    IAC is my guess. Common 5.4 2v issue.
    What concerns me on the 6r80 swaps is without a coyote PCM, you are forced to use a standalone controller.
    I'd love one behind my 5.4 3V in my '04, but all my research over the past few years shows those controllers being super finicky, tough to iron out and a head ache. The 6r80 has so many parameters that are taken into account in the oem vehicle that affect driveability.
    Just what I've found as someone who has toyed with it as an eventual endeavor, but no longer would.
    That's why Pat has had my upmost respect over all the years I've known him on the forums. His coyote swap was unreal due to no support like there is no on even those swaps.

    How much for the short block?
    I put 2k into my rear end, be sure to upgrade the posi.
    I put 4K into my 4R100 with a billet converter, huge deal.
    Hardened axles and brakes... a must.

      Project_5.4_2v 2WD my man. I got so lucky. I got a RCSB 5.4 XLT trim with a 4R100 (not the 4R70w) *non lightning.
      Not many like it. At the time I didn’t like the flair side (now I love it 🤦‍♂️) and I figured why not save $25k on the lightning package and put $25k into the XLT instead.
      2001 street trucks magazine cover with KMC wheels. First ever truck to make cover with all black, no graphics - to this day. 1st ever to have 22” wheels and tires, back in 1999-2000 before 22” tires even existed.
      Had the very very very first set of prototype 22” Dunlop tires, that weren’t even DOT approved yet (SP9000’s)
      Had a KMC wheel sponsor, Dunlop Tire sponsored me as well and PPG paint. I was the flagship vehicle for KMC back in 2000-2001 using my black F150. Fully shaved body. Molded tailgate and rollpan. Custom made flush Mount tonneau cover. Vortec supercharged tuned on meth with 9lb pulley. Huge huge huge stereo. Hits 137db from 2.7ft3 (that’s Jack shit for airspace)

    Have you thought about doing an electric cut out on your exhaust? Can open it up if you're feeling rowdy and trying to get some more race action. Or keep it closed for GRAMPS sleeper action.

      You want return. Fuel temps get high as hell in a returnless system specially on these boosted cars.

      @@LITTLEBRAT775081 I found some on summit racing for a decent price. It's powertrax pro for the rear and auburn gears for the front. But I'm not installing it. I'm taking it to a speed shop and having them put 4:10s on it while there in there. I just heard that it can be a nightmare messing with the differential. I think it's because it's a electronic rear end

    How does 5.4l 2v with the turbo work out? I have a 03 Crown Vic I am contemplating dropin in a 5.4l 2v with Wiesco pistons and K1 rods and either turbo or supercharging her. I haven't seen anyone with a turbo 5.4L to get any info from. What kind of numbers are you getting and what size turbo? Any info would be helpful. Thank you. Man the truck looks good and sounds badass.

      I know this is really old.news to you but it's brand new to me. Man 400 whp and 500 ft to the wheels in a crown vic that is a bit lighter then your truck would Def be fast. She ways 4200lbs. Thank you for the content brother. I APPRECIATE it.

      Depending on when my current motor goes, I may run the stock heads with cams while I save up for something like Trickflow heads. Still researching that part.

      @@AutoDetour trick flow has a full top end kit for them including cams for stage 3 boost and much better heads but I can respect running stockers my build has to be super budget until I can afford better stuff.

      I got a 10 f-150 3v 5.4l that I'm going to put 4:10s in. Mine comes factory with the 3:73 and I still think it needs more. But mines not boosted yet.
