@@michaelgrahamwongacutemadness They are from the 1990's, so relatively old, they are very similar to the Simplex 4903-9219/9215/9217, just in a faraday configuration.
Of all of these late Faraday circuit board mechanical horns, it always seems to be the U-HN and U-HNH that sound the most rough. Simplex’s electromechanical 4903s, the Gentex GMS, and even the D1 series Federal Signal 450 never usually sounded this raspy.
I like these Siemens U-HN-S17 horn strobes a lot. I even like how there are mini horn strobes scattered throughout.
I love these horns! I hope none get replaced.
systems with mechanical horns and mini horns are my favorite. Extremely interesting to me.
Those horns are pissed 😂
1:30 Me when I had that nasty cold in the beginning of the year:
1:31 - The Hornet Nest…
Awesome System! Love those old mechanical horns!
they’re not that old pretty much like the old 9833 just a digital diaphragm i think

Its good that they sound angry because then that means people will evacuate faster.
The mini horn sounds like a Kidde Smoke Alarm
Continous with this would be crazy

sometimes they do
I thought the gentex gms was the worst, with the siemens horns coming in close second
Funny you mention the 4903 EM horns because those used the same Faraday mechanisms
Siemens horns running on code 3
And mini horns too
nice pull the fire alarm.💯
Harrington panels/systems are really rare these days
Another rare system i’ve never seen before. Can i get some specs pls?
3:05 Wheelock ZNS or the Edwards mini horn?
Did all classrooms have gentex minihorns or did some have strobes only?
Cool seimens alarm
Was that a mxl system but replaced by silent knight or something
Says in the description that it’s actually a harrington signal system.
Do you work for a fire alarm inspection company? How do you do these tests?
Yes
yeah, the Horns and the Mini-Horn are on code 3
Which devices are the ones that sound like a smoke detector horn instead of the raspy horns?
The mini horns
Devices:
Siemens U-HN's
Wheelock MIZ's
Coding: Code 3
What’s the difference between a horn strobe and a speaker strobe?
A speaker strobe has a loudspeaker and audio transformer and a horn strobe has either a mechanical horn or a piezoelectric horn.
@@davidperry4013 thank you for giving me that information
Is 2:03 a gentex commander mini horn ceiling mount in white
It looks like a heat detector, at least to me it does
lol they Angy
