Yeah lmao, Its strange this game doesn't have a cleaning effect, It doesn't really have a track worsen effect its sort of static unless you run the same stage 6 times in a row
Oh dear what have I done? xd I am very thankful you took the work upon yourself, because I considered doing it, but decided not to because I would have too many skill issues to isolate the variables. I played Codemasters F1 Games for years so to me the weird thing of the track getting worse in feel and not visually actually sounds very in character. You mentioned in our first exchange career is boring to you (and that seems to be the common opinion), but for me it's a great time and I think adding proper track evolution between cars is something they should implement to make it feel more alive. Career would become more of a competition against "characters" instead of a time trial against names if the leader actually had to clean the road like Neuville this season and others had chances to gain on them that way. Don't have much hope, but maybe they surprise me. Thank you so much for your effort, the stuff you found (espeically between seasons as I hadn't ever thought about that) is very interesting and you've more than earned my subscription
Bless you mate, Yes i still stand by my stance with career mode, there is so much they could of done and can do to make it feel worth while. Problem is once you've done it once you've done it, it doesn't change. I'd love for like car upgrade trees, some actually cut scenes. Similar to what f1 my team/driver career offers. The track deg was strange no cleaning effect, running 1st in real life your at a disadvantaged but not on the game, but it is what it is i don't suppose any game that gets released these days is going to have the amazing features of older games.
Great video! Very well made. I also have a question. There are people that tell me that tire deg is only based on the km you drive. But ive seen before where i drive a same amount of km and sometimes have less tire wear than other times. Is there a way to prove that the way you drive impacts the tire deg?
So i have heard many things about tyres, ive also heard that tyres have a set life. they only way i think you could prove this is run a few stages driving like a mad man then drive the same stages driving more conservative. Problem you may find though is to replicate the results across multiple runs you would have to drive the exact same every time, otherwise there would be too much variance in the data coming back. So i may look into this to see if the tires have a set life(EG 26 miles) or if the game actually simulates tire deg and you could potential run a set of tyres for longer.
I can understand the differential between wet and dry. I would think that default setting wont hold up when there is a lower grip level. And of coarse humans will always have vrariation in skills to some degree.
So really they’ve got that wrong. Max deg down the order in real life is quicker cos everyone before has swept the road. 1st on the road should be slow. Clarifies what I was always concerned about with track deg. Hard for them to reproduce the real life reflection unless they did a 1st on the road gets it worse and is road sweep but then you go later and it’s worse. Now I’m waffling.
Id imagine there is no effect on tarmac mate, tarmac cant really detartrate nor do using cuts bring dirt onto the track. Id imagine there is settings that they set in terms of grip and traction for what each Deg type would be
Wouldn't max deg be unfavorable depending on the weather/road surface? I 100% agree that it gets better after the first few cars sweep the course, but after some point the ruts will slow you down, right? I don't know a lot about this topic so if I'm wrong lmk.
Little case study for you ;)
I am play dirt rally 2 on full degradation, ✌🏻👍🏻
Great information brother.. 🙏🏻
Thank you matey👌
Very nice video man, keep it up!
Appreciate it!
Let's hope Thierry Neuville doesn't see this 😅

Thats why we watch yo, because you go the extra mile to answer questions we cant.. keep it up.. your opinion make me a better driver.. I think..
Lmao, My opinion is just an opinion an progress you make is all down to you and the work you put it my friend!
thats the lovely thing about data, it always is going to steer you in the correct direction

Great video! Had no idea road position mattered in the game🤯
Well you do now my friend ;) 😘
4:20 mandude cut right there, I never woulda thought to take that one. Though I see we didn’t become a farmer coming onto the tarmac
It is no longer the fastest way my friend ;)
Had no idea of that mandude cut 😂Always thought those mail boxes where rock hard 😅
So did i until i crashed into them one day and i went straight through them 🤣
Good vid!
Thanks!
Great video, I hope they keep improving in the graphics and phiysics in the game and not just bring new liveries to the game.
Yes im sure they will do updates for that
Great video mate!
Glad you enjoyed it
Strange the difference in time between summer and winter
Why is it strange?

Yeah it would be hard to reproduce mate, Its backwards but what can we do atleast ive tried to get an answer 😅
Yup. What about trying it in tarmac?
Id imagine there is no effect on tarmac mate, tarmac cant really detartrate nor do using cuts bring dirt onto the track. Id imagine there is settings that they set in terms of grip and traction for what each Deg type would be

Yes in the real world, which is what i was testing for in game, but thats not simulated in game. Starting 1st on max deg is better
😁
