Very well done. I only recently found your channel and I'm mad it took me this long. I am a fan sir and as a lifelong fan of horror and Halloween that is also obsessed with the ocean of unmade horror sequels I appreciate your work.
I think if Halloween is going to continue then it's time to try something new, I think the anthology idea might be worth revisiting, because the Michael Myers ship has not only sailed, its sailed gotten lost in uncharted waters returned to port and sailed again, I don't think they can milk it much more than it already has been. The anthology idea however could present an infinite number of possibilities, the only limiting factors are the writers imagination and the budget, yes it didn't work so well with three but that wasn't down to the movie being necessarily bad it just didn't strike the cord it needed to, and that was along time ago and I think it's worth another shot.
It sounds bit bonkers but very intruiging, I am not gonna lie. I would love to watch it :) I think Ends and Kills might be slightly inspired by this script. There are shades of this "spector Myers" in what we got from DGG and the crew. Well, there are shades of everything from Halloween history - made and unmade - in this new trilogy to be fair :)
❤dead on with them taking bits and pieces for the newer movies. I really tried to like Ends....Kills...was pretty good except Evil Dies Tonight over and over. Except I saw a version where they are not chanting that as much. The 2017 HALLOWEEN? A- In my book
Resurrection was toying with the idea of bringing Michael back as some form of spirit that would become human long enough to kill, and then revert back to spirit form, until it was time to kill again. Early concept that obviously didn't pan out, but probably would have been better than what we got.
With the weird transitional phase we’re in right now, I see it as not only the opportunities being endless, but also an opportunity for directors to start making movies like this along with other Halloween movies that were supposed to be made but never were. This one in particular would be an amazing start to bring Michael back.
Awesome video bro, H4 is my fav poster, i finally got it in a black frame , for me H4 was pretty special, i was 13 At the time, it was a long time and H3 was not on my like list as i love it now, well we all know the story but H4 , i saw it in 1988 in theatres as it was rated AA here in Canada, my friend and i went, of course i loved it and to this day its my 3rd fav in the franchise behind the original and part 2-81, H4 has its flaws but for me that doesnt matter, i love it.
Really glad the films went the way they did. And Rob Zombies werent that bad (just a personal opinion✋) . But this movie idea does for sure sound interesting.
Awesome video Nick hope you're well my Awesome friend . yeah glad we don't get this film in the 1980's . I'm happy with what we got . Halloween 4 is one of my favorite films in the series .but I wouldn't mind seeing it in a graphic novel format .
definitely feels like a lot of it surfaced somewhat on Halloween Ends, similar to how some Halloween 666 drafts seem to foreshadow the 'hobo Michael' we'd see in Rob Zombie's Halloween II. gotta say, it's cool to see how no matter who's at the helm of the Halloween franchise creatively, some concepts and ideas will always around until fully crystalizing.
This would've been an almost perfect way of finishing the Blumhouse trilogy, taking Carpenter's unused Halloween/Michael Myers stories and mixing them into this final movie.
Instead they went the Christine route.. It was a nice try.. But oddly enough if they keep Blumhouse canon ironically they'd be easily able to implement something like this
Interesting idea for the franchise. Myers returning as some sort've spectre. And from the "absorbing the bullets" scene. This version of the Shape reminds me a bit of the T-1000 from TERMINATOR II. On the subject of the late lamented Cannon Films being interested in HALLOWEEN. I had read in Fangoria's FREDDY Vs. JASON Special that Cannon had also been interested in pitting Micheal against The Texas Chainsaw Massacre's own Leatherface also. Any info on that one ? Or did it not go anywhere past the just the pitch for MICHAEL Vs. LEATHERFACE ?
Nice video. Learned something new. My only wish would be to have a Michael Vs Jason Movie. I know it would be hard to write in some way, but I don’t care for a clear winner. I would just like to see their styles collide on the big screen
Wouldn't it be cool, if this particular (Haddonfield-oriented) story ended up being depicted on Peacock as a series? I truly still want Carpenter and Hill's Halloween Anthology concept, either on Peacock or in theaters or both, and in comic, short story, and novel form.
Sometimes less is more, and I think a 12 foot Michael would probably have been laughed at. But it's still interesting to hear what they were considering.
as much as i love halloween 4 it is same old same old this have been a great return of myers while doing something new with the source material , i would love to see this idea used for the next hallloween if this series is to continue and we dont do the halloween 3 thing this would be fresh and new while keeping with the lore of myers
You'll never get a majority of fans to like any halloween sequel. There is no combination of factors that would win a majority over. The only thing they really want, whether they realize it or not, is to watch the first one again but for the first time.
I might be down for a film in which the town of Haddonfield is haunted by the spirit of Michael Myers. Certainly, if they want to ever follow up Halloween Ends, that would be one idea that might work.
@@TheLostRiverDriveIn turn Michael into an urban legend type of ghost story. If you dare go inside the Myers house, Michael will come for you and your family. Someone does, and they begin to see apparitions of Michael Myers. Unexplained brutal deaths begin to occur. I just pulled that out of my butt. I don’t know if it is a good premise, but maybe something like that. 🤷🏼
if Halloween 4 would have been the original movie were Michael's ghost comescomes back to kill people if Halloween was banned, then the mayor of Haddonfield would say, oh, we're gonna demolish the Myers house, so Michael Myers doesn't return because Halloween will be banned
This script without super natural elements maybe some but not alot it should be the thought of people thinking he's an enity and having illusions not coming up with a conclusion of what he is kinda like the David gorden green Halloween trilogy
John wanted to branch out and I’m glad he didn’t. Everything I’ve ever read or researched suggests that his idea for the 4th , just like his idea for the 3rd (failure) would have sucked. He ls not bitter about what he done, he’s bitter that his crap ideas for the next sequels weren’t listened to. Ironic he is bitter about the franchise, but still keeps collecting checks.
I wouldn't have wanted this over the H4 we got BUT I think it's what they should've done in 2018. If they're insisting on making a series about Haddonfield, they could definitely take some ideas from this.
This video asked "Why wasn't this movie made?" Because it was the stupidest idea ever!!! And Mustafa knew it... That is why Mustafa Akhad is a Halloween legend... He knew what the fans wanted, and he gave it to them...
No Mustafa didn't know what the fans wanted. He allowed so much of the dumb ideas and things to get made. Not to mention he lead to many of the issues with H20 for one. He ruined the momentum created by Halloween 4. Among other things
@re9246 that doesn't make his decisions good.....not to mention horror films always kill off the slasher. And heck the film was a reboot anyways. It could've be a standalone and they could've used that hype to do another reboot or continuation of previous films like h20 was a continuation of the first two
@@gogeta492H2O is a perfectly fine movie. Resurrection is ehh, it’s not terrible. Halloween 5 and 6 is the worst. Best to worst is. Halloween 3 is good movie I don’t consider it to be apart of the franchise. And fuck Rob zombie Halloweens they suck.
I am glad that we got the Halloween 4-6 that we got though, because I’m a huge fan of those movies.
Would be cool if they brought James Wan on board for this type of idea
I LOVE wan!
Been really digging these unmade Halloween scripts/ideas for Halloween. Thanks for the info Nick. One can never know too much about these franchises.
Hey thank you! My next one is going to be the elusive Halloween 9

Loving these Halloween videos recently Nick! Awesome to hear you talk about the things that we almost got as Halloween fans 💖

Saw this in the theater. My first HalloweeN in the theater. Loved it.
Good video, Nick! I wasn't aware of that information, or I didn't remember it.

@TheLostRiverDriveIn Yes, very wild! But the movie turned out great! The only issue is the mask.

I love the idea that Michael would have been a Candyman like Specter...

This movie could still be made today. Michael Myers returning as a phantom would be the logical follow up to Halloween Ends.
I AGREE!
"It's too cerebral! We 're trying to make a movie here, not a FILM!" - studio execs, probably
Bingo!
I’d much rather have had this version!
Same here!
A giant MM is the dumbest thing I've ever heard...
They won’t “swing for the fences” and try anything different because of Halloween Ends. That was a different approach and people lost their minds.
And it’s unfortunate, because that’s how you stay relevant! You have to evolve
