Mentioned it before, please don't make a laugh or giggle unless U make some kind of a joke, " the consumtion is very low, hehehe" seriously undermines your authority as the highly qualified car tester that U are... Am subscribing to your channel, keep up the good work!!!

I stumbled upon your channel because I have been considering a used 28 kWh Ioniq as a second car. Thank you for the wonderful, real videos on your channel. I especially liked the one on the Ioniq charging experience and rigging the car up with ABRP and CarPlay.
I live in the US where after rebates, an AWD ID4 is about $40K and a used Ioniq is $20K. Choices, choices. What would you choose?

I didn't know you could buy the ID.4 in the US. It's a more modern car but more expensive. But it will charge faster (but is a bit more inefficient) and it has more space being a crossover.
So if you can afford that I would probably buy it, but it also depends on what you need really. If you don't need the longer range and more space then the ioniq is really nice and very good value for money.
Personally I would buy the tesla model 3 SR+ if I had a budget of $40.000

@@tyfonroad Yes, I was also considering the model 3 SR+. I prefer hatchbacks / liftbacks, so the model Y SR would have been perfect. Too bad Tesla only sells the $60K version here…

@@sirishkr I can relate to that, I was originally looking at the M3 AWD but due to the trunk I bought the model X instead :)
The ID.4 is a good hatchback. But in any case I would test drive both the ioniq and Id.4. If you can do with the ioniq it's much cheaper of course (and still very nice to drive imho).

Hi, I'm 63 years old, no more kids in the family
    I drive a 2018 E-Up with sun roof
    I drive very slowly
I'm planning to buy a second hand Ioniq 28
What will I appreciate in the Ioniq?
    Don't you miss the E-up

      Hi :)
You will enjoy the same efficiency (almost), more range, much better seats (be sure to get the one with ventilated leather seats), faster charging on longer trips and more space for shopping :)
I also find the navigation and infotainment (with android auto or apple carplay) to be much better.
The only time I am missing the e-up is when parking in very tight spots and when I want to start the AC from an app. In Norway there is no app for the 28 kWh ioniq. But you can set it to preheat at specific times.

I just got my first EV Mii electric, and I have 3 kids :D
Although I planned to take Multimac seat from Seat Ibiza, the model I have unfortunately didn't fit in Mii... So Mii will stay as pure city car.
Ioniq in my opinion had too less headspace in back.
And the price for new Mii vs other cars were almost x2.
It's kinda bit interesting for me - you have Tesla x and buy other cheap cars, why not at least M3 or Kia Niro/Hyundai kona? They have great range

The model X is for long range, the e-UP and the ioniq is mostly to drive locally and deliver the kids to/from school and kindergarden. It's also mostly used by my wife. The nice thing about the ioniq is that I can also drive long range with it if needed due to the charging infrastructure in Norway.
I agree about the space in the back seat, I almost couldn't fit the largest child seat in there, but I don't plan to have adults in the back :)
As for the e-niro, kona or M3, they cost almost twice as much so hard to justify as a 2nd car. It comes down to it's use. I don't really need the range and I also like the look of the ioniq.

@@tyfonroad I will probably use my Ibiza for long travel for a while... As we have Multimac and no stollers, it's enough even for our day trips, as due to covid we haven't been travelling far anyway now. Looking to sell our ooooold 807 diesel :) with 2 kids I think every car is enough :D for us it's a problem and if going for an big EV I think the choice for me is some new Peugeot e-traveler, but they cost 45k vs 30k diesel... Too expensive for us a while. Maybe used after 5 years if Toyota will sell their Proace Verso with 15year/1000000km warranty :)

Yeah, the corona situation definitely stopped our planned summer car vacation to the mainland Europe!
Hopefully 2021 will be brighter for all.
I had a Toyota Avensis before the X, really solid car. But I wanted to go EV and the X was the only thing that really fit the bill for us. I used to fly to Sweden from time to time for work but after getting it I have not set my foot on a plane. Not planing to do so if I can avoid it in the future either.
Too bad Toyota only made one EV that was sold here as an experiment, the RAV4 electric!

@@tyfonroad Yea, unfortunately they don't make EVs at all... Although If they had a hybrid Proace van (or at least Proace City) I would consider that one. Because for city hybrid is good enough and outside it also has a good range and offer fast refuel and available everywhere.
In Latvia we now have ~70 government (partly EU funded) stations all over country + just opened another 39. They are spread all over that you have one every 50km. Private ones are just now starting to show up, there are some 5 DC private stations only , because there are not a lot of cars (~1500EVs). The government is just pushing towards that all new fuel stations, office buildings etc. need to have at least one EV charging point installed. But the problem is that all these existing stations offer only 1 place for DC charging (CCS or Chademo). Near capital Riga they are a lot of times already full and you have to wait in queue with 1-2 cars in front. Everywhere else on weekends also start to show up queues on main roads. Government said they wont make any new stations any more, so the charging infrastructure exists, but it's only 1 point everywhere, so I think after a year or two they won't be practically usable , because you will have to wait a long time to get charged.
Also the price they have set up for charging (based on time) ~ the same as I would drive with diesel, maybe 1-2€/100km cheaper. But the waiting times doesn't pay off.
      parking
Charging at home costs 0.14€/kWh so this comes cheap to use.
For travelling nearby countries - I know that Lithuania has free charging (or at least had) as an incentive.
Estonia made government stations all around before ~10 years and they made Chademo+Type2... so they are mostly unusable with CCS cars...
For Poland there aren't a lot of stations.
Also was looking maybe on Ford Tourneo PHEV, looked promising, but the price is too high and in Latvia the car is compared to other ICE cars (the same as old Ampera or BMW i3 REX), so I think I will have to use ICE for a while getting outside city on weeekends...
