So beautiful :) ...what happens to the flowers when the candles begin to melt? Do the flowers fall off, or do they fall into the pool of wax at the center of the candle?

Good question rahila! Actually when we burn pillar candles of wide diameter the centre of the candle melts and goes down . The sides remain as it is.

Usually I cut of the sides when the centre goes so deep.

dry flowers with less water content are the best ones. bougainvilla or baby's breath kind of flowers.
