any Pitcher these days

Everyone use to talk about how confident Manoah was. Was that confidence ever real or was it a thin shell of bluster over a gooey center of insecurity. A shell that is now shattered and the runny center of insecurity is leaking out everywhere.

Jays didn’t give up a high price?! Those two prospects are suspect. Jays need to win now! Jays need to get a big bat now. Springer has been a big disappointment this year offensively.

Both of those Prospects have big-time Potential, but I would have made the Trade regardless! (ESPECIALLY great if things work out to the point where a re-up happens with Hicks!)
