    • @warchief6733
      @warchief6733  2 года назад +2

      True, anywhere in the world. But if bike theft is a measurement of crime and violence, I’ll take it!
      I’ve seen things you people would never dream in your worst nightmares, both street level AND CORPORATE!
      If there is crime and violence, I’m guessing it’s more corporate and this very clean and tidy.

    I live here and i see this city way different then u have. Been here for many moons. I've seen it all, the good and the bad. It's actually Port Huron across the river where i also lived at one time. You still live here? Native woman here.

      I understand, I was visiting and working there for the summer and saw it from what I experienced. You should let us know what your experience is. I really enjoyed it because it was so different from all the places I visited and worked in. Its a small town about the size of one of our neighborhoods out here and our whole entire city of Winnipeg is about the size of a neighborhood in New York, LA or Chicago.

    7:42 driving the wrong way on Vidal street which is Southbound only he is driving North. At 10:10 the building he is referring to is the Kenwick place they got the approval to build there as long as they provided so many units for social housing floor 3 to 5 is designated to social housing. The rest is full rent. A one bedroom non social housing would go for around $1400-1500 a month.
    At 1:00 he will hear lots of sirens in Sarnia mostly Ambulances as Sarnia is a most old people 50-60 on up. That is also why the crime rate is below average there.
    Wellington Street and South of it from Indian road out to Murphy is still contested land that is Native land.

    I don't know where to start? I enjoyed the video. However there is a lot if information you may have been told or have read that is not accurate. There is no real ghetto here however there are low income housing areas that would be as close as it gets.
    Police will pull you over for traffic violations and they take driving under the influence very seriously.
    You mostly stayed in the older areas of Sarnia. You didn't go to the middle class or rich areas. I would try the subdivisions around the Modeland rd./Michigan rd. Area for middle class. And the lake shore rd. Areas for the rich.
    Crime is low for the most part. However drugs are usualy the main causes of violent crimes. They are not random acts of violence however mostly due to drug debts or alterations between them.
    We have a lot of Taxi companies. Mostly the wait time is about 10 min or so depending on the company you call.
    For the most part in Sarnia the people are friendly and honest willing to help. Most crimes are due to those that are super desperate super poor or addicted to drugs. I agree though I have never heard of a person being mugged here in Sarnia.
    There is a lot of youth here, sadly though many of them like to stay indoors and play videogames or go on social media. I would asume this is true for many cities in Canada these days.
    And yes we can let our children go out and play and not worry about their safety. This is for the most part a safe city to live in.
    Like I said. I enjoyed the video I am not trying to cut down anything you said. My goal was to clarify some information that you may not have known about. As a born and raised local here i would like to say. Welcome to Sarnia my friend and I hope you enjoy your time here. :)

    I did not see in the video the most valuable part of the city as it was missed. That would be under the Blue water bridge where Ice cream fries and more could be bought along with Cantera Park (Lake Huron) which is one of SW Ontario's most prized hidden away gem (Beach) under used and not well known by outsiders. (That is why they call Sarnia Bluewater) and it was missed in the video. Pt Edward and Sarnia spent alot of Money to make the land at the mouth of the lake and river prized public access land. It is a fantastic place to go and see. Other cities would wish they would have thought through plans to do a similar situation that Sarnia is bad at promoting or just wants to keep it a secret from outsiders.

    Hello Sir!! I Just found this driving video, it was really great, enjoyed it.
    I am actually planning to come to Sarnia for my higher studies at Lambton College, so would you please give some advise regarding the place for leaving as a student and availability of part time jobs.

    • @warchief6733

      Rent is about 1200. Apartments are fairly available. Some apartments are shared. Then you have utilities to pay. Groceries are expensive like everywhere else. Good thing is you don’t really need a car. There is one mall. The night life ends around 11. You have to explore different restaurants for your appeal. You may get a gig if you’re good.

    • @warchief6733
      @warchief6733  2 года назад +1

      Yes, I know there is always blow.
      But in Sarnia, with such a small population, it’s probably not out in thee open.
      I for one would never sell blow here because everyone would know who is willing the blow!
      It can’t be that easy.

      Really? How so? I haven’t seen anything that makes this city violent at all. BUT! I have seen that one can find trouble if they’re looking for it. Most people I’ve seen and met are not gangsteh in the least. I’m sure there are some mysterious elements, but it’s not rival gangland out here in the least! Come to my hood and you won’t survive the walk home after dark. In my hood, anyone caught outside after dark will get stabbed. In this town, I can walk anywhere, anytime. I’m sure you’re right about some crime and it may seem really bad if this is your hometown, then yes, you can see it, but where I’m coming from, Sarnia is peaceful.

    ISad to see such a beautifull city so under populated. The landscape was very well planed. You've got water everywhere, nice houses. This is what happens when all the young people want to move to the big city cause they think its cool and hip, oh and they 're crazy enough to pay $2500 a month for a one bedroom shit apartment (no joke). Then naturally the companies follow, (cause half the damn population left). So then of course, the job market sucks. This is happing to small cities all over the country, and its a bad situation.

      Theft and drugs are crazy in this city the schools are over packed with students. I grew up one block over from where you live I grew up seeing cops coming light and sirens every day many times a day sirens are going off every day many times a day this is not a peaceful city you don't know anything abot this city you must be very new here everything you said was not true you turned off of london line why would london line be a block down aswell? Lol that was exmouth there is tons of organized crime here Blow meth heroin ecstasy fentanyl Any drug you can think of you can get anywhere in this city People don't display dealing drugs. You have to know them. You are so blind to what's actually going on in this city. And what has been going on in this city for the past 50 years And in this video, you're only Showing the well kept areas you're not showing the areas that actually harvard the problems If you wanna see actual millionaires go down Lakeshore road. Everybody in sarnia knows that. You did not say one true thing about sarnia. You have no idea what you're talking about. When you're talking about this city. You don't even know 0.1% about what's happening in this city. It's a nice video to see the city. But you gotta get your facts straight before you start spewing out your ass about shit you didn't even show half the city
