Two standouts for me this year were the Grand Inquisitor and Van Gogh. The GI's armour piece goes a long way to increase the size and intimidating status of the character. Van Gogh is a person I never expected to have a minifigure of but he's instantly recognisable and the decision to replicate his brush strokes through his torso and leg printing is so inspired.
I got to see Van Gogh in person after I had recorded this, and I must confess I regret not giving him a spot! Starry Night definitely makes the top 10 sets list though :)
I was gonna say about the van Gogh minifig, I was very lucky this Christmas and got The Starry Night set. Absolutely fantastic set, I'd love to see Cheesey cover it in the future.
I really appreciate when a LEGO list of any kind acknowledges that themes other than Marvel and Star Wars exist. Thanks! I’m really glad I found your channel this year and I’m excited to see what you get up to in 2023.
My favorite minifigure from your list is Aloy, no objections there, it's a beautiful figure and the hairpiece especially sells it. I'm surprised that C-3PO from UCS Luke's Landspeeder didn't make the list. I know we've seen plenty of iterations of the character, but that set featured the best one yet.
Yeah, he was definitely the best version of the figure yet! I personally just don't care much for the character much, and that's probably why I glossed over him as an option. An honorable mention for sure though!
tbh I wish they would've made the leg in silver instead of light bluish gray, so for me the best one is still the one that comes in the trash compactor
I got tall neck for Christmas and was really impressed by aloy! The thing on the side of her head is called the focus. It is what lets her have “video game vision” but there is a good in game explanation as to why this allows her to see things others can’t.
My absolute FAVORITE minifigure of the year has to be Golden Dragon Zane from Kai’s Golden Dragon Raider. All 4 of the Golden Dragon Ninja are amazing though! All 4 limbs are transparent as well as the heads & the masks are dual molded with pearl gold & that ninja’s transparent color. Plus they come with dual molded wings as well that are just SO AMAZING! Definitely my favorite minifigures of the year hands down! The Green Dragon from Series 23 & Night Protector from Series 22 get honorable mentions though.
Agreed, they probably should’ve taken the snow villagers spot. It’s cool but are there any dual molds? No. Any transparent parts? No. Any back printing? No (Maybe that part can’t have back printing but still). And the printing there is pretty basic. Overall just not as much put into it as the dragon mini figs, and there’s 4 of them!
@@ClTHtiB I agree. Golden Dragon Jay is my favorite minifigure from this year but, if Caleb likes other minifigures more, that’s fine with me because it’s his video.

Personally i much prefer the uniqueness and the red torso of the BLACKSMITH Savannah villager. A unique head print with eyepatch, metallic printing on the specialised mould and the completeness of the detailing makes this my No.1 Spot for 2022. Super excited for everything to come from you in 2023!
Thanks for giving speed champions some love! Very underrated theme by people. I've started getting into it recently and it is so fun. The building experience is great and the prices for them are pretty good. I highly reccomend it for you
I've always been thoroughly impressed with the vehicles. I'm nothing of a car guy myself, but I can certainly appreciate a beautiful LEGO set, regardless of what it depicts!

I really love to see these top ten lists coming from your channel too! Keep up the good work :]
One Minifig that I really liked this year was the Phase II Commander Cody that came with the Utapau AT-TE set. The design isn't anything noteworthy compared to the some of the ones on your list but it's been a long time since there's been a Commander Cody Minifig and it's the first time getting a Phase II variant of him. My only wish is that the helmet piece had another small hole so you could have both the visor and antennae attached. Some arm printing also would've been stellar.
I loved this list! I’m surprised the new C-3PO didn’t show up though… The printing on almost every spot imaginable was so cool plus a new gold and grey dual molded leg
As a castle fan, I love that LEGO has been producing more castle minifigures (Lion Knights, Forestmen, and the new Pink Knights) to compliment the Black Falcon figures that released last year. We just need some new Wolfpack guys to join in the party!
I'm so glad Lego went all out with the Aloy figure, the dual molded trans blue on the hair to show her focus being used, the insane amount of detail on her hairs braids, the amount of detailing on her clothes and two amazing face prints just make her my all time fav lego figure.

That's fair! I just found the wing piece to be too un-LEGO-like for my tastes. The addition of the Villager was more to appease the many Minecraft fans here, too (plus I do like Minecraft figs lol)
Trans blue little piece on Aloys hair is called a focus, the clear plastic is supposed to be holographic light coming from the triangle on her head print. Also just so you know it's pronounced A-loy. Hard A, & "loy" as in loid with out the d

I love Horizon so much and that Aloy minifigure is perfection. They really went all out on her. I wish that we'd get more LEGO Horizon sets but I sadly doubt that they'll happen. At least we got 1 though.
It really came out of the blue, but it's great to see how well it was received!
Surprised to see the Ninjago Dragon Ninja didn’t make it. They’re some of the absolute best minifigures Lego has ever made. Even as a massive Minecraft fan myself they’re far more worthy of the list than the Villager.
That's fair! I just found the wing piece to be too un-LEGO-like for my tastes. The addition of the Villager was more to appease the many Minecraft fans here, too (plus I do like Minecraft figs lol)
They all taste pretty similar.
When are they going to make scented plastics and such?
Ah yes, it's only a matter of time now 😂
Good vid
Thanks!
Trans blue little piece on Aloys hair is called a focus, the clear plastic is supposed to be holographic light coming from the triangle on her head print.
Also just so you know it's pronounced A-loy. Hard A, & "loy" as in loid with out the d
Ah! Thank you for the heads up!
I'm not a fan of the franchise, but the #2 mini fig is incredible
Right with ya there. The minifig team does good work!
I feel like you would be a character in the MCU
Lol! I'm flattered 😂 What kind of character would I play?
@@CheeseyStudios I don’t know, but you would have some sort of doctor strange ability.
#4 looks like Villager Van Gogh
True 😂
Number 4: a villager name jerry from the snowy tundra
Ah yes, Jerry :)
