I like the slow March-time signal! When I went to preschool, elementary school, middle school and high school, we always had fire drills once a month and all schools in Indianapolis Indiana had their fire alarm systems set to sound steady/continuous alarm signal and they are very loud! Every month when we have a fire drill I always liked watching the light flashing at me while the fire alarm bells and horns were blaring!
I went to a middle school that has railroad crossing bells and railroad crossing lights for the fire alarms. Their lights alternate, not flash. They are good ol halogen bulbs.
Back in 6th grade, I used to stand in front of the Gentex mechanical horn strobe because it sounded so raspy and unique and it was so soothing because it was on continuous.
