Thaks for the video, great to see another cub owner having fun around some beautiful scenery. I bought a C125 after watching Mr Fish and Teapot One having their little adventure, and I can confirm it takes you back to the basic joy of riding a motorbike. You have to leave your ego at home ( not enough power for a passenger) but I've found most riders are very positive and come up and have a chat about it. It's amazing how many bikers got their start on one of these, or have their own supercub story like yours. 👍🇦🇺
Not enough power to go downhill in wind as well. I love riding my semi-auto scooter, it makes me smile everytime and I think for first year power was enough, but I live in area full of hills, so hillclims or windy weather really was pain in ass, so that is why I tuned it up a little bit. I find it actually sad, that after all those years, Honda was unable to add 5th gear, more power, bigger tires, and instead added electronic bullshit. I live in country, where you can drive Cub like vehicles with car driving licence only, so I think 11 HP from start could be dangerous, but really in long term, it does not make a sense for people who are not typical asian size.

Of all the motorcycles that I have had the good fortune to acquire in my lifetime, the C-50 (blue & white) that I had a teenager in 1966 was the one that I miss the most. It was a simpler time and it offered the ultimate economical FREEDOM !!! Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.

Even though it has a semi-automatic gearbox, you can still push start it. Just simply push the bike forward, and when you reach maybe 20 km/h you kick the shifter on the back side. I have a Taiwanese-made one, fun bike to ride.

Great bikes, I’ve had a couple of C90’s and a C50 too. I did 16500 mls in 18 months on my last 1984 C90. Just change the oil ever 750 mls or so and the motor will last for ever. Good to see you back man👍🏍🤪🍻

Yep. Still a few sites with old new Honda stock, or plenty of cheaper aftermarket stuff about. Can even pick up an entire brand new Lifan engine with gearbox for less than £350 👍

Tells you a lot about Chinese manufacturing that they could take something as utterly bombproof as the C90 motor and make a copy that wears out in 10,000 miles.

So I wear a Harley Davidson jacket when I ride my super cub of my coworkers, who actually has a Harley gave it to me and was like here it’s got Kevlar in the arms and shoulders where it for safety and don’t kill yourself. I need to get the Kevlar for the back part of the jacket but I did think that was a pretty nice gesture.

@@thatwelshman4518 yeah, I agree with you about the keyless but I didn’t have a choice in the United States. That’s the only model they got, unless you get import. But I do like the analog brakes that they added for the front and the LED lights all the way around and the fuel injection.
@@thatwelshman4518 I own one a couple of years ago for cub racing events, the off road ones were a blast, currently building an ecub, brought an electric kit from china but ultimately I’d love to mod a c90 with 200-300cc engine to allow safer drives on 60-70mph roads, nothing worse than having a lorry behind you lol
It’s really cute it’s got the same colors as mine. I have a 2020 Honda super cub but mine has a 125 CC engine for our American road. I would not want to go any smaller but it might work for you. It’s got a bigger step than mine.
@@thatwelshman4518 oh yeah, the brakes are good. In fact one other guy I’ve been watching on RUclips actually put a new caliper on his brakes that have two pistons instead of just one. that one now probably stops real fast. But you had to be careful and keep in mind because I might be able to stop faster than a car behind me. And I noticed in the video you said that that little one has three gears the bigger one has four years and it really does not need a fifth gear. That little one is so damn cute.

I would recommend new rear shocks for sure. Changing the oil is a doddle.
Yours is not only faster (red Vs blue) but also much tidier.

Best thing you can do is save that engine and put a lifan 110 straight swap in with 4 gears. I did a video on here on fitting one. I'd never go back

Yea, think it depends. Some of the Lifan ones seem to be pretty decent from what I’ve heard. Can’t beat the original though in my opinion😃

Semi auto Motorcycle, there was an auto 50 version too but they’re very rare to find in the UK.
It was the most stolen item in the 90s i had one it was called the grandad 90 they are durable though i went camping on mine
