purple glove on the white trunks, part of that glove landed even lower than bottom of the belt and hit bladder, so 100% low blow. besides, if you re-watch that fight you'll see that Dubois was consistently punching below the belt.
The point of impact from Daniel's "body shot" was clearly below the belt. Sure, the thumb and underside of the hand looks like they're on belt-level, but the point of impact came from the lower knuckles of the hand, which were clearly below Usyk's waistband.
A belt where his belly button was safely tucked in. Check him on the floor, it was nowhere to be seen and as Bellew stated, which Geordie left, the belt becomes legitimate. Without the belly button, it becomes a guessing game.
Dubois' low blow was intentional and pre planned. Don Charles came up with that dirty game plan to steal a victory over Usyk. Joshua's low blow on Usyk in the 5th round of the rematch was also intentional but made to look like accidental
@@Anonymous-bb8mgI wouldn't go quite that conspiratorial, but Dubois was absolutely aiming to hit as low as he could without having the ref warn him enough to take a point. Also yes people are overlooking the fact that the punch didn't just impact one spot where it came to a stop, you can see usyks shorts start shifting as Dubois' hook swings up about 2 inches from the spot along the belt people are talking about. Even if the shot landed in what is considered a legal area, it still wouldn't matter because he hit usyks cup in the upswing anyway
4:19 freeze frame by frame if you are on computer( on keyboard) and you really see the punch digging in deep below, it doesnt have to be genitals to hurt you its because that's weak area with weak muscles and intestines and bladder which is why that rule is there in the first place. People need to actually learn boxing rules before commenting, You can't hit below the belly button... it doesn't need to be the balls like some people think. Usyk is wearing his shorts relatively low compared to a guy like fury who wears his shorts/belt line super high so low belt line shots for Usyk are, it doesn’t matter where his shorts are it’s up to him below the belly button and therefore illegal whereas belt line shots against fury would be legal (there are many angles and times during the fight and after where you can see Usyk's belly button peek out of the top of his shorts...) Whether it hits his balls or not is ultimately irrelevant. It's a low blow. This is also why during the fight anytime the belt was hit he'd point to the ref because this was made clear by the ref before the fight that belt shots would be low blows based on how low his shorts are..

If you have ever been hit by a legitimately good body shot you are hunched over and can't breathe.. Usyk was not hunched over. The punch was a low blow, anyone who says it was is either jumping on the bandwagon of haters or is a liar
This is one of those things that fans call out but shows their lack of knowledge of basic rules more than enhanced knowledge they think they have, same thing happens in football where "that's not a penalty" "that's definitely a handball" "definite red card" "thats not offside" etc etc then you go look at the rules and it ends up being the right call 9/10 times with people just not knowing what the rule is.
Spot on geordie boy, clear low blow and then totally outclassed. Only observation I’d make between Dubois & AJ’s efforts is that Usyk clearly rated Joshua because he was happy to outbox him on the back foot but was confident enough to engage with Dubois. Check Usyk’s face after both fights…. also although clearly outboxed, Joshua didn’t quit……
It was undeniably low. The only people who are protesting are those who either don’t know what constitutes a low blow in boxing, or are salty the Brit didn’t win. DDD was outclassed from start to finish. The low blow was the only damaging punch he really landed.
There's a reason why the area between the navel and the groin is known as the "soft underbelly". As a former boxer, I know how horrible it feels to get hit there. And I only got hit by a fellow amateur middleweight, not a world class professional, heavyweight power puncher like Dubois.
@@petermullenberg_worldchampionNot really difficult at all. I've seen punches higher than this one that were ruled as low blows and were actually controversial. This one isn't difficult at all.
Agree with EVERY single point you made mate concerning Usyk being brilliant and the low blow, on Dubois having learned a lot from this fight and will make him a better fighter (champion one day too) and on Tyson Fury's followers who still believe his BS (smart people). The Dubois team did seem to employ dirty tactics and did say they would do whatever it takes to win. Franky boy must be having kittens because a fight between Dubois and Fury would have been stylistically better for Greedy Belly and more chance of winning. Well said and keep it real as ever.

Fury is Warren’s cash cow. Dubois is his pawn to try and damage Usyk to a point when Fury feels he can beat Usyk. Up until then Fury will duck him. Warren knows Usyk will fight anyone, had mandatories waiting so will only sign up to fight his golden boy Fury when Usyk has either taken punishment against others or has lost his skills due to ageing

Can anyone explain why Usyk is said to be vulnerable to body shots? He's never been down in a professional fight and yet somehow he's vulnerable? Makes about as much sense as what comes out of Frank Warren's mouth.
I think this whole controversy has opened up that question. Turns out the only one who seems to know the actual rules…in any language…is Usyk. Even the waistband of his shorts comply with boxing regulations…! “Bart Simpson’s” they’re the ones that Fury pulls right up to his saggy tits, are apparently illegal. Seems that by stirring up this argument and calling Usyk a cheat, Warren & Smack Em In The Mouth Charles have opened up a foot of Fury’s previously unseen legitimate body…!
I know it is crazy. Their hasn't even been any signs of Usyk being weak to the body in his professional career and he has taken some body shots too.... Yes Bertebiev supposedly put him down but he was 19 years old it is ridiculous.
First, was that single blow the only opportunity Dubois had to defeat Usyk? It's disappointing to see such a limited performance. A true champion, like Usyk, seizes numerous opportunities. Even if it was a low blow, it seemed like a stroke of luck because that's all he managed! Second, did Usyk cheat? Did he bribe the referee? If not, it's hard to believe that Usyk, or any fighter for that matter, would challenge the referee's decision in that critical moment! And third, if the referee deemed that blow as legal, who's to say Usyk couldn't have recovered and fought back with the surge of adrenaline caused by the blow? That type of hit stings but doesn't necessarily knock you out!
Thanks for this valid review of the situation and besides that the "greedy belly" situation. AJ and Usyk fought twice, Fury has never fought either AJ or Usyk. I think we know who the common denominator is - greedy belly
The fact that Usyk's team pulled his trunks down after the fight to highlight his belly button when it was clearly covered during the fight tells you they saw this controversy coming lol. The shot was borderline but in my 40+ years of watching boxing I don't remember seeing a belt line shot ever being called a low blow. But whatever, the right man won. Dubois probably shouldn't have been in the ring with Usyk in the first place.
In the replay if you look very closely frame by frame, you can see Usyk's shorts shift while Dubois punch is still about 2 inches from the spot along /under the beltline where the punch stopped. The punch at least grazed the cup, if not actually catching the corner one the way. The punch came from a very low angle and hit a lot more on the upswing than just a picture of the final end point would suggest.
The navel was visible at multiple times throughout the fight, even if they pulled it down to highlight it, the punch was somewhat under the navel making it illegal, if Dubois would’ve won that way it would’ve been worse than what happened now
This is the same behavior as after Wilder's first loss. Making excuses for your loss. Except Dubois fans had something slightly more believable to latch on to.
people keep going on about the picture after the fight where usyks belt was below his belly button but they were above it when dubois landed the shot. low blow my arse.
That k.o. punch from usyk was soo funny. Dude clearly was mentally and physically tired. He gave up and laid down 😂😂😂😂😂😂.. that how I lay down after chasing kids around the house for 10 minutes 😂
It's so true about Fury. Imagine if they'd just said yeah Ali probably beats Frazier and Foreman, don't think we really need to see it, we already know. Not only would Ali have not been able to secure his legendary status but also the boxing world would've been robbed of several amazing fights.
I’m not usually a fan of jordie, I mean his tats and undersized shirts won’t help him a bit in his poker career but his analysis of Usyk DDD and Fury’s recent career choices is bang on.
As Gordie said, low blow don't need to be in the groin. It was a shot in Usyk's bladder. Plus, Dubois was warned many times about low blows, one uppercut already was low and one hook had hitted Usyk's butt. So yeah, a low blow of many throwed by Dubois. And for Christ's sake, it's a looping shot, the impact was almost in the complete bladder region. It's a upper, it have a way bigger impact area than a straight, it's obvious.
Put it this way - if how low the shot landed WASN'T pivotal in causing damage to Usyk, why didn't Dubois just aim his shots higher? He wouldn't have risked being penalised. Answer - because it was specifically the low target of the shot that was amplifying the damage. That's why he was doing it and thats why low blows are illegal.
I think DDD is a more dangerous fight than Tyson for Usyk, Fury looks clumsy mid range to inside, I can't see Fury beating Usyk. Unless he stinks the joint out and wrestles and smothers him all night.
Dubious looked more hungry that AJ, but to say he did a better job than AJ? No way. Did you see Usyks face after the AJ fight? Now compare that to his face after the Dubious fight,
You can explain all you want but that was NOWHERE NEAR! Watch it in slow mo, The pants raise up as the punch is thrown, if usyk relaxed and adjusted that waste line would be lower, Because how thick the waist line is the shorts naturaly get higher because your hips push the belt up while fighting, thats why you see boxers adjusting all of the time. LOOK AT USYKS ELBOW POSITION Bend the arm and bring your hand to your head, That punch landed just below the elbow, Stand up and do it, Look how high it is, There is no way anyones elbow can be near a waste line unless you are fully leaning to one side, Which he was not. His belly button is around centre of his glove. When you bend your arm the belly button is few inches below the elbow, And Its physically impossoble to hurt anyones balls from hitting the belly button. He got absolutely stunned from a body shot, Usyk did not hold his balls once after that shot.
100% I wish people would just use their eyes, the matter of fact is Usyk is saying he got hit to his groin. That is physically impossible. Nowhere near the nuts. So we got people like True Geordie saying anything below the navel is a low blow anyways. This is a fallacy called moving the goal post. Dubois got screwed over, and it disheartened him. Warren said they were told at the back anything below the waist is illegal, and Dubois' shot hit him in his belly.
It didn't LOOK like a low blow but opinions are irrelevant if you look at the rules and If I understand them correctly, part of the glove touching the pants cloth under the belt in this case (please correct me if I'm wrong) means that it was an illegal blow. I don't think it was intentional though.
All i know is anyone who thinks Dubois deserves to be unified champion with 4 belts after that skidmark of a performance needs to go watch badminton 😂

💯% low blow wasn't the only one either and he quit after getting a jab in the face ddd quit not a world level fighter
Yes, terrific assessment by Brian, just wondering why the ref did not take a point off Dubois for the "low" blow.
Well said, definitely a low blow. Credit to Dubious for lasting so long.
This is the same behavior as after Wilder's first loss. Making excuses for your loss. Except Dubois fans had something slightly more believable to latch on to.
DEFO A LOW BLOW! Dubois also lost every round and took the knee and quit again. People thinking dubois should get a rematch need their heads testing
people keep going on about the picture after the fight where usyks belt was below his belly button but they were above it when dubois landed the shot. low blow my arse.
That k.o. punch from usyk was soo funny.
Cheers bri good analysis, definitely a low blow. Usyk wins this fight 10 times out of 10, but Dubious could keep the division going!
People are giving Dubois extra credit for being better than expected. Dubois wasn't even remotely competitive while AJ and Bellew were.
Finally somebody is saying the truth about the low-blow and about Fury too as it is - good job and wish you all the best
I’m not usually a fan of jordie, I mean his tats and undersized shirts won’t help him a bit in his poker career but his analysis of Usyk DDD and Fury’s recent career choices is bang on.
at last someone with the perfect explanation
Warren has spent to much time with fury full of excuses
As Gordie said, low blow don't need to be in the groin. It was a shot in Usyk's bladder. Plus, Dubois was warned many times about low blows, one uppercut already was low and one hook had hitted Usyk's butt. So yeah, a low blow of many throwed by Dubois.
And for Christ's sake, it's a looping shot, the impact was almost in the complete bladder region. It's a upper, it have a way bigger impact area than a straight, it's obvious.
That was really entertaining, there is so many opinions but you back yours up with facts and knowledge of the boxing game.
No wonder Uysk was complaining about Low blows. Dubois was doing it all night. Ref's call was spot on, it was an illegal low blow.
"Read two books in his entire life" TG is going to be a hall of famer one day. Mark my words.
People think you have to hit gonads to be a low blow, try taking a punch in your bladder area
Your right TG, definitely a low blow👊
Why are we having this conversation...the ref called it a low blow..DD couldn't finish him and Usyk outclassed and stopped him...end of.....Cha
would usyk have jumped straight up? he was having a spasm on the floor for two minutes
His corner told him to stay down lol
@@KristianDabeski he was literally on the floor shaking like he had parkinsons..go and watch it again
Absolutely 💯 % no doubt about it, it was low, not bollocks but illegal. Froch describes it perfectly
notice usyk pulls his trunks up as he starts to fight?
The only controversy exists because the average person has absolutely no fucking clue how "belt line" is defined in boxing.
the ref called it.... cannot see any controversy here
Put it this way - if how low the shot landed WASN'T pivotal in causing damage to Usyk, why didn't Dubois just aim his shots higher? He wouldn't have risked being penalised.
Answer - because it was specifically the low target of the shot that was amplifying the damage. That's why he was doing it and thats why low blows are illegal.
most sensible comments on fury ive heard in a while
Brian would love if u actually do a full analysis of who will win usyk fury in ur opinion
Waste of time, they'll probably never fight.
Absolutely correct analysis. DDD delivered low blow intentionally.
I think DDD is a more dangerous fight than Tyson for Usyk, Fury looks clumsy mid range to inside, I can't see Fury beating Usyk. Unless he stinks the joint out and wrestles and smothers him all night.
Since when do men not like a low blow
🤣🤣
100%
I think it was low but if ref started count he would have got up and still beat Dubois, Usyk is just to good.
Lee
finally someone speaking facts
Spot on. The ref clearly shows where is good and where is not. It was also below the bellybutton. So matter what you think, it’s a low blow fact.
Love the pain game Bryan 👍🏾
Bro! I love this guy takes on boxing. He keeps it real 🙌🏽
Multiple low blows from Dubois in that fight adn then he gets stopped by a jab. And then complains about what was a clear low blow.
Absolute clown.
Either way uysk has lied, he said it hit his balls and Deffo didn’t, maybe if it was Tyson you would think differently….
a lot of people including me and pro boxers thought a low blow was straight in balls area we are all wrong
Great content mush keep it up
