I watched Halloween:The Curse of Michael Myers as a kid then finally watched Halloween:The Origin of Michael Myers I honestly liked them both. You can clearly see there were a lot of changes and rewrites made to the story. But, people forget The Revenge of Michael Myers’ director clearly didn’t care the franchise he just directed a screenplay that made Haddenfield look like a small European town instead of a midwestern town and the closing moments were the Man in Black, who was just added to the story at the last minute without any purpose, shot up the police station and then disappeared along with Michael and leaving Jamie frightened and alone. Just said this is going to be someone else’s problem.
I’ve always been happy with the version of Halloween 6 that we got honestly. It’s different in a good way and really isn’t as bad as some people claim. Also has one of my favourite artworks for a movie.
Not a great movie, but it holds a special place in my heart for being the first Halloween film I saw in theaters (at the tender age of 16). While this alternate script doesn't sound great, I kinda like the idea of doing a 'Loomis gets his groove back' story. Like Tommy goes to him for help and he's like, "Nah, I'm good. I try this every year and a bunch of people always end up getting killed anyway." Of course he'd have to come around by the end of the film.
Halloween The Curse Of Michael Myers became one of my favorites in the franchise when I saw the scene where John Strode was impaled on the fuse box and his head exploded The original story sounds like a good idea if you take the virtual reality aspect out of it and the idea that DR Loomis had finally flipped his wig
I love Daneil Farrands and have chatted with him a bit. I do wish they released the Producers cut instead of the theater version. And I wish we had gotten the sequel that was planned for the Pcut version which was to continue the very same night. With Michael in the Man in Black outfit. We were to learn much more about the Thorn curse and the Druid Cult and that most of Haddonfield was in on in from the start. I also have read many of the original various different scripts he did for Halloween 6 that were all different and would have been incredible to have seen!!! Still Halloween 6 Producers cut will always be my favorite of all and the last great film in the franchise by a million miles!
I remember it getting such bad reviews my dad waited for it to go on video and he rented it for me as a new release. I was 8 I remember it being the coolest Michael has ever looked and being obsessed with Tommy Doyle . If I paid attention to plot it probably would have been on my worst movies list but I was 8 so it's more of my guilty pleasure film. Has a spot in the ol heart
Sad bit of info I hadnt heard until recently is that just prior to his death, Donald Pleasence had spoken to his agent and was already planning to come back to film the H6 reshoots😢.
I think this is definitely a good time for me to make the statement we need to make a sequel to part 6 that brings what is the original saga to a end and therefore destroys the curse, the cult and Michael once and for all. Tommy Doyle should be the new Loomis, the Loomis character needs to come back as the new leader of the cult and everything should be brought to a end.
I state this because H6 the producer’s cut is now being accepted and recognized as cannon. I’ve been loyal to this storyline since its first release and finally, after all of these years people are starting to catch up.
I like the Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers that we got theatrically. I’ve always loved it since I first rented it on VHS when it first came out. I’ve always been a fan of that film. I am thankful that we got the producer’s cut officially. Though, I really like certain moments in the producer’s cut; however, I still favor the theatrical cut.
Halloween 7: The Redemption of Michael Myers. Where it follows the ending of the producer's cut with Micheal posed as the man in black and finding ways to redeem himself from his monstrous ways. Now that he's freed from the Cult of Thorne's leash. How's that idea?
Michael Myers has a thorn cult tattoo on one arm briefly shown in Halloween 5 which is very flimsy foreshadowing that the audience is supposed to understand Michael is in the thorn cult which got revealed in Halloween 6.
Michael being in a homeless shelter is genius, hes using his real identity as his 'fake identity" they dont know him lol thats a good idea, its different, stuff we've never seen before
The Producer’s Cut of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers stuck with Daniel Farrand’s original script for the most part especially because we get a story about Michael Myers, the thorn cult and the man in black it would be nice if we had a sequel to H6PCut because that is the original cut of Halloween imagine at the beginning of Halloween 7 we get a flashback from the end of the Producer’s Cut and we see the curse being passed onto Dr Loomis and we see Michael Myers wearing the man in black going out into the night to kill some more and then years later Michael Myers is broke free of the Thorn Cult and Tommy Doyle does more research on the cult that Michael had been influenced by in part 6
H6 was a betrayal of the entire mythos of Michael Myers. The introduction of the man in black at the end of H5 left me confused, but H6 felt like the creators took a huge deuce on the brand. I've watched it several times over the years, and while my opinion has softened, that still doesn't mean I like it.
I read about this idea before and it just seems too weird. I prefer the H6 that was released in theaters, flaws and all. One thing that seems like a huge missed opportunity in the producer’s cut is that there isn’t a single scene with Loomis and Myers. Loomis doesn’t even ever see him in the film. At least in the ending of the theatrical cut it’s implied that they had an offscreen scene together with Michael killing him. If Donald Pleasence hadn’t passed away before the reshoots, I bet there would’ve been some new scenes with both of them.
Whats best about the halloween franchise is people that don’t like horror when they watch it they end up liking it! My 6 year old daughter enjoys Michael myers 😂
Halloween 666 I bet it would of been good if it was more worked on and thought about story 1&2 start off with the SamHain bit Halloween 4 was Deff good they kept Michael as a dark figure as he is in the first 2 Halloweens
I love the curse of Michael Myers the producers cut and the theatrical cut it's one of my favorites in the series
Because you’ve got taste, Dave!

What's the difference
Nice! Same

Oh I absolutely agree! The poster is to die for
Keep em coming, man, seeing these new videos pop up frequently is good eatin lol
Oh I’m not stopping! Got another one dropping tomorrow!
I really liked Halloween 6 . I'm glad they stuck with the version we got & not the one you talked about in this video !
Yeah, me too!

I'm loving the content on this channel. These abandoned scripts have always been fascinating to me.
Thank you! I’m going to keep doing them!
@@TheLostRiverDriveIn You're welcome! I look forward to it!
I remember the old Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest VHS tape had a trailer for Halloween 666: The Origin of Michael Myers.
It was also on The Crow VHS.

He really is a great guy! I’m happy to find more fans of this movie, especially since it’s had such a long road to get to the point of respectability
It is a shame that too many people got involved and messed it up. Thats Hollywood though

I love seeing these videos they are awesome Nick !!
Thank you my friend!
It’s kind of insane how they never did more with that preacher in Halloween 4. I remain convinced he needs his own movie.
I saw the trailer for the origins of Michael Myers on VHS.
Such a throwback isn’t it?
We need a Halloween 6 part 2
Nah Halloween 4 part 2
Both
The Producer’s cut of Halloween 6 is a competent movie even though doesn’t remove issues including the Thorn cult which came out of nowhere.
I remember it getting such bad reviews my dad waited for it to go on video and he rented it for me as a new release. Halloween 6 has a soft spot in my heart too. There is no shame in that
I refuse to believe that this is the script that enticed Donald Pleasance to come back
I love the producers cut but I wish they got Danielle Harris back as Jamie
Sad bit of info I hadnt heard until recently is that just prior to his death, Donald Pleasence had spoken to his agent and was already planning to come back to film the H6 reshoots😢.
I know man, I hate to even think about it. RIP to Donald

The theatrical cut is absolutely my preferred cut too
Nick with another banger! Keep the fire going 🔥🎃🔪
Can’t stop won’t stop!
I’m happy with what we got
The theater version made no sense
Same here!

Oh I’ve got a Halloween 7 video coming VERY soon
Its one of my favorite.movies its fantastic very scary i love how drak michael is hes so strong rea badsass
Producers cut is the best in the franchise. You are right Michael is very dark and strong
Michael is MEAN in this movie
Thanks for the video love it ❤
Thanks for watching Brett!
Michael Myers has a thorn cult tattoo on one arm briefly shown in Halloween 5 which is very flimsy foreshadowing that the audience is supposed to understand Michael is in the thorn cult which got revealed in Halloween 6.

In ways, yes, but Farrands’ original script was far different than any version we saw
This was silly lol
A little bit lol
Whoever wrote "curse of Micheal Myers" really hated Jamie Lloyd.
😂😂😂😂😂

Halloween the night he came home and Halloween more the night he came home are the two best

666 symbolizes the mark of the beast as it was the original title for Halloween 6 . the Curse of Michael Myers
Will Michael killed his sister Judith in 78 could it be that she faked to death she keeps having visions of her brother Michael
He killed Judith in 1963. Not 1978... He tried killing Laurie in 1978.
Halloween 6 was pretty good just the story and the plot of the movie sucks.of course the Producers cut is better
🔪🔪🔪
I dont like the idea of loomis at smithsgrove
I don’t either, at all
@TheLostRiverDriveIn on one of your other posts I put an idea to replace the halloween 2018 because I was so disappointed in it. What did you think?
