I remember hearing Harry do this a number of times during my younger years and he did a great job leading the Wrigley Field crowd in this great tradition. Plus, my congratulations goes out to the Cubs for winning the World Series!
I can remember in the summertime, out of school, flipping through the channels and seeing the Cubs on WGN. If it was a home game and anywhere near the 7th, me and my brother would stop and watch until Harry Caray sang. Love it
So, bare with me…. Drunk post This honestly brings me to tears. But tears of happiness. Because this is the game I love and miss. And listening to this, brings back the best child hood memories. And I’m a Stl Fan. Thank you so much Harrie
Even though WHITE SOX NONE OF THEM 😂 WILL HE TAKING HER OUT....SELL OUTS FOR THE CRACKERS AND THE BISHOP SAYS THE RETARDED IS JACKED UP....GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Mr. Carey spirit will forever be with the game was just singing this n had to hear him sing it n it broke my heart im sure he was smilin when the cubs won the championship ..Forever Remembered Harry Carey ...Rest On...
Before stupid cable blackout rules,Dodger-Cub games from Wrigley were seen both on WGN and whatever LA station aired the Dodgers. We'd watch Vin and Co of course.,but when the 7th inning stretch came on,we switched over to hear Harry lead the crowd. Then switch back to the Dodger briadcast.
Yes, that lady was a hottie. God Bless Harry Caray. I'm from NY and a Yankees fan but I thought Harry was the coolest. His 7th inning Take me out to the ball game is a classic and will go down in history of MLB's greatest moments. Memories like this makes life good.
When baseball was on cable superstations the Cubs were America's team. Carey's partner Steve Stone got lost more requests for his autograph that in his playing days. The power of WGN at work.
I just know you're smiling today Harry Caray!!! CUBS WIN!!! 8 to 3 over the 'red birds' Cubbie dancin' all over the place!!! 0;-) 09-18-2015! HaPpY FriDaY BLeeCheR BuMbS!!!
"I dont care if i ever get back" was real talk back then when the song was made. They didn't have shit to do once they got home. You try and keep me from my home theater those in my way will fall.
I have a good question, and does anybody know the answer to the question, I know that Harry Cary had a stroke in 1987, for the first time in his long carrier calling baseball games, for any teams he missed baseball games, well the first 6 weeks of the season, what did they do about the seventh inning stretch during the whole time that he was gone, did they have a recording of him leading the stretch even if it was like he was there?
well Harry grew up in St. Louis as a Cardinal fan, and announced for the Cardinals longer than he did for the Cubs, and he got to see them win many World Series..so dont feel bad for Harry
Got a recording of Harry doing a Cardinals game in 1967--his persona was that of a boozy fan sitting next to you, not the machine-like precision of today's announcers. As they say, "it was still a game back then"....
Wish you were here to sing like that this coming Saturday.

I am a Ranger fan but Harry was the best at calling a baseball game . RIP

I play this song before the bottom of the seventh every home game I play in MLB: The Show. Sort of my little ritual.
Got a recording of Harry doing a Cardinals game in 1967--his persona was that of a boozy fan sitting next to you, not the machine-like precision of today's announcers. As they say, "it was still a game back then"....

It's here on RUclips
For its 1..2..3 strikes your out..at the old ball game..

Anyone can have a bad Century.....
Double Ds @ 00:49 Ha!
3 hits 3 runs for the cubs
0 runs on 8 hits for the giants. lol
Above the lady at 0:50 I spy an Emmitt Smith jersey.
In my Ancient History Course my professor said the Cubs once won the WS. Is this really true???
@friedchickenicedtea 1998
I wish Minute Maid Park has this kind of fan unity... we need an actual organist and not a recording!
Barry Bonds
"The Cubs have a .121 team average, the worst in the National League thus far."
Hey, there's always next year! Go Cubs in 2014!
2014 was the pinnacle year we added a lot of good pieces. 2016 world series champs
Didn't he die in '94?
0:40
Look at this old man spooning a girl way under 30. She looks so afraid of being seen with him
See the girl at 0:50?
