      Ngl it’s a bad ping the right move would be to either spam ping Ali or to spam ping Ori to back off. Preferably the latter being to spam ori to back off since he doesn’t want to commit to anything.

      yeah as was sneaky said "inform your 'teammates' of the ping" if you ping without context anyone in your team migth think they got pinged but it wont register to the one you're actually pinging. if you are doing this then you might do something else...because I for one aint taking that unknown ping register in my brain

    I actually think Sneaky is partially right and wrong here and he's giving a bit of an emotionally reaction. There are ways to grade a League of Legends player, CSD, KDA, Mechanics/APM, Vision, Vision Defense, Trading, etc etc, but one of the key strengths a player can have that we can all agree on is camera control, sorta like Faker, and also map awareness. Every concept typed so far can be subjectively graded, Chovy is really good at CSD and trading, whilst Faker is really good at camera control. In this instance we have Sneaky who in this clip was extremely focused on trading with Akali and lost map attention because of it, which allowed Alistar to walk through vision and gank him successfully. This is a mistake in which he admits to. In Sneakys defense, he says Master Yi should of pinged it, I agree, I think that if I were Yi I would of danger pinged the Alistar, and if my mid did not fall back, I would of retreat pinged her back. But instead Yi MIA pinged Seanky, which is the just the incorrect ping in this situation. Sneaky in which I think he's wrong here is he claims Yi didn't ping at all. This is false, he pinged incorrectly, but he did still ping. An MIA ping is still technically a ping in League of Legends.

      I don't believe his argument is that he shouldn't have been expected to see Ali, but rather to call Yi question mark pinging him once a sufficient "ping" is not really fair when considering how focused you are on micro in this specific scenario. None of his beef happened in game

  • @FrostbyteEXE
    @FrostbyteEXE 9 месяцев назад +10

    MIA pings legit arent real pings, especially when people use them to troll around. I know there's a stigma around spam pinging Danger pings in low elo or whatever, but in Challenger, there's no excuse to not spam right there on Ali or even on Sneaky's champ so he knows to backup from whatever's coming.

  • @CataLoL
    @CataLoL 9 месяцев назад +7

    Honestly, when I tried to explain this to my friends a while back, they thought I was crazy and just flaming them. When you are in lane, you are obviously more focused on the 1v1, especially if there is an angle to get a kill. So, if any of your teammates have a way to alert you on a possible incoming gank, they should do it properly. Missing ping is the quietest ping. It also doesn't specifically ping a player. In words it's like " he might be there" rather than "he is there" and it's a huge difference.

    • @Gazunda
      @Gazunda 9 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I forget the name of the ping, but I'll call it the red alert ping. That boi is LOUD, and i put it on top of my laner first before pinging the enemy. Works every time. Pull straight up for it I believe.

      You’re missing his point. Again. He’s not talking about vision. He’s saying that in the game when you’re hyper focused you gotta fucking be more intense. It’s the same shit in sports. You don’t whisper to somebody on a soccer field. You gotta have intensity to communicate on the field and games as well. He should’ve mega fucking pinged and it would’ve helped. That’s his point, you don’t single ping. Then he uses an anecdotal reference with his experience in tournaments where things go one ear and out the other. Please use your brain man.

    that point of the ? ping blocking ali on the minimap is partially true. and attention span budget is real, if you were to optimise this you would probably spam ping danger or something. but i still think it's on him to play out this situation. the "who are you talking to bit" and threatening to ban that aeges guy and elo checking him just shows he's so mad. maybe he doesn't get stunlocked like this often and it's just a rare cringe moment.

  • @thannushankrishnadasan9275
    @thannushankrishnadasan9275 9 месяцев назад

    I mean sneaky's explanation is reasonable. League is a hectic game where you are hyper focused on one thing and cant always look at everything at times while also trying to focus on the micro. Pings help us with this by having specific sounds to communicate specific scenarios. A warning ping is instantly recognizable as a negative. A missing ping is useless in comparison and ambiguous in nature. Clear communication is key.
    And people in the comments are missing his point. He's not saying he didn't make a mistake by not checking minimap. He's saying his team didn't communicate the information that they knew to him properly. That's it lol.

    How are you blaming someone else for being blind?? Yes it would be nice if your teammates pinged and guided you through the lane like a silly good baby but this is soloQ, thus your responsibility? Part of the game is having map awareness? I played CSGO for years and youre more than expected to have map awareness and instantly see yourself if someone shows on map, that game has voice comms but youre still expected to you know, play the game yourself. Personally if I would be in this game and saw this I would spam ping yes, because i think my teammates are pretty clueless and bad a the game. So unless sneaky, a former professional player, is willing to admit hes bad and clueless I dont see how you would ever blame somebody else for this.
