The constant tasks and not enough people to do them is another good reason why you want to keep your soldiers alive and avoid rushing them into enemy fire.
Dont forget that Schmidtbauer is your only surviving veteran, all the other men from your original command are gone, so it might be worth trying to keep him around, even if he is a pain in the ass.

Really enjoy the series and little anecdotes and sidebars of history. Just watched EP 4 and watched you capture a squad in the trench. Makes up for losing Pederson.

A game taking place shortly after WWII is My Child Lebensborn. You play as the adoptive parent of a child produced by the Lebensborn program, and you do your best to raise, care for, and teach this child as it experiences what many Lebensborn children did in Norway. Don't know if that's a kind of game you would play on your channel, but just thought it would be relevant since it highlights some cultural consequences of the war. And it hits you in the feels!

The French winning a battle is very strange
If the villager praises one of your soldiers after the patrol, you should tell that to him for a small morale boost
A game you might want to check out later is hell let loose. It’s based on ww2 and it’s a fps similar to war of rights but is still a little fast paced. Not a strategy game but quite fun to play.

I think you've been choosing who is doing what too quickly. Schmidbauer was always very intolerant and you misread it as very tolerant and sent him into the town thinking he was. I'm sure we all love your historical knowledge additions to the game, so slowing down to read wouldn't turn a lot of people away from watching I think.
