fun fact: saying the Prof. Huyang figure is inaccurate isn't entirely true. While his design isn't accurate to the Ahsoka show, it is 100% accurate to his appearance in the Clone Wars. either way a great minifig tho
@@maydayfigsnaw. he’d look stupid with a battle droid body or something. Huyang has a similar stature to protocol droids. think what c3po would look like with a regular droid body.
@@Queso-Dip I would say if they did Huyang like the medical droid figures, it would have been the best course. Huyang has skinny legs and arms which a mini figure body doesn’t provide. It would also invite an easier and more seamless way to add his additional arms.
Loki from the quinjet and Ninjago's recently introduced Sora and Lord Raz are all up there for me. All feel like a step above the average fig for relatively easy ones to get
I agree! Absolutely loved the architect and for me it was a complete surprise! I’ve never seen both generations of LOTR figs together! Very interesting seeing the differences
My number one rule for being part of a fandom is to never interact with other members of said fandom.....and thst goes double for lego star wars fans lol. I just enjoy all the figures we're getting now that I wanted as a kid watching clone wars. Also you were dead on, that amazing hair hat combo is a cancelled vidiyo piece, I really liked the color wave it was originally supposed to be in.
my #1 this year is the Nightmare king from Dreamzzz, love everything about him. but i think Izzy with her fantastic hair is also a strong contender and a good #2 from the theme. EDIT: and that both came in one of my favourite sets this year is just a bonus!
I just wanted to point out that the minifigure of Ellie Sattler you showed wasn't included in 76959. That one had mud markings on it. Yours is from the Brachiosaurus Discovery. Small nitpick, though, great video!
I love seeing what other people think are the best minifigures from each year. At some point, I'd love to see a top 10-20 (maybe more though) minfigures of all time.
Yes! The Moon Knight figure is just too good 🌙 I know it’s not the craziest show either but I enjoyed it a lot. (Un)fortunately I’ve been a Star Wars fan my whole life (kinda didn’t have a choice growing with the prequels lol) but my favorite fig this year has to be the new Coruscant Guard. I know I’ve geeked out about them enough on the discord but the simple red and white just scratch my brain good. Also am I the only lego Star Wars fan that is happy with what we got this year?
@@CheeseyStudiosI personally don’t mind them. I love the ability to customize my minifigures more. I don’t care that it’s “inaccurate” Also, I don’t mind that Captain Rex didn’t have a waist cape. I do have an issue with the print opacity on the Commander Fox torso though. It’s not thick enough of a print & looks way too pink for white printing.
Agree on the #1 pick, and I'll tie Mr. Knight with Moon Knight. I loved the Stitch and Baymax from the Disney line and Robot Warrior- I have a soft spot for anything resembling mecha designs.
I love huyang. As someone who saw him first in clone wars, i still the the figure needs work, but i could def guess that's him just based off the silhouette. And holy smokes that moon knight figure is fantastic!!!
For me best figure is ...Nighhunter from dreamzzz. But if we are talking about "PREMIUM FEEL" It would be Moonknight. I do however agree on Architect. Not only it looks superb, its print quality is VERY good.
Just happy a figure from Rivendell made the list, Gimli and any of the hobbits are some awesome figs too! Love getting the ability to have Gimli with his helmet off and the hobbits with the dual molded legs! 😋
Here’s my top 10 minifigures of the year: 1. T-Rex Fan from series 24 because I love T-Rexes! 2. Toby Maguire Spider Man from the No Way Home set. 3. Indiana Jones from the new sets. 4. Storm from the Marvel CMF because that cape that goes over the hands is SO cool! 5. Izzie from Dreamzzz, that hair piece is the best! 6. Stitch from the Disney CMF, those double arms are so cool. 7. Shrimp Soldier from Monkie Kid 8. Vision from the new Avengers Tower. 9. Sora from Ninjago Season 16. 10. Raptor Rider from City Stuntz, once again I love Dinosaurs. Honorable Mentions because there were way too many good minifigures this year: Beast from the Marvel CMF, Zane & Jay from Ninjago, Emerald Armor Steve from Minecraft, Robot Warrior from Series 24, Orc from Series 24, Arbalest Knight from Minecraft, Moon Knight, Marrok from Star Wars, Sabine Wren from Star Wars, Karina from The Little Mermaid set, Baymax from the Disney CMF, Imperium Claw Hunter from Ninjago, Andrew Garfield Spider Man from No Way Home, & Tsireya from Avatar. With these Honorable Mentions it really turns into a top 25 list but whatever.
Great video! As much as your list has some great figs I’d probably make a few changes. I was actually really impressed with the Azure Lion figure from the start of the year, despite having no arm printing that new hair piece and awesome cape make up for it. Scarbior was also one of my favourites well not being a super over the too minifigure super accurate and his first appearance. I’d also add another figure or two from Rivendell (definitely Gandalf a close second to Boromir) but I can see you wanting more variety 😅. Can’t wait for the Parts video because that tends to be the most interesting to me, Great vid Caleb ❤
I just wanted to avoid having a bunch of uber-expensive sets on the list is all. I do love Gringotts, and it was certainly one of the highlights of 2023!
Moon Knight might just be my Favorite lego minifigure of all time!! He is just such a cool looking figure. With all the printing everywhere. And cool accessories.
For sure! So the individual minifigures LEGO sells have always been sold in bags, which has allowed you to feel out which figure you're getting. This year, however, they've moved to boxes, where it's impossible to tell.
Great selection! I will add Arin or Sora as they are a big change for Ninjago. Especially Sora, because she has this lovely arm print. And don't forget about Indiana Jones!
As a lego store employee i always made a point to ask customers who bought the marvel cmf figures wbich character they were hoping for and without fail they would almost always say moonknight
Interesting list. I’m still working on mine, but I’ve only got #3 and #1 from your list in my top 10. Lots of good minifigures this year- over 1000 were released.
Yeah! This'll be my third time doing it. I really like having that direct comparison too of seeing how much has changed. Except the thumbnail. I can't be bothered to change that lol!
Just pulled two Moon Knights at a local Walgreens. Not bad for picking up three boxes randomly (the other was She-Hulk). I wish the minifigure pamphlet included the character names, for those of us not completely up-to-date on all things Marvel.
Oh wait, as they keep going Is the Moon Knight gonna be first? Cause its my favorite! its really good at adding the detail not possible in the comics and modifying suit elements in the same way the character was modified, and they managed to capture all that detail in the figure!

I was expecting the evil king from dreamzzz (i forgot his actual name) to be on this list, because that figure was great! But I can see why Izzie was there instead, she was also an incredible figure
