Some nice subtle movement in that pine Dave. I think it will have a good year and you'll be able to do some really good things with it in the future, especially under the guidance of Peter.
The base of that pine looks the the knee of a moose! I’m diggin it! I’ve taken the plunge and started a couple Austrian Pines this year. I sure appreciate you sharing the knowledge your gettin on these. I should probably put them in the ground for a couple years though.

Can't you air layer the top of the pine? Would be a waste of such a big trunk not too!
I do think I will try. I’ve been researching it a bit. I hope it’s not too thick.
