Because it is a dirty thing. Knw why they are using blue instead of black? Because they can reproduce them and make them look more authentic. So they dont want the autographs for them -they want to duplicate and sell them online. Thats whats so sad.

A real class act. He had to sign absolutely zero autographs and the fact that he signed some of the stuff later on just proves that he cares. Fans gotta relax though.
@Night Owl Productions Wings? Yes, his pilot licence. He's been a real hazard in the sky these past few years, with some near misses and a crash on a golf course. Who raised me? By parents who care about the well being of others. The Fumbo Muffin if you notice Ford does his pointing in nearly all his movies.... but hes cool and intimidating at the same time.. Ford is the best period.
Came looking for video footage substantiating rumors that Harrison Ford was a grumpy old man. Found an extremely cordial and patient man trying his hardest not to snap at a bunch of incredibly irritating jackasses who would make the Pope himself recite George Carlin's Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television after about 20 seconds exposure.
Harrison was nice enough to sign as many as he could. I don't blame him for getting angry. I would love an autograph from him. The horrible thing is he knows the people are going to take those items and sell them on ebay for ridiculous money!
Well to be fair, these fans are the reason he makes millions through his movies, why shouldn’t people profit from a signature that takes 1 second to write?
I think most celebs are respectful and like their fans. When they are not it is normally situations like this where people just push it way to far and they are justifiably upset. Or maybe they would prefer to control their name and make money from it. Nothing wrong with that either in my opinion. Why should they sign crap just so someone else can sell it.

@@davidlindsay9564 Lol, where did you get the idea that somebody can't be stalked when they're in a public place? That is ludicrous. Better tell the courts they have to exclude public places from restraining orders because if you're in a public place, you can't be stalked. Stalking has everything to do with unwanted attention/presence and nothing to do with the venue. Harrison Ford was gracious enough to sign autographs for this crowd of jackals, but he would have been perfectly within his rights to walk away, and he could absolutely press charges if somebody persistently dogged him through the streets of the city.
I feel sorry for people that are famous and have to go this! Having total strangers come up to you and invade your personal space and go through this strange ritual of having to write your name on photos or books or posters or other strange/irrelevant objects ( like the guitar pick guard in this video ). I'm sure the famous people are grateful for the positive vibes by the true fans for the most part, but at the same time they can't tell if people want autographs just to sell on Ebay to make a quick buck, or if they are real supporters. I'm sure that most famous people are nice under normal circumstances, but they are forced to be defensive and sometimes hostile when they are followed everywhere they go in their private lives by people who want to shove a piece of paper and pen in their faces ( and then their hostile behaviour becomes a viral video on RUclips ). Several years ago I asked a famous hockey player for an autograph, and I'll never forget the sour look he gave me. I've never asked for or wanted anyone's autograph since then. It just seems like they are being drained of positive energy whenever they sign autographs.
depends on how and where you ask. Sports guys are by and large dicks, always have been. Outside of NY and LA its not as chaotic. Harrison is a big name doesn't live there, so when he is there, he gets hit up. thats how it is.

lol, yeah, you go and feel sorry for someone who has made $230 million because fans went to the cinema and watched his movies, bought DVDs... then had the cheek to ask him to take a pen and sign his name. And what if they do sell them? Harrison Ford worked out a deal where he made MILLIONS from getting a percentage of Star Wars action figures and toys. Some of these guys are only doing the same... making money. If people want to buy signed memorabilia from them then so be it, they've clearly seen an opportunity the same way he did thru merchandise. I have a number of signed pictures. But they are from controlled environments. Where they are specifically somewhere signing. Or a lot of autographs I get through the mail. Getting an autographed through the mail feels a lot better. You can write a real nice personal letter to them. You can send the picture that you want signed. And sometimes they'll write you back and thank you for your letter. 😉

Let the man have his peace. You can't imagine how frustrating it must be for him not being able to enjoy going on the streets without people like these crowding him.
When 3 plus people have sent their stuff to Gio to get signed and paid a lot, it's not. He has more than one movie doesn't he? Who wouldn't want a Han Solo,And Indy, and a Blade Runner. or whatrver.

@@davidlindsay9564 again that's not true. Mark Hamill stopped signing through the mail and in person outside of convention appearances because people like the ones in the video will take an original signature and use it to forge the signature on other items including fake props. It's a huge problem and costs fans millions of dollars a year in fraud. Even if legit why would a scribbled name with one hand while standing up and being crowded be of any real value to a fan? People will pay for it but these parasites aren't doing any favours for anybody. I bet Harrison Ford would rather sign for 3 x as many people one the sidewalk if they were all real fans who will go home excited with a single signed poster as a cherished memento.
@@patrickmurray9359 That was after Hamill spent decades signing anything and everything in person and through the mail, for free and he was well aware that people were possibly selling them. He would tell people I don't mind signing all these but if you sell any of these keep the price low for fans. he once signed a stack of photos for a dealer guy, and some kids came up, and they didn't have anything, and mark nodded to the guy, and the guy nodded back, and Mark gave each of the kids one of the photos, then he told the guy "thanks, Got anymore? I'll be glad to sign them". I never bought one when they were as cheap as $25 as I wanted to get my stuff signed myself. He NEVER did the con circuit much in the 70s 80s 90s even 2000s. Then suddenly when the money got to be crazy he started do the shows. Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford are 2 different things. I booked a flight I made a plan, I went to NYC, and I got Harrison Ford in 98. I got my 2 and a photo with. If I hadn't done that, I'd have been glad to have paid one of these guys to get my stuff done. In fact, If he wasn't doing official signings I would maybe pay one of there guys to get some things finished. Be glad there are people doing this as they get more out there into the world, and demand goes down, as does the price. You wish you had an Alec Guinness? Thank "people like this" and "people like me", who were getting multiples, so they aren't THAT hard to find now. Otherwise they'd be like trying to find a Sebastian Shaw or worse. If I met a guy who got a hundred from Jack Purvis, I'd thank him for doing it even if he had sold them all.
@@patrickmurray9359 That's is ridiculous, there are thousands of examples of Mark's signatures online, and even before the internet, there was plenty of merch with pre-printed signatures where people could do that with. Thats sounds like some Mark PR, because yes there are fakes, but if he cast aspersions on the Hamill inks out there as a whole, then who does that benfit the most? Him, people will be more leary, and more likely to go directly to him. To his credit people can tweet him and ask about them, which is nice of him. Why would a scribbled signature be of any value to a real fan? Because it IS! People send items they need Harrison on to these guys you call parasites, and pay them to get their item signed. They are putting forth more effort than you are to get these signed. If you knew one of these "parasites" and you visited NY,you'd be begging and paying them to help put you in the spot to meet HF. Lets say Harrison would do that. OK, where are these "real fans"? Why aren't they there, instead of these guys. One of the guys in this video is Radio. ALL the celebs sign for radio, even when they don't sign for anybody, even though they know he is selling them. So if you had your friend who wasn't a SW wait outside to get an autograph for you, and Harrison quized him and he failed as he was not a fan. You would be ok with that? These guys get autographs, because people want them. Have you ever met Harrison Ford? Has he ever denied you an autograph? And told you this is why? No. You are speculating on hypothetical situations and other peoples motivations for doing or not doing things. You are jealous of people who have opportunities that you don't have. And judging them. I went to New York, I got my 2 inks from HF, and photo with. You just don't know what you are talking about. Harrison knows full well some of these people are selling. But he also knows where they end up. He would rather sign 5 for Radio, than want to deal with 5 fans who would want to geek out on him. He is a nice man, and he does what he wants. He stopped the car on the street for me and called me over, (long story), this was in 1998. Got my 2 inks and a photo with. I geeked out on him at the end. You don't know what you are talking about, and I do. If one of these "parasites" had been in the UK and gotten a hundred Sebastian Shaw or Jack Purvis autographs they should have a medal pinned on them. We would ALL be better off.
Man from Harrisons point of view I would have punched that guy filming this in the face. He interrupts him when he is speaking and already got 2 autographs so he should be happy and leave Harrison alone.
Dude sometimes you’ve gotta admit that those second thoughts about become famous hits in in moments like these. People flocking up on you like pigeons to bread crumbs is not a very nice feeling
Seeing these guys swarming around Harrison Ford like vultures, not giving him space or even privacy for that matter all for just an autograph, makes me so mad.
I was tempted to buy an autograph of his online but after watching this I'm relieved that this will save me several thousand dollars. Not because I'm worried about them being fake on ebay but because he was probably stalked and harassed to get it.
Like a bunch of vultures. Then you wonder why people don’t sign autographs for fans. I met him about a year ago at the Van Nuys California airport. I was walking to the FBO while my plane was being fueled and was passing him standing by his plane. He was waiting for some people to arrive and a commented on the color green of the aircraft. We started talking and he motioned me to follow him into the hangar to show me his other planes and helicopter. We must have talked for 30 minutes before his wife and a couple people showed up. I thanked him for the time and he said thanks for mine. We exchanged phone numbers and he said “ let’s go flying sometime “. I didn’t run up to him like a crazy fan or make him uncomfortable. I knew who it was and knew his plane because in the industry we meet well known people and know who is a pilot or who has a certain tail number etc. I haven’t flown with him but he did send me a text several weeks later telling me he was going to be in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for the July 4th holiday and wanted to know if I was coming through that area. I was flying several trips from my home in Colorado to different places but Jackson Hole wasn’t on my list. Eventually it will happen but I’m not worried. Definitely a nicer guy than what you saw on the video.
Here is how it works, you go to like an official meetup or convention where, brace yourself, YOU pay for an autograph because it is the least you can do for that celebrity taking time out of their day for YOUR entertainment and enjoyment. YOU DON’T hunt them down like a creep on the streets and even ARGUE with them when they respectfully say no more autographs. They are people too and you see them as animals in cages at a zoo.
David Lindsay yes this is how it really works. 100% guarantee you wouldn’t want to be harassed by a mob every time you went out in public. Think before you write ur comment.
@@Ethan839 No, it is not. You think HF is ever going to do a signing and/or photo op at a con? $1000 send ins are all you can expect. hopefully that'll happen again. As far as me being famous....Maybe I would, maybe I wouldn't like it. I would accept that it is a part of the deal. As HF said "you give up certain things and gain certain things in return what I have gained is substantial". He obliges for as long and as much as he wants to. You don't understand the way it works. exhibit A. guy went up to Paul Simon at baggage claim asked for an ink, he said "nah" and waved his hand away. About 10 secs later a guy walked up and asked him Simon said "Nah" The guy said "Oh please I'm a huge fan" Simon said "Ah ok" as he was signed he nodded his head toward the guy walking off and said "he must not have wanted it too bad". Sometimes you have to work for it a little. In this video going in HF sees Radio, remembers him, and Radio doesn't push it, when HF comes back out he signs for Radio, knowing what he does with them, and then the other people get what they can. If you want an HF ink, Be there. Do what it takes. I did. I got my 2 inks and photo with, and it went great. I got a one on one meet in NYC with HF in 98. I can also say it was a positive experience for me, AND him. So you should think, and know who you are dealing with before you comment.
David Lindsay he probably signed it to get him to go away. Not like you would care though. You seem to be taking the side of the paparazzi. What I find most disturbing about this video is that Mr. Harrison was just trying to go to some appointment he had when he was bombarded by all of these people. And you can complain all you want about how it really works, my point still stands. And guess what, if he doesn’t go to conversations then you don’t get things signed. That simple. Celebrities are not gods, they are people, you can live without Harrison’s signature on ur Star Wars lunch box. I realize though the only reason you are saying these things is because you yourself do it, but just put yourself in their shoes, imagine ur life but with the added mess. I’m done arguing with you though because I know you are not gonna change your mind about this and I have said what I have needed to say. Have a nice day.
@@Ethan839 LOL. Autograph getters are not Papparazi. He is going to an appointment, and signed some autographs, as is expected when he is in NYC. He saw Radio, he knows Radio, the guy has been a collector and seller for decades, the celebs know him, they sign for him when they don't sign for anybody else, his had bit parts in movies like Zoolander. He's like a mascot, they consider him good luck when he is at film sets. HF doesn't go to conventions. So I did my homework back in 1998, made connections with people in the know, booked my flight, did something that put me ahead of the game to ensure things went smooth. I got my photo with HF, I got a one on one meeting, private conversation and i got my 2 autographs. It went fine for him and for me. I know this because of people in the loop/his management. It's not wishful thinking. Some people laughed at me for doing it, as it ran me about $450 for the trip. Now the same people who laughed then are calling me now wanting in on the action. Dude you got any of those Star Wars autographs.? As well as the people paying a grand for a send it. I was smart, ahead of the game. I didn't get a lunchbox signed, don't be silly, I got a scene cast photo signed (with Guinness) one of less than 10 known. Worth a lot personally and financially. Sure, I'll put myself in Harrison's shoes, but that includes his pants and the wallet in his back pocket. Yeah, I can handle it. Having to stop and scribble your name here and there isn't that big a deal when you have dynasty wealth. I did consider how he felt about things, its too much to get into, but he was going to bend a rule for me, and I gave another option and he said "THAT would be great, that would be even better". So he didn't have to break the rule. Yeah, "they are just people" Yeah they are, but we all have our childhood heroes. People like you say "I would never trouble so and so" Yeah, you wouldn't because you would never see them, Same type of person who will sit next to some 2nd string sports guy on a flight and tell stories about it forever. The kind of guy who would say "I would never trouble Stevie Nicks for an autograph" and then says "Oh my gosh look its Troy Dungan (local TV weather guy). and sprints across the room. There is someone you like you'd fan boy out if you met them.
This is why Frank Oz stopped signing altogether. I have a few autographs, but I obtained them all at conventions. I would never do this to someone in public.

Harrison Ford is one of the all-time iconic actors. He's box office and highly talented. Unfortunately, it breeds this kind of stuff. You take the bad with the good I suppose. I think most fans mean well, but they get excited and nervous they'll miss their chance for an autograph.

Maybe I’m being too cynical but I don’t think these autograph seekers are “fans” in the slightest. Why do you think they have so much material prepared? For them, it’s purely inventory and they sell these things. So, this is a business transaction, no genuine fans in sight, I think.

As far as being harassed, truth be told, he likes the attention - like most actors - i.e., having people come up to him asking for his autograph, yelling his name. That's one of the reasons they become an actor.

I think most celebs are respectful and like their fans. When they are not it is normally situations like this where people just push it way to far and they are justifiably upset.

@@davidlindsay9564 again that's not true. Mark Hamill stopped signing through the mail and in person outside of convention appearances because people like the ones in the video will take an original signature and use it to forge the signature on other items including fake props.
I wouldn't have characterized that as swearing "at" fans.

Harrison isn't doing any cons, and only recently did a send in for a grand per ink. You have no idea how it "really works".
I would never do this to someone in public.
now i dont blame celebrities for not signing jack all
This video never gets old love watching it. All the videos i see of him he always signs for alot of people he just wants people to stand back, and not scream. If they dont he will leave, but he seems like a very cool guy.
My dad met Harrison in a London pub 2 days back it was completely empty and what happened makes my day, he was just having some pints with his mates, then all of a sudden calista flockheart and he walks in, my dad grew up idolizing him and wanted to be an archeologist because of him, he ended up being a chef but close enough so anyway he bought them pints and a meal and they all had a long chat and I’m pleased to say that they were incredibly polite humble and charming according to my dad, of course at the end he got a picture and when he sent it to us I was screaming for 20 minutes, makes me so happy this happened you can believe me or not but truly an amazing experience for my dad
I believe you. Seems like Mr Ford and I don’t even know the guy outside of films.
@@Filthy_Larry my dad turned into a kid again man seeing him, I’m praying Indiana 5 is good because I’ve heard the rumors and it’s…
Harrison Ford is one of the all-time iconic actors. He's box office and highly talented. Unfortunately, it breeds this kind of stuff. You take the bad with the good I suppose. I think most fans mean well, but they get excited and nervous they'll miss their chance for an autograph.
You people need help!
@IPA SOLÉ 3
@IPA SOLÉ one who love them and want to renmber
@IPA SOLÉ like kids
@IPA SOLÉ I now but would it be nice?
I applaud his efforts. Most movie stars wouldn’t even look their way
Nor should they.
They're not "fans". They're just looking to make some money from selling these signed posters.
He’s a good guy actually waited to get everyone autographs even though some would sell them
Harrison Ford will travel back in time and sign everything, "AUTOGRAPHS ARE NOT WORTH MONEY."
😂😂😂 This man flying
"I'm not fuckin doing this" 😂 mad respect.
And wtf does "stay black" mean?
In the context of this autograph scrum, it means nothing. I've been racking my brains to come up with a logical explanation. Maybe the guy filming uses that as his catch phrase or something.
This is harassment and they shouldn’t be allowed to sign autographs you look at those people and you get a good sense of who they are if it was children running up to him and be a completely different story about this but these guys are purposely pushy it’s a real shame that stuff like this isn’t illegal
The way he's protrayed in the title is wrong. He's rather polite
Christ - no way I would be able to handle that with such grace as he did!
I feel so bad for actors and actresses that have to deal with this
Depends if I like them. Lol 😆 Harrison I like, obviously
Maybe I’m being too cynical but I don’t think these autograph seekers are “fans” in the slightest. Why do you think they have so much material prepared? For them, it’s purely inventory and they sell these things. So, this is a business transaction, no genuine fans in sight, I think.
Ah yes a Harrison Ford signed baseball, no collection is complete without one.
